I have never understood the bald head woman look or the almost bald head blonde black woman look. # our hair issues still a major problem with black women. She is a good looking woman but what is her overall personal statement?
Why does hair have to signify who we are? What is it to understand. (I don’t understand the bald look) You seem like a person who has a problem understanding a lot.
Why is it something that you need to understand? It’s a personal choice. My mother had long beautiful black hair. She would always tell me that hair is just hair and never let it define who you are. Im currently natural wearing a box cut. I feel free and liberated – my choice.
Brain wash you self.If u like.Black people do drastic things with their hair because they are not happy with what u are born with.Your personal appearance does define u to some extent until people get to know you.I say these things because I have lived through the black hair issues all my life also.Just be real ladies admit the truth. Most black women are not happy with their natural hair.
All people suffer from hair issues white black; all white people don’t grow long hair. Just like all black people dont have problems with their hair. i love my hair we are taught to think our hair as problematic. I think the point is she is beautiful with or without hair basically she dosent need hair to look good. some of us wont leave the house unless we have hair to our asses, WEAVED UP ALL THE TIME. short hair is liberating.
Not even still speaking about Amber Rose,my conversation has moved on black people in general. Not even talking long, just easily managed. Because unless we go natural our hair is hard maintain any other look u choose. I don’t know any other race of people that are not born to have long, straight hair except of the African persuasion. You are correct we are not happy we our natural hair basically manageability rather than length. Being honest personally it has been manageability for me all of my life .I have problems with it getting wet – we need a do over ,heat-causes breakage + if it gets wet# swimming, sweating etc. U have a problem . Chemical,Bleaches,Coloring ,Braids,Dreds, allll gives us problems unless there is high maintenance .if I am wrong,I apologize, if I am right and several of you have experienced this just admit it.Non of these are our fault # born that way.Blame our creator or other circumstances. It is REAL ! So we use the resources we have to please ourselves and significant others to look our best.HONEST FACTS IN MY VIEW -and I am ok with different point is of view, and no have no further comment because I am not here to argue or spread hate# just looking for a meaningful conversation among intelligent black women.
Choice is yours, but when u are on social media – u leave yourself open forced into comments. If we face reality hair is a major issue for black women. We have made the fake hair industries billions. Is there any other race of people that does this on a major routine basis. There prob.was a specific reasonan your mom made that statement to you.Not our fault,we were left out decent manageable hair per our maker.maybe that is my concern. So many of us are buying fake hair I guess it bothers me as a senior citizen to see people chose to go bald or shaved low like a man.I saw a young teen today with purple braids. What kind of statement is that? I agree we have to do all we can t po look our best.I hope things get better for us in that department.

She is being herself. Exuding confidence not letting the worlds definition of Beauty define “Hair”
Some people are so caught up in hair. Hair does not define a person. And everyone doesn’t like black hair. There is nothing wrong with blond hair.
Yes queen. Im a natural and i have had my hair this length several times and will cut in a heartbeat.
Just like you said, it’s a personal statement. Don’t worry about it! She’s stunning beyond words!
Why does hair have to signify who we are? What is it to understand. (I don’t understand the bald look) You seem like a person who has a problem understanding a lot.
Her personal statement is that she’s fierce. Time for us to stop judging each other n just celebrate each other’s beauty n individuality!
