This is 3.5 year old Na’Eliah with her hair blown out and ends clip after a deep conditioner treatment, protected with heat protector before blow drying and some organoil added before flat ironing.. people always ask me if I would ever relax her hair when she becomes a teenager…. I always say no, no, I don’t see the need to ever relax it…having the right blow dryer and the right flat iron helps, she can have the best of both worlds….just incase this is her 2nd time in two years that she ever got her hair flat ironed. :/ 😉

Jamie Elaine Reed-Anderson says
So pretty!!!
Shan McClendon-Askew says
pretty but she is too young for that….
Chavon Walton says
White girls do it all the time.
Cassandra Hunter says
Pretty, but pictures like this remind me of the constant battle black women have separating ourselves from the idea that straight is beautiful.
Let’s teach our daughters that it’s the other way around.
Chavon Walton says
Straight hair is beautiful and lucky for her she can have both. Just because one is natural doesn’t mean they always have to wear their hair in its natural state. Even white girls straighten their hair for a sleek look.
Nerine Wisdom says
Her mom didn’t think she was too young and that’s all that matters. Its beautiful.
Miriam Correa says
She’s way too young.
Delita Rhymer says
Cassandra Hunter as you can see the little girl is smiling in the photo with her fro. I don’t think she has the idea that straight is beautiful, she has the idea that SHE is beautiful and her hair is versatile.
Shanice Sahel says
THANK YOU! When we say ‘they think straight hair beautiful’ we further confirm that. Just accept your hair diversity and move on. We can straighten our hair so why not?
Cheryl Cherrybomb says
And it could be a one off for a special event like a wedding, as that’s what my mum used to do
Joyce Hellaclassyandsassy Williams says
Ppl run from perms but like the look of a perm.. smh. Cute lil girl
Francheska Realizness says
Wow really pretty!!
Dominique Cromartie says
Pretty! Looks like a Dominican Blowout
Michelle Francina Thomas says
Some of you people are acting like she put a perm in the little girl’s head! Sheesh it’s just a flat iron and maybe it could have been for a special occasion, my mom use to do the same thing; it’s called changing it up sometimes for those special moments. Her hair is still thick healthy and full, calm down… sometimes some people can get really ugly when it comes to hair!!
Jenna Sanford says
I love it both ways! I like the in progress pic too for contrast.
Tabitha Melville says
Love her curls better but this looks cute to.
Kelly White says
I would never straighten my kids hair
Mich Gumbs says
thats your choice as a mom this is mine 🙂
Cruzianna Velazquez says
Wow so cute
Candace Reed says
Her hair seems very healthy which leads me to believe its not straightened often. Its pulled back in a ponytail with a bow. Straight hair is not the devil ladies, lol! Thats the beauty of natural hair….its so diverse!
Loka NoLabel Jackson says
By natural hair, that’s a discrimination in itself bcus for every race, the hair is “Natural” to them so the term “Natural” does not & should not be only associated to African American hair.. Sighs
Nicole James says
Love it

Jocelyn Talley says
It looks so healthy!
Brittney Amera Cruz says
Her hair is beautiful. We are the only ones that has something to say about our hair not matter WHAT we do to it. A flat iron is better then a straightening comb. The little girl is shown of in both styles. Our hair is admired because of ALL the things we can do to it which is a beautiful thing! I’m happy to see she is dressed and presented like alil girl but others just have to have to find something wrong with this picture. We are so judgemental to our own kind for something as simple as our hair. Your hair should not define your blackness! Some natural sistahs will break others spirits down BC of this if natural means demeaning your own race why would others join? I’m natural I don’t say half the things that are said to others who are or aren’t. We are our own demise sometimes.
Maya Woodall says
Nice trim and bow..
Maya Woodall says
How yall know she wasn’t going to be a flower girl in a wedding!? Me personally,I would wait to put hear on her hair but idk there’s nothing wrong with this….obviously her hair is token care of cuz it’s thick ND long THEREFORE her mom obviously doesn’t press it often……

What products do you use and/or manner of styling to get your hair to look so beautiful? My grandchildren are mixed and have extremely tight curls. We have tried some products with luck, but interested in what else is out there.

Mich Gumbs says
Miriam Correa Cassandra Hunter Kelly White This is my daughter it’s sad that most of you jump to conclusion…it was FATHER’S DAY so she got her hair did….to young? To get her hair blow dry and flat iron??? Im sure if she was dress to grown there would be negative comments …..If her hair had a perm…negative comments….if her hair was turning to dreads negative comments… who said she’s not though to be herself and to love how she looks and who she are??? Im her mother and im a hairdresser…..does she looks like anything else but a normal 3,5 year old With her hair well taking care of??? I was though if u don’t have anything nice to say, dont say nothing at all…here a the most important people that loved her hair for starters HERSELF, me and her father G.p. Deej Kilo Hasham….. have a nice day to all 🙂 😉
Jessika Simmons says
Girl, if there is anyone out there that know how to take care of hair it’s you. Period. She looks beautiful as always 🙂 …mad you moved from close to Jenn, I need a hook up man!
Constance Onyinye Serephina says
You do a really good job on your daughter’s hair. Wow! So thick and black! Please, do you mind sharing the regimen you use for her hair? I would really appreciate that. Thanks. Keep doing what you do for your girl 🙂
Akeyla Monae says
So the young white girls with hair to their tail bone are to young for that too? When they get their hair curled are they too young for that too?
Kelly White says
I think it looks nice, I just personally would not straighten my girls hair at that age because their hair is still very delicate. But it looks taken care of so for you it’s fine I guess
Mich Gumbs says
Well Kelly White her hair had a deep conditioner, her ends were cut and I used heat protector before blow drying and using the flat iron 😉 I’m a certified hairdresser so she’s fine 😉
G.p. Deej Kilo Hasham says
Laughing Out Loud at these comments… Ya’ll do know that her hair is not perm/straighten right? No worries though, her hair was approved by Me, Her father 🙂 #LuvMyBabyGirl
Khalila Aventurin says
Tell them there! these retarded people can’t just compliment always some negative s#$% I call this BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Constance Onyinye Serephina says
Tell ’em!
Jaymee Williams says
SMH at the negativity over a little innocentt girrls hairstyle, I say remove this picture G.p. Deej Kilo Hasham, there is a lot of evil and hatred in this world, like the old people does say “Too much bad eyes round the child” some people just cant simply give jack his/her jacket and move on anymore…nevertheless…coming from a natural haired diva who loves her hair straightened and aint nobody could tell me a damn thing about that!!! Her hair is Amazing…keep up the good work maintaining it!!
Tara Lloyd Laurence says
She is adorable! I would like to know what products you use on her hair because her hair looks very healthy! My daughter is 14 and I have to flat iron her hair because I cannot manage her thick hair but the heat leaves her hair very dry!
Rebekah Faye says
Her hair is gorgeous, both ways…love it!!!
Ericaa Almeida says

Mich Gumbs says
Jaymee Williams Khalila Aventurin lmbo, to bad they didn’t look at the picture literally….storyline is that kids don’t need chemicals they can have best of both worlds Tara Lloyd Laurence I use dark and lovely products for kids, bamboo hair treatment, olive oil heat protector and Morocco organ oil hair treatment/oil. I must add this is her second time ever having it done….she normally wears her hair in a ponytail or her own hair braided .Jessika Simmons I can always meet u at Jens place you was always a loyal customers we can work something out
Camella Rose Jones says

LaKita Alexander says

Tierra Sheri says
This looks so pretty and healthy. Keeps up the good work.
Thenesha says
Mmmmmm Who put an age limit to straighten your hair??? I think she looks LOVELY and I disagree with some of you who said she’s too young to get her hair straighten. My daughter is 3.5 years old as all and I am thinking about doing the same thing. I have not done it because I wanted to research about “HEAT an HAIR” and how to protect her hair before doing it. Thank You for posting the instructions on how you straighten her hair.
Rhonda Golston says
Nice ????
