Why can’t she just have beautiful hair. Black people do have beautiful hair. That so unique about us, we have hair of all different variety.
I know black hair comes in all different shades and textures. We are a unique remarkable group of people. That’s why I stated that I hope it’s not a perm or a heat method used to obtain this style. The style is obviously cute but, I just think heat and perms on a child that young is so damaging to the hair. No negativity whatsoever! ?

The hairstyle is age appropriate and beautiful. I would use for daughter’s hair. But, she’s a little older now and I don’t do Kecia Dawn Virgil-Wright hair anymore! But sure can use on granddaughters’ hair. But, those earrings are not age appropriate for this little girl. Small hoops is your best and safe bet.

The earrings might have been just to compliment the look. It’s a look that could be rocked by a 5,15 or 25 year old. When I take pics of a look I sometimes dress it up to appeal to other ages.

Would it kill some people to just say nice hair???! All these extra comments “her earrings are too grown” “why she perm her hair” “all that heat damage” It’s all so unnecessary. I for one have not a hint of perm in my hair but my hair lays like this. And I can achieve this with a simple blow out and edge control. Her earrings aren’t big and obnoxious. Perhaps because the camera is pointed slightly down they may look bigger but whatever the case her style looks too cute. It will be when pigs fly and hell freezes over before I see a hair post that is just all positive “nice hair” comments. Some people have to point out the most irrelevant info or assume there’s a perm or heat damage involved.

What I’m OK with is allowing people to have their own opinion. If it was my daughter I wouldn’t have posted her picture on the internet for her to be subjected to such comments. When you do things like that expect some of the comments to not be so nice because regardless if how nice it looks, someone will find something wrong with it. So it’s always best to not open yourself up for that if you can’t handle the negative feedback. Life is hard enough, folks need to choose their battles wisely because some things just aren’t that important. Just my .02

The earrings are too big for a little girl. Her hair is beautiful. Our kids are going to grow up fast enough without us rushing them. Studs would look much better for a child her age or small hoops. Just my opinion.
