No one wants to spend the summer with dull, dry, unhealthy hair. It is very likely that you have plans to hit up beaches, swimming pools, amusement parks, maybe do some light traveling and of course you want to look good while doing it.
However, all of this will add wear and tear to your hair, but there is a remedy you can use to keep your strands revived throughout the summer, allowing you to wear your locks proudly.
If you have yet to hear of tea rinses, you will find that there are many different types to choose from. In fact, your favorite tea may be on this list. So let’s get into the four different types of tea rinses you can use and their benefits.
1. Blackberry Leaf Rinse
Those who are worried about deepening their hair color or color enhancement will like the effects that blackberry leaf tea provides. It darkens dark hair and highlights lighter shades of hair.
It also helps to get rid of dandruff, promote shine and cleanse your hair. It can be used on all hair types with no problem. You can either purchase fresh or dried blackberry leaves for this rinse. Just make sure that the herbal tea that you buy is 100% blackberry leaves.
Here’s the recipe:
1 cup of fresh blackberry leaves or 3 tea bags
4 cups water
4-6 fresh blackberries (as an added bonus)
Now, you will need to fill a saucepan with the water, place the leaves inside with the fresh berries, bring it to a boil using medium heat and then allow it to simmer for about 15 minutes.
Next, remove the pan from the heat and let it cool down for about 20 minutes. You’ll need to use a strainer to separate the liquid from the solids. It’s best to place the tea inside of a jar or bowl, so that it’s easy to pour onto your hair. Use it after you shampoo as a final rinse.
