Ouch, don’t kill em! On TBT, Kelly Rowland posted a picture of herself on her Instagram page @kellyrowland where she had long curly hair with a freakish resemblance to Donna Summer. She literally looks like her twin sister, but a younger version. In her post she said:
#tbt #DonnaSummer-ish #LovetoLoveYa
I agree with the blogs that have been loving this style. Even though Kelly looks great in her signature cropped hair styles including pixie cuts, when she does the curly hair thing, she looks just as amazing.
This might be a wig(affiliate link) or sew in, and if you happen to be able to afford a great one, it can look so realistic and make for an awesome protective style. Personally, I like wigs that have bangs – it makes things easier when you want to protect your entire head, and not have to worry about blending.
I also think bangs are perfect for the Fall and Winter seasons when wearing wigs(affiliate link), extensions(affiliate link), or even your own hair. For one, your forehead won’t get as hot as it would during the Summer months; it looks youthful, and it is a really great change, especially if you haven’t worn them in a long time.
If you are tempted to cut your own bangs, but you aren’t sure, we would highly suggest wearing some form of extensions(affiliate link), or wigs(affiliate link) to test out the waters. If you absolutely love it, then go ahead and cut them.
I would cut them in September. That way you get to keep them in the cooler weather, and if you end up growing them out, they will be longer in Summer, so that you can pin them up or away from your forehead.
Either way, we are loving the Donna Summer look; it’s a great idea for Fall and Winter.
