Just yesterday I was talking to a friend on Facebook about how cruel social media can be at times. There are no holds barred when it comes to sharing an opinion behind a smart phone or computer screen.
We have talked about this specific scenario before, parents sharing pictures of their children hoping to get a positive response but instead getting a ton of negative feed back.
In this case a mom installed faux locs on her little girl and Tweeted the above picture with the simple caption ‘Faux locs done by me’.
The backlash that happened after that included the following:
“This child on my TL with these faux locs looks like she’s in so much pain”
“Child abuse”
“DO NOT! DO NOT! DO NOT! GIVE A CHILD HAIR EXTENSIONS*, TRACKS, FAUX LOCS OR ANY SYNTHETIC S***! LET THERE NATURAL HAIR GROW!”
“Faux locs hurt me so bad I couldn’t go into work for two days. That poor child”
My approach to this scenario is that a style like that is not for my child. Faux locs might be great for another person’s child and who am I to tell a woman how to care for her own child.
On the flip side of things, moms need to understand that when you put your child out in a public forum, prepare for the trolls and opinionated key board typers of the world to pick your child apart.
Even though people say that they do not care about the opinions of others, that never transcends to the moment you decide to share any personal picture of you or your children.
Many readers called this mom out for child abuse based on the style choice. Now that is a serious allegation to make solely on the basis of a style.
When the accusations get that bad, posting the picture in the first place isn’t even worth it.
Ilesha Douglas says
How is THISchild abuse and (excuse my language) but b**ches putting weave and fake hair in they childs hair at young ages OKAY. She couldve wanted themor starting dreads like, get out of other people business
Joy Tovar says
You took the words right out of my mouth right there. So it’s ok for little girls to braids with synthetic hair and.to get regular dreadlocks but it’s not ok for this little girl to get faux locks? Really? Sound a bit hypocritical to me. This mother is NOT beating her child or starving her so I don’t see how the hell this is even considered abuse. These haters really need to get a life already and stop worrying about somebody else’s child and worry about their own,
Ilesha Douglas says
Right!! They wanna talk about abuse how about the moms who make their kids do pagents… Putting them in heels make up fake hair and all that
Tk Tatum Richey says
Me personally I think weave in children’s hair whether it be box braids ,Ghana braids it anything else with weave is tacky we try to grow them up too quick with this weave, makeup tight clothes etc its too much
Tina Waters says
Hair extensions on children do not compare in anyway to tight clothes or makeup on a child.
People put braids in their girls hair (natural or synthetic) to keep from over processing it with products and styling. I have yet to see a child grow up too fast from having her hair braided. If that’s the case nearly every black girl grew up too fast because we all got our hair braided.
People are so quick to judge and offer their expert opinion, they don’t take time out to realize how dumb that opinion sounds.
Ilesha Douglas says
Umm nobodyis givingan “expert” opinon and you obvisiouly have not seenthis generation you must be blind because alot of children nowadays grew upand or is growing up too fast. Certain stuff is not for a certain age group is all we are saying, if you have a problem with that then you can get off my comment. On topof that nobody said anything about a certain ethnicity either
Latoya says
Thats true and it’s a shame
Tiarra Honey says
ALL THESE MOTHERS OUT HERE PUTTING WEAVE IN THEIR CHILDREN HEADS AND SHE GOT CAUGHT??? SMH THAT’S F**KED UP!!!
Shekietha Edwards says
People really need to learn how to mind their own damn business. When there’s a real case of child abuse those same damn f**ktards don’t open their damn mouth to say s**t.
Keisha Banzai Blandon says
B**ches perm their babies hair at 2 years old but THIS is abuse? Sleep. All of you need sleep. Lol it’s to tight but she doesn’t look like she’s hurting from it. Plus, I my ass beat with wooden spoons, belts, and shoes. I now suffer with being a responsible adult with common sense. Stop the press!
Casandra S Sweeney says
Not because there locks was done painful and s**t mean the little girl one was …. It the woman child let she do what she wants with her child …. I did not feel her 9 months of labour or go out to work to get the money to feed and care this child … I did not open my legs and feel the pain of pushing her out …. Her mother did … So it’s her mother right to do as she pleases
JQuatta Barker says
I don’t think so …
Shiki Ore says
I did 5 on myself , couldn’t finish bc they hurt too bad
Krystal White says
You didnt do them right lol
Shiki Ore says
I’m a braider period . Maybe I just braid & wrap tighter than others
Sharron Lynn says
I’ve gotten them done before and they were tight…sharp, but tight. Depends on how it’s done and who does it.
Ashley Blue says
Different people have a different tolerance for pain but I would never put this in my daughter head if she’s younger than 12
Kevvian Roach says
Ummmm confused. .. how is this abuse?
Looks a lil tight but… idk
Princess Elvin-Lewis says
Agreed
Takeriah Edwards says
Umm little kids get box braids all the time, what makes this any different?
Kia Wright says
That’s what I’m saying
Drina Phil says
But she’s a little too young for them… They may be too heavy for her head and the scalp is not mature enough. Any type of extensions
Tamyla Thomas says
No tighter then French braids
Nyala Nan says
This is way too tight.. But I don’t see it as deserving to be called child abuse though, more like poor judgement..
Gail Oliver says
hope she has a hairline at 16…
Tonya Thomas says
She’s way to young
Shawanna Turner-Waters says
Actually it’s is not like box braids or French braids because you have to do a regular (box) braid then add the other hair around so it’s like two braids on one. This is way to tight for this baby hair and it looks like she’s been crying from the pain. The words were very harsh tho. Also if she has never had any extension braids before this, faux locs most definitely has her in pain.
Ash Albury says
They’re really heavy…
Daima Anderson says
Faux locks are braided first then hair wrapped tightly around braids. It is really tight and hurts, had done couldn’t lay down or sleep for 3 days and it hurts during the wrapping process.
LaShunda Campbell says
I had them before and they’re not tight because my stylist does them a certain way that it makes it not tight , but I believe that it doesn’t matter what we have to say because people will do what they want to do with their child or children hair. We can post whatever we want but they’re still going to do what they want
Kessoon Anderson Victor says
It looks too tight mom don’t put that stuff in your baby’s hair.
Courtney Corbett says
This her baby head! Its plenty females that don’t even comb they baby head! It look tight but it will loosen up and she looks pretty
Tamyla Thomas says
Has anyone stopped to think it’s kids with actually locs at her age is that abuse too?
Azsha Monique says
Way too the tight. I starting doing my own and took it down the next day, very painful. Child abuse??? I don’t think so but I do think it’s not a very wise decision.
Azalea Sweets says
I’m just glad she’s doing her child’s hair. There is ways you can put them in were they ate not tight. Some of y’all have your kids running around with mops on their head.
Brandi Lyle says
Right I thought they were cute
Andrea Trinity says
But our parents burning us with those pressing combs off the stove wasn’t abuse? Ppl look for any reason to destroy and separate black families
Trish Be Pretendin says
First the baby eyes are red from crying second I have this hair style now and I’m going to be 20 you get a box braid first then they tightly go under your braid to your root tightly rap down basically I’m grown and I cried trying to sleep the first day
Sierra Holloman says
Her intentions were good but some styles shouldn’t be on a child. Just twist her hair and call it a day
Chada Riley says
Right doesn’t look like this little angel is lacking in the hair department ijs
Bethany Plummer says
Way too much sitting and weight on her head too.. Like she’s a child not an adult.
Darlin Nickie says
Ignorance is bliss! The hair platted first then the other hair is just simply twisted over it.
Faith Bound says
Amen girl!
Faith Bound says
Darlin, if you look closely at the child’s hair you can tell she already has a fine texture to it. That’s too much tension for that type of hair. It may end up doing more damage than it will good. Ijs tho.
Nikki Franklin says
Everybody HAVE SEVERAL SEATS. All of your assumptions are ridiculous! You assumed the girl sat for several hours when it could have been done in stages. You assume that the mother did the style to grow her hair, it’s just a hairstyle like any other, try something different. You assume that the girls texture is fine from looking at this pic (all edges are fine since that is all you can really judge)? How do you know the rest of her hair isn’t thick? Please don’t ever sit on a jury. Your judgement skills are poor.
Elle Daps says
Uhm Nikki, you made great points.. That doesn’t change the fact that she is young. I have worked in a hair and beauty shop for years and have watched as professional stylists do hair… And though I don’t have a problem with little girls getting their hair done, seldom is it done right for their age. Faux locks are almost always heavy because it is like braiding/styling the hair twice (the braid underneath plus the extension), regardless of whether or not extra hair is added for the braid… Now assuming she is as young as she looks, her scalp is still developing, along with other parts that are vital to hair development such as the hair shaft and follicle. This can be extremely damaging if not done properly… Not to mention depending on the weight it can actually cause her neck issues… I don’t have an issue with this hair style, but I have an issue with the fact that it may have been installed incorrectly = more for the vanity than the health… So please be respectful when you address people because clearly none of us know first hand but we have opinions, and we are giving them *sits up from my seat *
Faith this may be very true!
Darlin that is true, but depending on who does the hair it can be twisted over tightly, this requiring more hair, thus making it heavy.
Jennifer Price says
People need somethin to do
Dakota Gilmore says
That’s not child abuse. They make any and every little thing child abuse these days..
Lonique Renee Brooklyn Ryan says
Maybe not abuse and she taught it would’ve looked cute, she didn’t mean no harm, I wouldn’t say child abuse
Alicia Crayton Fields says
Looks a little tight, but I don’t see how this is abuse. It’s cute, neat and looks good on her.
Krys Monroe says
That ain’t child abuse!!!
Koated Karmel Kizzez says
Ears Pierced, braids, heels, and outfits. If this is child abuse, then ppl been abusing they kids for a long time. I was getting my hair braided as a child, looking like I was Asian, and let’s not forget the pressing comb. Hey, at least her hair is combed!
Alicia Crayton Fields says
Exactly.
Debby Akhimie says
Well said… Thank you.
Laughette Miller says
Whether a person agrees or disagrees with extensions in a child’s head …you my dear have a very valid point
Asia Carter says
OK! I still flinch when I get my hair straightened.
Dominique Brown says
Don’t forget about getting popped with the regular comb because you moved while they combed it
Pamela Smith says
I shudder every time I see a hot comb but I doubt if anyone would have the balls to tell our parents that using a hot comb was child abuse. Truthfully, if people would stay in their own homes, mind their own business and try to resist from speaking out about EVERYTHING that they think is wrong or scratches their ass the wrong way, folks would be so much better off. There is really nothing wrong with little princess’s hair style. Some foolish numb nut with too much time on their hands, decided that it was abusive to do this to a little girl and now everyone is in a tizzy. Every mother with an ounce of sense will do whatever they need to do to get their daughters head done. Braids, cornrows, whatever. Get the job done. With all the crap going on in this world, faux locks is someone’s biggest priority??? Geesh!!!
Faith Bound says
Yeah, me too…
But truthfully I wish my mom had never ever gotten my hair braided. The first time I got them, my mom kept them in for 6 months and by the time she took them out my hair was so matted inside she had to cut them out. In retrospect, I see why mom grandmom went through the extent that she did pressing my hair and such. My hair was in the best health with my Grammy than it was with my mom, which was why my hair was shoulder length before getting the braids. It was too much for my mom to tackle on a daily basis because my hair is super thick.
Ashley Blue says
Why do people think adding fake hair is the same as combing a child’s head. It’s not the same.
Shana Chambers says
Extensions on a growing developing child’s scalp are unhealthy.
Meagan Williams-Williams says
I don’t think it’s child abuse but I think they are too tight for this baby’s head. I don’t like any type of extensions on young children.
Tyesha Summermom Matthews says
I saw that
Markisha Tingle says
I wore singles as a kid and still have long hair and a hairline and I’ve never permed it! But as I say if you didnt go through labor with the child mind yours unless there is danger involved
Marjorie Etienne says
I agree and her hair looks thin.
Kamela M Oxner says
That much strain on anybodies hair will eventually led to major breakage. Its simply too tight.
Ametra May says
As an individual who often gets extensions in my hair I can say from experience just because it looks tight doesn’t mean it is tight. I’ve also had very positive results with hair growth due to the extensions.
Ashley Blue says
It’s too much for her to handle as a baby
Alexis Carolyn Robinson says
My kids have extensions. I have three girls and it makes there hair last longer. Instead of getting there hair done weekly it last a Month or two
Samantha Edith McCone says
Child abuse is not doing your child’s hair!!!!
Tanganyika S Tolliver says
No, that is not child abuse. That is child neglect.
Sharron Lynn says
Not doing a child’s hair is not child abuse nor child neglect. Not washing and keeping it moisturized, so that it doesn’t dry out or break, is considered poor hair care, for anyone. I feel that most of us black people feel that “our children” must have their hair braided, ponytailed, or curled. However, it’s ok for other races to not do a thing to their kids’ hair…ijs
Endenezjia Graham says
SMDH this is not considered Child Abuse
Kristine Smith says
How is child abuse kids get box braids and they real hair dreaded whats the problem with this
Mma Edem says
Faux locs is very uncomfortable during the the first couple of days after installing them. Looking at the pictures, the little girl’s faux locs look very tight.
Malynda L Fortenberry says
Ppl have too much time on their hands. Nothing is wrong.
Joy Tovar says
They have nothing else better to do.
Melissa Wisdom says
WHAT???????? SMH… HER HAiR LOOKS REALLY NiCE… SHE’S ADORABLE.
Deidra Shundreka says
They r cute
Tracey Holder says
People are so judgemental. Mom can’t win if she does her hair or she doesn’t
Kenyetta Louis says
What’s the difference between faux locs and real ones? To each is own!
Shanette Holloway says
This isn’t child abuse
Tenya Ayers says
I would rather see a child with faux locs than a nappy ass head now thats child abuse
Lech'e Americanproud Richard says
I wonder did all of you say that when people said Beyonce should comb her child’s head?
Tenya Ayers says
That’s differ blu was rocking the natural
Lech'e Americanproud Richard says
No she wasn’t half the time she looked a mess, like she just got of the bed! But I’m sure its OK for beyonces kid right? Everyone else is a nappy headed mess!!!shame
Tenya Ayers says
Yeah I guess so………….
Sheika MsHollywood Jones says
6 months -a year down the line she’ll be balding. I’m a children’s hair stylist and THIS is a damn shame
Tenya Ayers says
Ain’t nothing wrong with natural hair it’s a difference tho between a nappy head that looks unkept and natural styling that looks healthy
Latoya says
Ok I see you clarified the comment. my bad
Sheika MsHollywood Jones says
There’s plenty of styles that can be done that are more age appropriate. I hear adults talking about how this particular hair style is extremely painful and a man said the same thing.
Dana Wilson says
There nothing wrong with a child having natural hair styles or a fro long as it combed groomed kept up.
Latoya says
Excuse yall sisters but my hair is nappy and I wear it in many styles
Mohayau Lyles says
It’s not that serious, it’s the same as getting braids and we’ve all had braids with weave in our hair as a child. If she would’ve stop at the braids and posted the picture, no one would’ve complained. It’s cute and neat. People take things so far beyond context nowadys it’s ridiculous!
Chevy Red says
I’ve never had braids with weave as a child.
Mohayau Lyles says
Well I did.
Chanel Lauren Price says
And that whole myth about kids that wear braids and twist not having edges is false. I always had braids and I’ve always had edges.
Aliyah says
Um I never got braid extensions as a little kid . I didn’t get braid extensions untill I was a teen and I only got a twice and hated it. My mom had my real hair in braids with bows and barretes. Most black girls have real braids and twists with bows beads and barretes.
Tk Tatum Richey says
I didn’t get weave in my hair until I was 14 maybe because my hair was down my back NO SHADE my parents didn’t play that weave ish and neither do I
Poterressia Barnes says
My daughter has long, thick hair and I get it braided with weave often! It doesn’t damage her hair, and the style lasts longer when you add weave to it! It is a time saver for busy moms! I don’t knock anyone for what they do to their OWN child’s hair!
Michele Babcock says
Lol lol
April Simms says
I think it’s greater things to worry about other than this,I think it’s simply(cute)it’s done and she looks like a little girl, wow really if the child hair was a mess you would have something to say Jesus get a life like really!
Dee Dee Young says
It’s her child. She can fix her hair anyway she wants.
Mary Allen says
The child hair looks nice and yes it’s a little tight but it doesn’t make any difference when a parent is doing real dread locks in their kids head
Tequarra Holligan says
To much WEAVE!!
Tequarra Holligan says
Bitch get a life! && bite me.
Sharron Lynn says
I think when you said “too much weave” you meant for a child…that’s evident! I agree. Do I wear weave? Yes, Would I put it in my daughter’s hair at a young age as such? No. Do I wear make-up? Yes. Would I put it on my daughter’s face? No. I think kids should be kids and we as parents need to be more creative in expressing our children’s natural beauty, until they are old enough to make decisions on exploring otherwise!
Tequarra Holligan says
Right! I meant for a little girl, that’s to much weave. Her scalp is red I’m sure because its to tight.
Sharron Lynn says
It also saddens me how ppl assume that “long hair” doesn’t exist in the black culture. The ignorance…I am a black woman, with black family members with hair down their backs. So when we wear weave, honey, we are still a reflection of our culture!
Debby Akhimie says
How is this child abuse? Over here in Africa we do something similar with yarns as protective hairstyles for kids. What’s wrong with this? This Americans you have major ish!! Smh.
Marcia Johnson-Pruitt says
Well I guess we all were abused getting the pony tails so tight you looked asian back in the day
Dia Jean says
Her child her business point blank period
C Stump Combs says
Y ??????? These people dont no our culture…f off. Dummies…
Bailey Appolonia says
It looks tight but not child abuse, if it’s unbearable to the child and she still left them in then that’s different but we will never know…cute non the less
Joy Tovar says
These haters need to just stfu and get a life already. This is NOT child abuse.
Janet Jo Jackson says
Ctfu
Cocoa Beana says
To each it’s own. I guess if it don’t hurt….. Actually Idc. Not my kid. Wouldn’t to it to mine don’t like fake hair in their heads. Plus it looks tight. But it is just a photo. May not be right at all.
Tamika Amos says
People make me understand how this is child abuses!!! Please!!
Orlondo Woodley Cottery says
Because they just typing something
Tequia HeyLove Smith says
Wth…. she Cute with her locs
Meryl Monk says
From personal experience of doing them. Everyone I’ve done them on so far says they are painful and not only do I do these I also do twist and braids and don’t get complaints! So I know this baby head has to be hurting from the simple fact of wrapping the hair and trying to get a smooth look. I wouldn’t scream child abuse but I wouldn’t recommend these for ANY CHILD!
Brittany Love Melton says
I agree. From the looks of the pictures looks like she’s been crying. You know after kids get their hair done they’re super happy. She looks miserable.
Meryl Monk says
Right I don’t care how gentle you try and be with faux locs they’re going to be painful period. The person who did them should’ve told the mom no. Some things are age appropriate and in this case it’s not because of the pain.
Rina Bridgers says
At least her damn hair done. Some on yall kids walkin round here lookin like don king let people raise their own kids nobodys two cents is needed or wanted
Debby Akhimie says
Always about the race..smh
Kina DoinMe Scurlock says
Mayb its abuse because its TOO DAMN TIGHT… Look like the poor childs scalp IS about to BLEED!!! IJS
Tonya D Ruffin says
Too Tight!
Tiffany Shouse says
Clearly the little girl is unhappy! Damn let her live her young life.
MarKeisha Reis says
They’re always the ones so quick to shout child abuse.
Michelle Dickey says
It’s not child abuse but I’ve had those in my hair before and the tightness is excruciating where I had to sleep in one position to avoid extra pain. I’m worried that she may be uncomfortable with so much pain and the extreme stress on her growing hair causing breakage or permanent hair loss.
Khembelee X Losttribe says
My daughters school asked me to not put beads in her hair because one of the ( third graders might choke on one ) When her hair is flat ironed, my baby tells me they ask if her hair is real * I DEAL WITH THIS ON A DAILY BASIS *
Denise Washington says
its abuse for getting her child’s hair done? 4real?
Briana Thomas says
I guess box braids child abuse , I guess when you do pig tails and they look tight it’s child abuse, I guess corn rows in those cute designs child abuse. Omg if the child not in tears over this then stfu
Lisa Roach says
They are too tight not abuse but try another style and stop posting all your business on Facebook
Holly Makeithappen Hall says
How is this business tho.. half of fb post their kids when they think they are cute. It’s not her fault.
Lisa Roach says
Like I said stop posting everything on Facebook everyone don’t post there kids on Facebook . if u don’t want the comments just don’t post and share period!!
Carmell Latte says
It looks very pretty …..as long as she was willing to sit for it who cares. Everybody wants to label everything child abuse anymore so stupid
Sandy Black says
It looks too tight on her head which is the only issue I see but as long as the parent is grooming child mine your business.
People are still putting 500 beads on each of a child’s braids but it’s their choice. Parents use 500 barrettes in their child’s head they have more than a Christmas tree has ornaments so what is the difference!!
Char Mayo says
Her child. Her decision. Your opinions don’t count. All the perfect mothers of the world…I wish someone would tell me what to do with my child’s hair or if they think its appropriate based on “their standards”.
Audreona Moneac Harrell says
i dont see the abuse i got box braids her age so wth
Jacqueline Marie Fore says
When I was young my aunts would braid my hair so tight that my eyes would slant. It was ok then. But let this mom not do her her child’s hair and then it’s neglect. How about people mind their own business
Jessica Tiny Capers says
It amazes me how everyone quick to tell someone what to do in their household smh this world will be a better place if people just mind their business. If this child were walking around with a picky head then you still will be judgmental.
King Maker Marie says
Faux locs definitely do not hurt. I barely feel a thing but still shes too young for weave period.
Delynn Alkebulan Poetry says
They do hurt
Su Reika says
Child abuse??
Naomi Flonnory says
I don’t see anything wrong with them besides being too tight.
Lishaurndra Beasley says
I wouldn’t put them in my daughter’s hair but that is her child. It does look tight and the little girl is not smiling in any of the pictures. Even when my daughter is fussing while getting her hair done, she is very excited and posing afterwards.
Sheryl Creary says
Child abuse?? What the heck ? How ppl go find something n do . Like really. there child out there that are really being abused. My gosh. It looks tight yes but child abuse oh please ..
LaLasha Murphy says
Her hair looks pulled too tight but a side from that it’s cute!
Latoya Slimthick Lockhart says
I didn’t know doing your child’s hair was child abuse….I guess I better stop doing my daughters hair and my sons dreads….but I might get locked up for child neglect….. There’s no winning now ah days
RocksteadyRi Therealest says
It only looks tight because her hair is fine and to achieve the style the hair has to be gripped a certain way which causes it to appear tight looking at the scalp. Its a hairstyle and she looks absolutely beautiful with it so cut the crap tryina accuse her mother of abuse just because she wanted to style her chjilds hair a certain way. Who tf made this “abuse” thing up any way Juliana rancic???
Jasmine Lenoir-Brown says
Child abuse are the parents that relax they’re child’s hair before their hair gets a chance to mature.. I like the style personally it looks a lil tight and child does look a lil pissed but its no worst than those Saturday night ya mom used to press you out or braid you up. Cmon now
Dametrail SweetLady Myers says
If this is abuse, little girls shouldn’t get box braids either. I think it’s cute. This could be the moms first time trying this style. Get over it.
Stephanie Jones says
Child abuse? People please…. Btw, the locs are adorable.
CeCe McFly says
Where is the abuse in this case? Faux locs is the same as box braids or twists, I’ll go as far as to say they look really tight however her hair is done .. Maybe this is over my head but I fail to see the abuse here.
Cheikh Gugu Raquel Molongua says
That ain’t child abuse… It’s just ignorance..
Jada Muah says
Child abuse is when you DONT COMB YOUR CHILDS HAIR! No one yelled child abuse when lil Blu ivy was loooking lil sn orphan child!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 pppppppppppphaaaahaaaa
Cheree Miller says
Child abuse is when these idiot parents post videos on how they’re punishing their kid by shaving off their hair and humiliating them. That BS is child abuse, this is not the same as a mom proudly showing off talented work. Them dumb asses with these punishment videos I don’t get, who they trying to convince? Us or themselves that they are disciplining their kids? Please
Tolindra Marie Collins says
If they were too tight then.
But Honestly child abuse. STFU.
Goldie Munnings says
Truly a crazy mom those braids are to heavy for that child do she look happy
Latasha Frost Kirarei says
It’s too tight but I have seen worse not my choice for a kid but hey they was nicely done
Sheenana Sheena says
I personally won’t put fake locs in my child hair because of the fact it Will be too tight. But I don’t find its child abuse. What I do find is bad is weaving a young child hair.
Sheia Janine says
That’s far from child abuse, her hair is being pulled too tightly but children get braids with added hair all the time. Folks need to research what abuse really is instead of throwing such a serious word around.
Cha LaBranche says
That was her niece and I think ppl like making a uproar about anything
Nicol Robertson says
Nice lookng betta than some weaves I’ve seen
Rictrell Randall says
Love the fact you keep your child hair did and I love how neat and pretty YOUR princess hair is……
Puddin Powell says
Wow… At least the baby hair is comb and she’s not one of those mother’s that send their child to school with their hair not combed and teacher feels sorry and combed the baby hair… To me that’s child abuse… Ijs!
Lorietta Macon-Massie says
Her mother is a dumb a**..really…that baby didn’t need that…look at her hair..its fine.as hell..laziness n ignorance go hand in hand ..my opinion..
Yvonne Lee says
Not child abuse.
Je'ney Hawthorne says
Stupid
Trisha Willis says
Damn If You Do
Damn If You Don’t
Chautara Franklin says
????
Tasha Phiffer says
Mfks always got sumn to say n there kids head prolly ain’t never did. This is beautiful braides r OK but I’m so against the tracks b n put in kids head. Who Eva did this rocks and this baby is beautiful n look like she’s well taken care of
Tilly Alwayz Pretti says
I don’t have a problem with the faux locks . It’s just too tight for her scalp which can cause damage we have to be carefully
Kathleen Robinson-Hamm says
How is this abuse?
Sarah Byrd says
How is a hair style child abuse… It’s cute… Like a little tight tho
Sarah Byrd says
Did I mention she did a really good job…
L Danielle Jackson says
This is considered child abuse because…???
Lois Sims says
How is this any different from braid s with them damn 10,000 beads on it.
Lorietta Macon-Massie says
So now she gotta walk around like all these grown women with their hair starting in the middle of their head looking like the damn predator. cuz no edges…Sad..
Lorietta Macon-Massie says
Not Child Abuse just not a good decision..
Laughette Miller says
I’ll say this…a lot of us on this post were brought up differently….some of us never had weave in our heads until we were a teenager or dang near grown….like myself….and some of us had weave in our heads as small children….i did not…does that make it child abuse???no…BUT…depending upon how you were brought up…it may or may not be suitable for a small child..like the lil beauty on the pic…BUT I WILL SAY THIS…at the end of the day…that is HER child and as long as her child’s head isn’t nappy…all over her head …or basically unkept….we really don’t have an argument…js….
Lashonda Katrese says
Ain’t nothing wrong with it. Mutha f**kas needa mind their BI.
Keys Material says
This little girl was in tears. You can see the redness in her face..I don’t think it is CHILD ABUSE, but hopefully next time she will reconsider…
Dorcas Burns says
They look painful. Her hair looks to fine to be pulled that tight. The fact that boo boo isn’t smiling for the camera makes me think she’s not to fond of mamas creation either lol
Rhonda Butler-Grier says
Well what about kiddie RELAXERS??! That’s straight up Chemicals sold in a cute box sold in every store you can think of!! And so many little girls hair and scalp gets damage or burned from that now tell me is that child abuse???
Shari McDaniel says
Abuse is a bit strong.

Smh! that is too damn tight and Un comfortable just for show , u don’t give a s**t how the child feel poor baby I feel your pain at least I was able to do something about it take aleve or take it out and I’m a grown woman….
Joyce Jackson says
I think it looks too tight. I was never a fan of weaves nor extensions especially on a little girl. She is a kid as a kid you should be wearing wearing your own hair. That’s what I think!
Tiffany Farmer says
Amen
Poterressia Barnes says
Why should kids be wearing their own hair? Is that a law or something?
Ahmed Mustafa Muhammad says
People wanna tell black people how to raise our childern somebody should’ve told bruce jenners parents how to raise HIM
MrsTrakitha Renia Simmons says
It’s not child abuse….Just my,opinion: But these look mighty tight on her and she just too young for these maybe some twist with her natural hair! #Js
Tasha Reyes-Murray says
Child abuse is extreme….wow! I don’t like this style on children though
Abena Johnson says
The faux locks look cute. The child’s hair is done and it looks neat. What’s the problem?
Evette Olk says
I loved getting my hair braided as a child.
Kierra Rush says
They’re lame. Lol Alexis Allen
Asha Jamia says
They look heavy.
Wendy Jean-Louis says

Shetwokool Km says
Man looking at ur child now a days is “child abuse” smh…..back in the day if u did something wrong the whole block would whoop that ass…..now doing hair is wrong!? #Outragous
Taneesha Thomas says
Nothing wrong with the baby’s hair or the mother…she obviously takes very good care of her daughter this is stupid & beyond dumb…all these momas slapping caustic chemicals in their daughter’s hair are probably the main ones talking shit…anybody accusing them of child abuse?…that shit actually burns scalps…Stop perming ur kids hair teach them to love their natural texture ol brainwashed heffas
Elvie Archange-Humphery says
I wonder if she was of another race will it still be child abuse.
Alicia Gordon-Moore says
Child abuse… not even close.
But from the looks of the baby hair and roots, she looks to have a very decent grade of hair that should not be hard to mange daily. So I really don’t see the need for extentions of any kind.
Latibia Taylor says
Tamera L. Connor this cute but too tight
Tamera L. Connor says
Go read my comment
Ken Moseley says
Its beautiful
Jazmine Turman says
um first and for most this is HER child and HER child’s hair and can do what ever she pleases to HER child’s hair.. I guess getting braids is “child abuse” too huh? .. get outta here .. smh.. mind y’all own!
Sophronia Sang says
No child that young needs to have that mess in their hair. Stop being lazy and impatient and comb/take care of the hair that God gave the child.
Sophronia Sang says
Yeah, because you know her all too well. Stop ghettofying your damn children!
Ann Bleue says
how is that ghettofying or being lazy? its just like braids an its a protective style lol
Sophronia Sang says
That kid in the picture is still a baby/toddler. Protective styling is not needed for babies. Take care of your children hair and stop making them into sodeshows. If anything, she’s destroying that child’s hair.
Ayanna Washington says
Oh please
Dee Dee Martin says
Theirs nothing wrong with kids wearing fake hair like braids and this style. Some parents don’t have time to do their child’s hair or some parents don’t know how to manage their child’s hair. So think about that for a sec.
Simone Sang says
There are people really defending this, look at the sides or the childs head, that looks like it hurts not to mention it will pull out her hair.
Kiyona Brown says
I had these years ago and they were painful when I got them until I removed them. They are beautiful but the traction is too painful for a child to withstand.
A Lexi Carothers says
They are so cute on her. Its easier for the school week as well. Lashay Houston look at these Natalie Harrison
Ebony Poochie Lastonestanding says
Looks real tight and maybe a bit heavy for a child
Natosha Wright says

A Lexi Carothers says
I’m just saying lol we all have ppl can say and do the most for the media
Audrey Grady-Thompson says
Too tight. Poor baby…
Becki Marshall says
I think “abuse” is a bit extreme. CPS is already overwhelmed & has more severe cases they should be focusing on. At least the child’s hair is done & looks presentable! However, I agree it looks a little too tight & maybe mom went a bit too far (maybe some twists or natural braids are enough?) but I’m not judging. S**t people, find something to do.
Shannon Misanthrope Means says
Installed?
Tamera L. Connor says
I see it like this, it’s her child and her choice to do her hair anyway she wants 2 without people callings it abuse. A nice job done but, it is 2 tight for her. If anything all we do is give advice on how she can loosen up on that style next time so it doesnt pull as much. Overall im feeling that style just go easy on the next style.
Tia Conley LaShanay says
Somebody Needs A Job, Too much dam time on their hands. This not child abuse. Every parent is entitled on how they want their childs hair done or groomed.

Hunter Mitchell says
Wtf!
Avril Ebony Brown says
If feel sorry for that child hair line.
Subrena Tarver says
Wow really! Her lil hair is pretty’ long as it’s not to tight, for her scalp! Dang if the mother was the type not to keep her baby hair fix! People will talk about that too! #dam if she do’dam if she don’t! People pleasing I don’t think so.
Kandi Danielle says
definitely not child abuse
Alicia Johnson says
My daughter had this hair style( she’s 27yrs old) and she was in severe pain for days. Hopefully her’s aren’t as tight but she’s very cute
Latoya Hayes says
Same child abuse for during your child hair but you got dirty bitches out here beating there kids upside the head leave them home for days by their self..
Nikki Robinson says
It’s not child abuse, but it is foolishness.
Nina Starr says
It’s not child abuse. But it is too tight on her head. I had those in and had to take headache pills. But that’s her CHILD.
Keishas BlessedEveryday Bradford says
Ima need people to worry about their own kids its nothing wrong with the childs hair..its age appropriate
Judy L Taylor-Williams says
The child abuse is from the person who posted someone else’s child on social media. Don’t play with mines
Adelaide Whitlow says
There’s nothing wrong with this?…. And its definitely NOT child abuse…its a hair style…no different than box braids…maybe a bit too tight for baby girl but honestly I think people just look for somebody to stone everyday…
Nikki Garnett says
I love em fyck erbody
Jasmine Jackson says
Wow it’s just a hairstyle. I used to get braids in the summer all the time and I turned out just fine.
Janaya Edwards says

Reiney Adjoa Asantewaa says
Awular Djormor Dee hav u been abusing Eli babe??? lol
Deidra Ofosu says
Sad thing is the only persons who deals with the reality is the child. Mothers can’t do nothing right. Leave it natural People talk shIt. Put effort into it, people talk shit… What would be perfect
Honey Yams says
It looks painful
Casandra Clemons says
All I got to say is “Toddlers & Tiara’s” they were on there putting fake lashes, teeth, hair (extensions & wigs) spray tans /tanning salons and fake nails on babies. But they want to say this is child abuse.
Daphanie Culton says
Wait why do people care about how this woman does her child’s hair. People are really getting out of hand how does this grown ass woman get “chastised” for doing her baby hair how she wants.
Jennida Browne-Charles says
Really?! Who are these people and where they come from space? Blasted idiots. They need to bash the mother who permed her 2 year hair and the one who put weave in her 4 year old head.
Drina Phil says
But she’s a little too young for them… They may be too heavy for her head and the scalp is not mature enough … Wouldn’t say child abuse maybe the mother didn’t know
Andrea Smith King says
Arimentha Wynn-Smith
Arimentha Wynn-Smith says
I can’t like it. It’s not abuse but I still don’t like it
Katrina Barksdale says
Child abuse?!?
Ciara Baylor says
This article is bullish
Janae Hill says
I don’t think it’s child abuse but they look tight as hell
Tiffany Nicole Roberts says
It’s not child abuse, faux locs , box braids is what little girls is wearing now and days, now if she was the install a a sew in weave , I’ll call it child abuse !!
Artrina Finnel Millege Perkins says
This child abuse?!? That’s a little extreme….I would agree they look a little tight and the baby don’t look too Happy but not abuse..I don’t agree with putting extensions in lil girls hair because their hair is still fragile (baby hair). But folks can do as they want with their kids hair shouldn’t be nobody’s business ijs
Jennifer Arlinsky Watson says
I’m not sure I would qualify this as abuse…but it certainly looks very uncomfortable and tight. I can only imagine what that feels like when trying to sleep. Maybe not appropriate for a child this age?
Tanganyika S Tolliver says
I think the child’s hair looks nice (tight but still nice). People don’t know the true definition of child abuse. GTFOH with that child abuse bs!!!!
Felicia Whitfield Doughty says
If it’s too tight and painful the only benefit you’re getting is damaged hair/ sores/ alopecia etcetera. Some side effects are irreversible. Protect your hair underneath because once you remove the extensions your going to need more extensions because you’ve lost your hair.
Onica Notnice John says
I did that and I could not sleep for days, that was the first and last time,I have no problem with braids this style is very painful poor baby:(
Ellysse Clark says
The only problem I see here is that they look kinda tight. Question: if this was a pic of a little girl with those tight bowrettes with her edges laid would it be labeled as child abuse or would people say she was cute & edges “slayed.”
Alice Caldwell says
Well we had our real hair in clacker balls and they were just as tight!! I looked like I had Botox injections she had me hair so slicked back!
Christina Estrada says
La MonaLisa Williams is this ok?
Tiffany Nicole Roberts says
You know there’s people who have installed fake dreads in their hair and kept it in for a long time so it can blend in with the natural hair, that’s what my cousin did over 10 years ago
Shantel Tweet Ivey says
It’s her child. She can do whatever she wants to her hair.
Ty Butler says
I think the faux look really good, nice neat and her hair is comb, but like everyone it’s my opinion…
Tiffany Nicole Roberts says
I was thinking the same thing
Ashley Martin says
Wouldn’t call it child abuse but is a grown hair style for a kid… I don’t think no one under the age of 16 should have that style but that’s just me
Kem Hill says
Just wrong!!!
Susan Cartwright says
Cute
Susan Cartwright says
Not abuse this is done always in our culture!
Ebony Mcclain-bryant says
What’s wrong with it????
Tracy Reaves says
Just because I don’t care for the style on the child doesn’t mean it’s child abuse. I’d rather see this than a relaxer
Susan Cartwright says
If you don’t understand our culture stay out of it!
Renee Inmyownlane Holt says
Gone with the bs please
Nuri Muhammad says
This is age appropriate, what are they talking about?
Donna Brodie says
I think they are cute. At least she combed the baby’s hair.
Con Amor says
I don’t think it’s child abuse, she GOT HER HAIR DONE. Lol
Yeshi Graesser says
I think they are too tight for this baby’s head.
Lisa Mccoy says
I don’t see nothing wrong with she hair,very nice job 🙂 🙂
MsShaundre RisenShine Ray says
It’s pretty and a protective style. People need to get a life.
Tonia Jefferson says
How is that child abuse. Reaching.
Tawana Williams says
I would think her mother didn’t put them tight and if the baby complains (which all do with any type of braiding) she will soothe and help ease pain. To each is on but my daughter is natural. I want her to embrace natural beauty first and foremost. Too much brainwashing stereotypes on how women especially young girls should dress.
Iris Keller says
You comb a little girls hair that is so thick you can’t get the comb through it everyday before school and see how you feel about faux locs.
Marcelle Y. Davis says
That’s a strong hard statement. Child abuse! !! Some ponytails and cornrowss look tight too, but no mom would be accused of child abuse. I would have deleted all the negative comments. This mom took time to do her little princess hair and I would hope if it hurt too much she would take it down. People need to keep their nastiness to themselves.
Jazzmyn Byrd says
Labeling this as child abuse is absurd smh.
Mekastayfab Steele says
Not child abuse
Nikkie Yearwood says
those things look really tight.
Christy H Ms'Chris says
Ok it looks a lil tight but to call it child abuse may be a bit extreme. Me personally I wouldn’t put weave in my daughter hair period, but thats just me.
Tanya Hasmovedon Betton says
I just think it looks too tight and I don’t think she likes it. But not child abuse to me.
Teresa Johnson says
Omg no
A Sincere Love says
She did a good job. Wonder how much she charge!
Ebony Hall says
Her child it is. Question should ask , Is her daughter in pain? Ouch!!! If so yes take those things out. I just hope her hair doesn’t get pull out. She looks really young like 4 and you can see she still has her baby hair. So to me the faux braids look like they are just to much on her scalp. I’m sure if they do hurt the mom will just take them out. Not so much child abuse maybe just not right choice doing faux braids.
Dawn Jacobs says
She looks cute!
Keya Hogue says
Ppl are annoying. This isn’t child abuse
Sherica Joseph says
A lot a braids may look tight but may not be. I bet her teacher lift up the braids and the little girl probably said it hurts her. It’s going to hurt her if it’s freshly done.
Aliyah says
I think she look so cute . At least she isn’t wearing a straight weave or . Plus these parents can’t talk most of them put long braid extensions and straight weaves in their 5 year old kids hair and DON’T take care of it . Now their kids have no edges and their hair is falling out from lack of moisture and tlc. So they CAN’T TALK . As long as that mother is taking care of her child’s hair even with loc extensions in it’s ok .
Cherylyn Miller-Nelson says
If her hair wasn’t being combed they call that neglect. Folks need to get a gripe, just need to be indifferent
Hope Banks says
I don’t think it’s child abuse but I had these before, the install time is long and they hurt for a while. It took me almost 2 weeks to even put them in a ponytail. Wrong style for a child
Derrica Stewart says
Ppl just want to have a reason to say something. I bet whoever it is they children are not cared for properly.
Priscilla Edwards says
PEOPLE need to mind their damn business
Yarisa Deleon says
Looks fine to me
Maggie Tony says
How is this child abuse?? No different from braids with extensions .,
Monique Smith Collins says
1 that’s not child abuse at all 2 opinions are like ass holes everyone got one…,3 that’s th a woman child…,the little, girl looks clean and healthy so who is it to us to judge. …raise your own Damn kids and stop worrying about others
Kenyata Golden says
Oh wow…no i haven’t seen this … that is crazy.. it looks extremely tight on her daughters hair but i dont agree that its child abuse!
Crystal Heaven Made Johnson says
What position is anyone to tell a mother what to do with her child’s hair? People need to keep their opinions to themselves and get their lives together. These are the end times if this is child abuse. At least she did the child’s hair… Hint hint.
Shawny Wilson says
I think there nice
Keesha Lencrerot says
Black folk get on my nerves. If you don’t comb your child hair the way they want they have something to say… worry bout your own bebe kids
Qweet Justellin Likeitis Davis says
F**k all that there is only 1 person that should know better and that’s her mother that little girl is beautiful without that painful hair style so why make her look grown? Because y’all don’t know no damn better especially the ones that don’t see nothing wrong please people let your little girls be little girls and stop raising these kids to fast and maybe they wwon’t end up pregnant at 16 we gotta do better but yet it’s just a hairstyle why so serious I’m tired of these new generations they’re getting worst and worst and one day my daughter will be a part of a new generation and I’ll be damn my poor baby probably won’t have no friends smh
Ieisha Davis says
I think it’s cute tbh
Alyssa Lovingsomeone Turner says
How tf is this child abuse? Because she have fake hair in her hair like I’m really lost here…… Like stoppppp it frfr
Gemini Love says
But if they were too tight, as light as she is, wouldn’t her head be red or bumped up? I braid my girls hair all the time and not saying I’m happy but I’ve made the mistake of braiding too tight before and instantly they turn red or automatically bump up and I’ve had to take it down. But I’m just curious… The baby looks tired not like she’s hurt in anyway
Patricia Blackbeauty Wallace says
That’s not child abuse please
Angie Thenewme Camp says
Looks good tho!!!
Taylor René says
Um what about all the fake hair, fake lashes, fake tans these mothers put on their toddlers for pageants? No different.
YT Wash says
I wouldn’t choose this style for my 5 year-old daughter, but I wouldn’t call it child abuse. I don’t think its age appropriate and it looks heavy, that’s just my opinion. At the end of the day, it’s not my child or my place to tell the mother how to style her daughter’s hair.
L Troy Coo says
Her scalp is red. Too tight. But not child abuse. I dislike seeing kids with weave in their hair. Whatever happened to berets? That is why you see kids with no edges now. But to each their own. If I don’t like it… I won’t do it to my kid but I won’t judge another parent for it.
Kathy Maragh says
Looks really tight in the front.
Tara Saviet says
Neat, clean and cute!
Larnita Rowe says
Beautiful
Zoe Zane French says
Poor baby that s**t hurts but its not abuse
Candice Frazier says
Do it hurt or something???????
Marianne Addison says
They are not cute, no fake hair is cute on a child. She’s teaching her to hate her own hair. When she gets older she can decide if she wants to wear a weave, get braids or wear a wig. Until then her natural hair is the only way to go
Allison Rucker says
I don’t know what to call it, but people put things in their kids hair, and it’s pulling it out at the front never to grow back, it’s something. Once people learned that the hair never grows back why keep doing it. You see grown women on the street that has this same issue, but I guess as long as people pay for it they get what they want. She is adorable any way they do her hair.
Jershayne Lewis says
Look at how tight they are
Brandi Reed says
Really
Kim Beckford says
A wee bit tight but hardly abuse.
Felicia Allen says
They need to shut down the whole toddlers in tiaras operation then
Daqueen Sademystique says
I wish parents would teach children to love and care for their own hair. When they are older they will make their own decisions as far as how they would like to wear it. There is nothing wrong with adding in hair but teach your children first that their hair is beautiful. I saw a seven year old with no edges last weak… That little girl will probably have a complex for the rest of her life.
Dinae N Hall says
Look like it hurts
Lady Henry says
this just looks painful. You can see the hair pulling at the root. Whyyyyy?! And they look heavy. Her nights are going to be a struggle. If I were mom, I would take it out the same day. Kids that age don’t need extensions. Just braid their hair or twist it…anything but this torture.
Anna Ogonji Smith says
I’d rather those than see a child get their ears pierced!!!
Amita Harden says
Uh her edges will be permanently damaged… This is far worse than ear piercings….this is going to affect her as she gets older
Anna Ogonji Smith says
Ear piercing is forever! Hair can go back, but her edges were left out and if we aren’t there we can’t say how tight they are.
Kelli Mcghee says
Cute.but they do look tight tho
Telia Scott says
Those do look painful
Tk Tatum Richey says
Me personally I think weave in children’s hair whether it be box braids ,Ghana braids it anything else with weave is tacky we try to grow them up too quick with this weave, makeup tight clothes etc its too much
Anjanette Anthony says
I agree that you can do what ya like to ya child but extension of any kind may not be the best option!!!
#nosidesbeforekindergarten
Anna Ogonji Smith says
Why are we so obsessed on what another woman does to her kids hair? As long as she’s not pulling it out or letting it matte up then we shouldn’t care. I personally don’t care she let her kid wear blue and pink braids with bird feathers in them. It might seem ghetto, but it’s not hurting me or the kid! Get over yourselves! From a plain afro to dreads to braids and extensions it’s still their business. As long as the kid isn’t hurt or in danger. Of course no chemicals around really young kids though.
Amita Harden says
She will have no edge line in a month. That’s why people have sonething to say someone has to say it… Maybe the mother doesn’t get it
Anna Ogonji Smith says
Perhaps she’s done that before. If you know her you should tell her that. I’m just saying plenty of girls and women have braids etc and their hair doesn’t fall out. My children don’t get braids with weave or any of that, but I did as a child and my hair is still thick. From one picture we can’t say her hair is going to fall out.
Phoenix McGee says
Well seeing as how that baby’s edges are already going back…abuse? No. Is she doing too much? Yup. Folks be in denial about it and be taking their edges out the whole while.
Maranda BigAmbitions Bright says
I can understand installing this style if the child or mother is interested in starting locs. This style would just give them insight into what to expect.
Nessa Rene'e says
I don’t like weave on children, buts far from child abuse. I know getting my natural hair combed used to hurt like hell every day. I guess my mom was abusing me lol
Rickii Tricia Wynne says
I don’t understand, if it’s my child.. I put in the style.. Its my damn child.. Woman should get chastise for slping with married ass men and getting pregnant, among all the shameful things
Tracy StrivinfaSuccess Stratton says
I wouldn’t call this child abuse….with her being a small child, its just a bad choice in hairstyling I’d say.
Brandy RedVelvet Oliver says
If don’t find it any different that twist, plaits or braids its the summer time a mother will do what’s convenient . It could have been worst like a bond in please get over yourselves .
Nessa Rene'e says
It sucks that she’s too young to take pain relievers though
Nicky Jones says
People can be so stupid who ever said this is child abuse there child’s head is probably nappy as ever right now.
NetaBoo Weird NWonderful says
Thats no different from all the weaves & extensions people be putting in these babies heads all the time. I’ve become numb to seeing a 4year old with a hairdo that’s half her body weight. But it’s not child abuse, just wat those mothers choose to do with their children’s hair.
Dominique Mayfield says
I’m personally not a fan of using fake hair in a child’s head but I wouldn’t call it abuse. The mom has the right to style her child’s hair however she wants. That’s like saying she’s abusing her child because of an outfit. It’s all for looks.
Tywone Bentley says
That’s just dam stupid… Little girls wear dreads.. nappy hair.. latch hooks and all types of weave.. get a grip..
Tywone Bentley says
Nothing wrong with it…
Malycia Ann Sewell says
Its cute
Crystal McCampbell says
Yeah, but she will be sans edges before high school if they keep pulling her hair like that. It’s cute, but hard on the hairline
Nicolette DiCaprio says
We all know this isn’t a case of child abuse because if her hair was in a big ol’ nappy fro then ppl would have a problem with that as well. Having extensions hurts and the poor child’s scalp is probably sore but different strokes for different folks. Her hair is done and the child looks well.period.
M Shari Peters says
I cried just getting my hair combed as a child so Ofc she wouldn’t have been crying. People need to stay of other’s business although I don’t agree with braid for young kids
Deanna Lindsay says
It might hurt if she get it combed or brushed into a ponytail. Some people just need to feel relevant so I guess this is their way. Smh
Nakelah Williiams says
What’s wrong with it?
Brandy Craig-Robinson says
I don’t see the problem except for the fact that they look so tight and her scalp looks a little red mommy did a great job
…just watch those edges…I used 2 get braids all the time as a kid and I’m fine…people need 2 get over themselves
Deanna Lindsay says
And btw it’s her child so she can do what she wants to her child’s hair. It’s not about what people think is suitable for a small child.
Jaira Latimer Tate says
This is the most unnecessary article I have ever read. Her hair was cute not to grown and well kept. Kids who hair is all over is called lazy parenting. But to take the time like this is caring about your child’s appearance. Those things take time and patience, if you ask me. Good parenting!
-Desiree La'Tashaa says
Right ,
I’m trying to figure out what’s the difference between her having box braids or her mother actually dreading her hair & this . . .
It’s all the same if you ask me . I think it’s cute . She not walking around looking like a rugrat
Jaira Latimer Tate says
I add in my girls hair a lot and with beads. So I thought they were over privileged but really they’re abused I get it. Lol petty ass people.
-Desiree La'Tashaa says
Lmao. My mama & auntie kept our hair in braids with fake hair & beads . And yes it hurt us . But abuse nah . That’s taking it a little far .
Lau Ren says
Beautiful! I love this style…
Adilma Spalding says
How is this child abuse? We have plenth of folks that don’t even take a comb to their children’s hair.
Shay Non Credas Davis says
If they were too tight her scalp would b red… No sign of that… I think they r cute they aren’t to long …. This is wayyyy better then stuff other people do with their children.. I see nothing wrong with this
Ms'a West says
How it’s no different then braids
Alexis Patrick says
So people r upset b/c she comb her child hair I’m confused Tara Saviet
Nicole Hudson Wingard says
It looks really tight
Antoinette Smith-Alexander says
I braided both of my daughters hair, my sons hair, my baby sister’s hair and many others hair, when they were children. They all have a head full of hair today, as adults. If I could, I would post the pictures. Funny, no one every said anything disagreeable about me combing MY CHILDREN’S hair. Everyone always thought their hair was beautiful. You can’t win with people. Your damned if you do, your damned if you don’t. Just keep moving forward…
Kelly Pruitt Perry says
Children don’t need fake anything. ..duh
Danneil Abraham says
Mek them gweh
Shanique Abraham says
Lol abuse!
Nikki Robbi says
It hurt getting my hair done as a kid. I wouldn’t yell child abuse just because a hairstyle is too tight.
Savon Lynise says
Dang I didn’t think it was that serious…
Jules Julie Julian says
If that’s child abuse then what does that make relaxing a child’s hair? Attempting murder? Pssh. I’ve seen cornrows on children looking way tighter than this. Not that I condone them being tight but to yell child abuse is just too much
Crystal Mims says
Nothing wrong with that babies hair if this is what the mother prefer. She has her reasons for doing her child’s hair this way. Whether we agree or not it’s get choice-at least the babies hair is done….
Shavonne R. Boyd says
That’s not abuse.. Ppl need to stop
Athena BlueGreen says
Someone doesn’t know the real meaning of ” child abuse.”
Bea Real Downing says
Its nice but , looks like the hair is pulling though around her edges
BrownEyegirl Mendez says
What about the young parent’s that pierce both ears on a baby boy? If that child’s wasn’t combed they would talk about that too. Smh
Bless Mcintyre says
Really smh
Aneshia Robinson says
It just looks like it is too tight
Alexsis Adams says
Why does it matter how someone decides to do THEIR child’s hair . Omg you guys criticize for everything. If the child’s hair isn’t done or appears to look like it’s not , there is a problem . If the child wears box braids there’s a problem . If it’s relaxed there’s a problem. It may be to heavy but no of your opinions matters. Idk why this matters anyways to the public because the parent decided what to do with their child’s hair not any of our opinions.
Kimberly Meandmygirls Harris says
If she wants her daughter to have faux locks that’s her business. How is it child abuse? I’m letting my 3 yr old grow dreds is that abuse? People always have some negative to say… SHUT UP AND MIND YOUR BUSINESS
Chanda Danielle Hill says
Faux loccs are soooo desparate looking on anyone.
Janet Garner says
If she didn’t comb her child hair that’s abuse.
Mitquisha Yourworstnightmare Jackson says
They tripping
Bree Nichole Love says
Not “child abuse” but too tight I wouldn’t do it to my daughter. And it could most definitely cause hair loss, but its her kid so who cares. “Shrugs”
Meegan Cochran says
Why??? …is her scaple bleeding, white pus bumps around her hair line?…I don’t see any of those things..some people need to grow up ASAP
Shauna Etanathestrongone Mckenzie says
It looks too damn tight and she too damn young
Camella Rose Jones says
It looks really painful.
Enez Laurendine says

Janet Hale says
By the time she’s 10 she will have no edges…
Ada Williams says
Haters!love company
Tawna Rutledge Williams says
So, let me get this straight…
A woman can’t comb her baby’s hair the way that she wants without ridicule, but these trifling women have have biracial (black) babies and NOT comb their hair AT ALL with no issue?!

YaYa Mac says
They look hella cute
Terri Ruise says
There are a lot of little girls with braids.. Nothing here to talk about..
Nadege Adrasse says
She looks like s**t. No need for all that weight on a little girls hair
Kerri-ann Anderson says
I have had faux lock as an adult and they are heavy, uncomfortable and can damage your hair line. While I think that this mother is definitely misguided, I would not go so far as to call it abuse.
Satrina Nickerson Baynard says
Smh! !! The main one complaining about a protective style in her hair ..probably are the ones beating and punching on their kids(real child abuse ) if you are not taking care this woman child you have no say in what and how she should do her child hair ..
Dwan Milindez says
Smfh
Olivia C Wilson says
They’re pretty!
Katrina Tashay says
Kids tend to cry when they get their hair done, I cried like hell when my mom would do my hair …hell I’m 21 and still shed tears lol I’m just extremely tender-headed … Does that mean I should not get my hair done though? I’ve seen worse things on little girls such as makeup (not for pageant use) crop tops (I don’t agree with for kids) big hoop earrings (to damn grown) and heels and other sorts that sexualize a child in my opinion … As far as this hair style I would not do it on my child as I think she’s to young but to go as far and say its abuse I think that was pushing it …think about it people post videos of little girls in diapers sucking on pacifiers twerking they little diaper booties ….but a woman wants to show her work on her child (who looks like a child)….off and we bash her .
Faith Bound says
I don’t think it’s abuse, I just feel it’s not appropriate at that age. Her hair texture looks like a very fine grade, may cause more harm than good. All that tension can lead to breakage and much more.
Marynell Cross-Rigmaiden says
Wow people need to get them some mfn business fr and stay out of other peoples business that don’t concern them.
Nicole Blackman says
A little much to call it child abuse, but it is ridiculously stupid to put this on a child
Shontae Jennings says
Child abuse is a little extreme. But if she did nothing to her hair she would be a bad mother for that.
Keanica Martin says
folks will say anything frfr
Doris K Mitchell says
No different than extension braids???

I wouldn’t say abuse, but it’s certainly not necessary. I don’t understand why these woman feel the need to put this fake shit in their babies hair anyway smh
Kamela M Oxner says
Why is it necessary to put faux anything in child’s head???
Danny Fenton says

Carla Deggins White says
Child abuse? I’m so confused!!!!!!!!
Ava Tucker says
I think it looks nice… It might be a little tight… I know looks can be deceiving maybe there not… Good job on doing her hair…
Paula Strahan-Gadson says
I don’t see it as abuse, I just see it as a lack of knowledge. I don’t know if she did it to make her morning ritual easier, or if her daughter wanted to have the appearance of longer hair & she obliged. It does appear to be tight & you must admit our young ladies are loosing their edges at an alarming rate due tension. Just pray that the baby’s hair stays healthy & stop sounding so catty. #meowsistahs
Veda Zeigler says
The baby just doesn’t look happy…sometimes a picture can be worth a thousand words…jmt
Teyara Smith says
Those look extremely painful. Smh
Phoebe Cofield says
Wow, and the conditioning starts early in a black girls life. Why must we continue to sabotage their self worth/esteem with this mess. Can’t they just be loved for who they are. And yes, even box braids as well. It may not be child abuse by legal standards, however it is very damaging to their hair growth and emotionally.
Jessica Merchant says
Abuse??
Tasha Ellis says
It looks to tight
Teaira Rooks says
It’s cute but it looks like it hurt…
Catina Michele Barnes says
Cute, just entirely too tight.
AmberMarie Thomas-Fingers says
I don’t think its child abuse I just think parents should pay close attention to how tight you do any hair style on your child’s head. Whether its synthetic, extensions, or natural.
Kholeka Kho Ngcobo says
Bad choice for a child’s hairdo but not child abuse.
Erica Williams says
As long as her hair is combed stop
Demetria Watson says
Not child abuse but it’s pulling that baby hair out its jus a bit too tight
Darnella D Washington says
They are nice but not for children. Unfortunately some people are allergic to the hair that is used. Hopefully this child is not allergic to the hair. Mother if you are reading this please spray her hair with an apple cider vinegar and water mixture and this will strip the synthetic hair of the chemicals that are in it. This will help with any itching.
Neoka Kyle Kyla Armstrong says
No matter wat type of style it is, this is not a sign of child abuse… People just be wanting stuff to talk about!!! There isn’t even a need to explain wat child abuse is, everyone know exactly wat it is nd means nd Yall know dn well this isn’t it!!! Find something else to talk about!!!

Christy Revell says
I think her hair looks beautiful
Tina W says
It’s just a hairstyle. It’s not a permanent disfigurement. Geez! We can’t really tell how tight they are or are not by a picture. I’ve seen litlle girl with small ponytails all over their heads who didn’t look any different.
People hate themselves so much and they direct that hate onto anyone or anything. Especially if it’s something beautiful or something they can’t have. People are sick that way.
Susie McKinsey Kyle says
Really look great
Markisha Tingle says
Is it me or am i the only one who doesn’t consider braiding hair weave
Dee Dee Martin says
How is this child abuse what the heck is wrong with people.
Lorrie Gillette says
How about you stop leaving children in hot cars? Worry about that child abuse!
Tina Waters says
She’s a pretty little thing. Her hair is no different than if she had little ponytails or twists. Actually that’s all those are with synthetic hair around them. Most ppl see a beautiful as a little girl with a pretty new hairstyle that she probably loves and think…how cute. Hateful evil people just see an opportunity to spread their hate and evil.
Still don’t know how y’all can tell how tight this baby’s hair is by a picture. No red scalp, no swelling, no crying, no proof her hair is tight.
Wynde Keys-Craig says
So I guess little girls getting their ears pierced is child abuse too, smh. I didn’t know getting a little girl’s hair done like this is abuse.
JaydensGodsgotme Donson says
Its beautiful. .
Alicemarie Kindle says
That’s too tight on a child’s head
Sonya Warren says
How is this child abuse?
Virginia Jetton says
Get the f**k over it. Its cute and she is 2
Roselaure Ulcena says
She look gorgeous.
Zelekah McClam says
It is way too tight. You can see the redness of her scalp in these pics. I am a hairstylist and I refuse to put any kind of extensions in a small child’s hair. It deters hair growth as their follicles aren’t very strong. I also refuse to do relaxers on young children. Is this child abuse? No. But the mom did make a poor judgement on this hairstyle. All of her edges will be gone as well as bumps around her hairline.
Sherilynn Jady Saphira Hunte says
Omg are people really that stupid.. every black girl knows that if you want your hair to look extremely awesome.. you put grease in your hair or conditioner.. you know to make it look like not one single hair can escape… so it looks tight.. but it’s not and if you look close enough you’ll see that she has grease on her scalp and hair ( tip: look at her forehead) discussion closed!! Move on!
Monica Askew says
So is it child abuse when you let your child run around with wild looking hair or when it’s so bad that they are teased at school and the teacher combs their hair?(remember that story). People need to make up their mind and choose a different battle. Keeping your child’s hair groomed is not abuse, people throw that around too much ijs.
CoCo ButterKisses says
Definitely not child abuse. And the parts are big sooo… it could’ve been worse. And no one knows how tight she did them . The could be looser than they look. People be Over Reacting.
Ashley Baker says
They look really cute….a lil tight but cute
Sammiee Black says
that’s stupid why they say it’s child abuse no it’s not they need to be saying it to those mothers that have their children looking like a grown women.
Layemi Morgan says
I don’t think this is child abuse but it must be a little painful
Lorraine Skerritt says
Where’s the abuse?? Maybe a little tight but abuse?
Goodaz Claudia says
Very beautiful…..suit her well….Make it less tight next time
Jessica Rogers says
First it was the government, now it’s people on Facebook telling people how to raise their children. What happened to this country?
Eve Cornell says

“Child Abuse” is used too loosely and too often, they’re tight but isn’t all black girls / women hair dos start that way so they stay neat and fresh longer, ? People need to mind their own business

Look like it hurt but I wouldn’t say child abuse

Ami Williamson says
My son is biracial and I don’t wanna cut his hair, it’s long and curly. I been thinking about braiding it. Some say go for it, some say he’s to young. He’s 19 months, what yall think? Hes not tender headed at all, I comb his hair every morning and sometimes it’s rough but he’s use to it. Doesn’t cry or anything. But now that I’m reading these comments, I don’t wanna braid it and people look at me like I’m abusing my child.
Ashley Blue says
Ridiculous. This is not for children
Ashley Blue says
It’s sad that most of the women commenting actually approve this hair style for a child….sad but not surprising. That’s why we have so many thot walking around.
Ashia Williams says
Don’t do it.
Naeema Kante says
That’s very painful for that poor baby
Lynette Eberhardt says
Some of these people don’t know child abuse if they see it.
Nykia Watchoosay Smith says
How is that child abuse??? Her scalp probably sore for the tightness lol but i see no abuse
Sharon Wells says
Well someone needs to call on alot of people. Like others have said if it is a crime then my mother needs to go to jail and serve her time.
Pauline Grant says
It looks cute neat and tidy….But…it does look tight and if it is then this can’t be comfortable for this little one…Why not trwist the natural hair instead of putting faux locs on the child….
Asya Nicole Crudup Stokes says
This is exactly why our babies don’t have edges now but if we don’t know better neither will our children
Kimberly Wade says
It doesn’t look all that tight and the child isn’t crying..I feel it is no tighter than the lil ponytails girls wear it will loosen in a week anyway…How did she get that child to sit that long…Its child abuse not combing ur child’s hair on a daily basis if u ak me and having to be subjected to stares and taunting by other children…I see girls that hair look like it hasn’t been combed in weeks or that have braids in to long to where they grow into dreads..smh
Charelle Melodic Lewis says
I feel like 1) they look tight, maybe she could have done them looser for the sake of the child’s scalp 2) they look cute, kind of large for her little head 3) maybe the child wants dreads and this is her way if testing before installing 4) she did a good job
Taylor Bowie says
How is this child abuse? I used to get box braids and crochet braids when I was in preschool.
Charlene Case says
If it was not done standing on top of her head looking a HOT MESS everyone would have something to say but it’s done and they still complain this world is confused SMH.
Fatima Ross says
Leave them babies heads alone smh
Whisheika Chissell says
Are you serious? These folks actually said that? Lol! Lawd. #getalife #ignorancelives
Kimberly Ann says
Not abuse! But obviously look like the child lost a hair line
Fashen Wilson says
Some ppl are just ridiculous. I feel ppl on Social media think they run other people lives.
Chermine Belhomme says
Faux locks hurt
Chermine Belhomme says
And r heavy. To me any types of extentions is too much for kids
Alexandria IrockPinklipz Mcgill says
It all depends on the braided half of the people saying faux locs are heavy use way too much hair you don’t have to use all that mess to do faux locs smh.
Minesha Thomas says
This isn’t child abuse bulls**t… leave it up too America anything become chikd abuse. How t’f could tht ever be abuse. Howevrr the style is indeed very painful n I wouldn’t suggest installing it on a child.

Tiffany Nicole says
People whine over everything

Allyson Carolina says
This is stupid
Morgan Teller says
I don’t think it’s child abuse, I just think she’s too young to have a hair style like that.
Drea Jordan says
Why it’s just like any other form of braiding
Renais Lewis says
Looks lovely
Gloria Smith says
When she look in the mirror 30 to 40 years from now and see a bald head, this is why. Too tight…..
Renarta Murray says

Less she taking care of her children so I ain’t mad at her
Tracey Henry says
Not for children .. Entirely toooooo heavy and tight . A complete no and bad judgement ..
Tracey Henry says
If you have had faux locs then you know how difficult it is the 1st week .. Too all those that see nothing wrong .. You haven’t experienced it ., they are not regular braids
Tanice Grace Nedd-Smith says
What difference does it make whether it’s faux locks, kinky twists or box braids? Kmt please there’s worst things surrounding children that don’t even get picked up on
Latonya Ike Johnson says
Well I like them
Rickiesha Nichols says
Like a coment that was said u can do faux locks in a way it won’t be so heavy…when u install box braids it’s tight or sengalese twist….as a hairbraider and mother u have to keep in my children can’t handle styles like grown-up…ruberbands hurt these kids hair and can pull there hair if done too tight….I don’t knock it as long as it’s comfortable for the child…..Make sure its not painful…..it’s a break from coming hair….But u don’t wanna break there hair out
Girlie Lewis says
She’ll be “EDGELESS EARLY”, it’s pulling the edge out.
Adina Gans says
Really? This mother is being criticized for making sure her child’s hair is done? Just say you don’t like how her mother did her hair, this is not child abuse.
Mimi Ed says

Judy Fountain says
These are not real. I need these. LOL
Lashawn Williams says
I saw a 3yr old with a bonded in bob..now that child abuse..that baby edges don’t stand a chance…

Smf abuse is when the child’s hair does NOT get comb…..
Shelly Allen says
That’s not abuse she’s just getting her hair combed and the style is not bad people so silly
Channle Jones says
No it’s nooo big deal at all. People always giving more grief than need be, but they can give their kids horrible poisoned foods and allow the TV to raise kids or etc as they do, but it’s just braids so they need to cool and s*****ttttt down somewhere

Antoinette Shar'ron Johnson says
Her hair is pretty. What’s the problem?
Cherita Monroe says
Ppl without a life and have nothing better to do. So sad
Channle Jones says
Exactly
Sonia Aberdeen-Connor Williams says
I think it’s what you’re used to seeing and doing. Here in the UK we use extentions in both adults and children (girls) hair. We’re predominantly caribbean and African and it’s was we do. It may look tight but chances are it is not. Her hair looks soft so the braid appears to be strangling her hair (if that make sense). Plus faux locs are 1 of the lightest extention you can have installed. These extentions aren’t too long either. When extentions tend to look like this when newly put in.
Ashley Jean says
That’s ridiculous.
Velli Velli Velz says
I’m sorry but the child does not look in pain, in fact there is hardly an expression on her face. This style is not for my child but I don’t look down on it #confused
NeNe Johnson says
Lol they do look tight tho.
Carmen Martinez says
If anyone wants to. Punish any one, punish the parents that teach they kids on how to be racist. ….

Faith Walkz says
These can come out.Looks neat to me.Doesn’t look like she’s starving or anything. There’s real abuse happening to kids, concentrate on that.
Carolyn Dalton-Hughes says
Too much hair and too heavy for her fine grade of hair
Veronica Meeks says
People are so crazy i see little girls all weaved up. What the problem???
Jasmine Moise says
Child abuse? We should worry about those mothers out there who are not taking the time to even do their child’s hair. So many neglected kids out there and they’re worried about faux locs. Much more to worry about.
Dorothy Arnett says
So what is your child
Christina Deborah Pressley says
How the hell is this child abuse?
Assy Roberts says
Too heavy and tight for little head. Let ur baby grow older to get extension done or keep it natural. Her own choice.
Joygina Brown says
It doesnt matter if its single braids cornrows plaits or dreads ,all of them are tight at first. They loosen up nd then hes fine ,its not gon kill or harm him nd its easier to maintain in the long run.
Cynthia A.Bradley says
This child will be dependent on fake hair the rest of her life .Because she will have bald spots all over her head and no edges .Let little girls learn to love themselves the way they are,
ChriShyra Blackson says
Not child Abuse but I know for a fact they can be painful. Poor baby.
Christen Ellisor-Davis says
What’s the difference between this and giving a young girl box braids?! SMH
Treneka Lenay says
Faux Locs are too heavy for children. Period. I’ve done them, I wear them… They are TOO HEAVY. PERIOD. IF YOU’VE EVER HAD THEM, YOU SHOULD KNOW. That’s too much hair for those tiny heads. They should wear their own hair until they learn to love it and have grown a mature head of hair! Don’t we know enough unnecessarily bald women and children??? Come on…sheesh! Do THEIR hair already! Enough is enough smh
Treneka Lenay says
Some little cornrows? Ok. Maybe some little box braids as a protective style? I can dig it. Faux Locs? No. Grow them some real Locs or not at all. That’s what I think anyway… #blackhairrocks
Angie Davis says
Where I’m from its customary for children to have faux locs in, I definitely don’t know how this becomes an abuse. Smh, I think it’s what persons are accustom to, because it’s out of the ordinary they think of it as abuse
Jackie Taylor says
She beautiful. That’s the world’s problem stop worrying about everybody else clean up around your own front door.
Siobhan Airey says
This world is crazy
Kenyatta Fox says
What???
Chandra Houston says
These people need to take several seats

U can see her scalp is pinched, red and already has the bumps. People who ehobhave never done or had this need not comment. That s**t is to heavy and too tight. I wasn’t even mad until I saw the comments. Now im disappointed at this s**t and mad at some of y’all stupidity
Mhizz TooSweet says
Smh the nerve of some ppl stupessssss
Karrma Anderson says
Personally I think there is nothing wrong with this. I think extension is 20times better than parent who RELAX their kids hair.
Diana Maddox says
Please stop dressing and putting all that heavy set of locs in that beautiful very little girl head, please let very little girls, let them be very little girls.
ShaRhonda Antionette says
#Beautiful…
MiszAna Rodriguez says
Her hair is beautiful! Leave this woman and her baby alone! At least she does her daughter’s hair unlike Beyonce that don’t bother with her daughter’s hair! Smh ppl just always has something to say bout everything!
Angelia M Porter says
They are pretty tight I had some before
Elle Daps says
I wouldn’t call that abuse… It may be a little excessive but this isn’t much different from other styles, I.e braids, twist, yarn…
Tiffani Graham says
Looks nice to me
Dan'Elle Dixon says
But why?
Jerica Lenice says
That’s not child abuse. Children get braided extensions all the time. Good grief

Mel Lovely Ifill says
What’s wrong with it? Looks good to me. People just too damn judgmental
Linda Keenon says
Not child abuse. This child is being groomed.
Sabrina Butler says
That hairstyle looks a hot mess
Akea Kesha Johnson says
It’s her child her hair looks beautiful mfs didn’t say child abuse back when them pressing combs was sending chills down little girls spines people really need to find something better yo do with their time instead of worrying about a child’s hair that’s done! And looks nice if her hair wasn’t done then someone would say child neglect #beatit shut up
Kathy Armstrong says
That’s not abuse, you need to get a damn life
Stella Ngwe Ngam says
I’m a professional Braider/Stylist at #Stella’ Professional African Hair Braiding# and will not do this on a child this young. I’m not even sure the mom used the right extension for her. Kids’s hair should be lighter in weight and easy to wear and these extensions looks heavy. Poor kid!
Cris Cris says
It’s not like she’s an infant or any I. She looks like she’s under 5.
LaTonia Thagard says
What is the difference between this and box braids, twists, or even cornrows!?!? People are getting ridiculous. It’s even lil kids with dreads…..is that abuse too? So now we can’t even do our kids hair without worrying about somebody calling dcf, just ridiculous
Katherine Lamar says
You people criticise everything, no matter if it’s a child or the elderly. But I say get you some damn business.
MsCurlyKat says
The little girl is so cute. It’s not really abuse to do this to a child, but it can shape the future of their hair health. Their hair and scalp are still relatively fragile until they are older and start having hormoonal changes that herald the onset of their teenage years. Braids or cornrows, not done overly tight, are fine for the little ones; most of the added hair is overly heavy on an adult head, it is no different on a child’s head. Let them be kids, until they become teens.
angela says
What’s the difference between faux locs and box braids or any other type of extension? People are assuming that the locs are very tight on her head. Social Media and anonymity is getting out f hand. Child abuse is a strong accusation.
Renay Cornelius says
I work in the medical field as an ct technologist and I have performed ct scans on little girls whose hair was braided with extensions so tight that they suffered with headaches and their scalps were so swollen. Little girls don’t need extensions and grown up hairstyles they are beautiful with their natural hair. I wouldn’t call this child abuse but the little girl looks like she is in a lot of pain.
whatufeeddat says
On another episode of people do way to much. I have a mother who didnt know how to do hair so my options were to always get my hair done by the africans. no one knows this womans situation maybe she cant do hair and wanted a style for her daughter that will last. If this is child abuse then mothers who perm their daughters hair under the age of 18 should also be treated the same because is actually burning ur childs scalp. To the mother dont do tight hair styles and post it on fb cause people basic
Alicia says
I wouldn’t call it abuse but I wouldn’t put fake hair in a little girls hair. Let her hair breathe and grow and, I didn’t wear weave until i was 19. Those locs can be very heavy and pull on her scalp.
Latoya says
To me it looks like its 2 tight in the front. It could also be the fact that the kid has a RiRi 5 head. I’m totally against giving kids fake hair. She coulda gave her some cute braids. Made with her own hair
Erica Renee Williams says
THAT IS NOT CHILD ABUSE THEY NEED TO STOP THAT!
