We have featured a variety of ninja buns and the style never ever gets old. I liked this one because it is a funky way to get the front section of your hair in a bun and out of the face and have a party in the back of your head all at the same time. Samirah takes her time with her bun and that is key to getting that 80’s Sheikh look as she calls it.
What you will need:
►A donut bun* – If you prefer a super neat look
►hair pins – so everything stays in place
►rat tail comb* – helps with parting but you can always use your fingers like I do
►A soft bore bristle brush – this keeps your edges neat
►Edge control – to keep the edges in place
►moisturizer – For over all moisture and shine
The first thing you must do before attempting any style is moisturize your hair and if you are moving from one style to the next like in the video then using a creamy moisturizer in lue of a wet one is ideal.
Here is a cool tip, make your conditioners work harder for you especially if it doesnt have any slip in the shower. Use that same conditioner as a moisturizer for dry styles, you might find that it works like a charm. If you prefer not to do that then just purchase a leave in moisturizer to do the job for your style.
After moisturizing your hair, just use a little oil to seal it all in so that you can start styling your hair for your day. Edge control products are great for a sleek bun so pick one that works for you, they work a little bit better than just cold hard gel so check out the video to see how to do this cute style:
