Hello my name is Shantel Bailey and I am Self-Employed. I have been licensed for 3 years and studied at Georgia Career Institute.
I specialize in braids, relaxed hair and natural hair.
What in your opinion is the most rewarding thing about working as a hair stylist?
The most rewarding thing is making my clients feel good about themselves.
When you meet that customer that has not had a great experience with a previous stylist, how do you make them comfortable while in your chair?
To make them comfortable, I would show them that I am not nervous and know what I am doing so they can be sure that I can give them the best results.
If you could change one thing about the cosmetology industry what would that be?
I would not change anything at all.
Where do you see yourself a few years from now, what are your goals as a stylist?
A few years from now I want to own my own hair salon.
How do you stay motivated and on top of your game?
I stay motivated by keeping on pushing myself to be the best at what I do.
