Tashna is growing out damaged relaxed hair but has reached a stage where she is confident with her regimen enough to share her story. We wish her the best of luck with your hair journey!
Are you relaxed, natural, texturized or texlaxed? I am now natural for 2 months after years of consistent relaxing but I am using braid extensions* to fake it until I achieve my desired length.
What’s your story, how did you get to where you are? I have consistently gotten relaxers every 6-9 weeks since I was about 5 years old. My hair is always neck length and has never quite made it to my shoulders. My hair has always been about 5 different lengths and is a dark copper* color and appears very fragile and fine. I have always battled dandruff and alot of itching. I have recently solved this problem by discovering rosemary* and its anti-dandruff tendencies. For the first time in eighth grade I got my hair braided in late May and made it last until august. I think I noticed some growth. When I got my hair rebraided in late August and made it last until december I noticed very significant growth! The longest my hair as ever been. I never got my hair braided again from the years 2009 continuing to mid 2011 but instead just continued getting relaxers. In June of 2011 i got my hair rebraided for the third time since that one period due to some recent breakage I was experiencing around my edges and the back of my hair. I am currently sporting small individuals. I plan to keep them in until late August.
What is your regimen at the moment? My regimen now is just oiling my scalp with the braided hair extensions* once a week with johnson and johnson natural gro hair and scalp treatment. Occasionally I moisturize my braids with organic Root stimulator olive oil* sheen spray. Then every night before I go to bed I put on a stocking to protect my braids .I will continue this regimen until late august.
And your favourite product? My favorite product is Optimum oil therapy by softsheen carson
What’s your signature style? My signature style is a high sporty ponytail
What is the best tip you have learned to protect your ends? I have learned to never comb my ends when they are wet.
Ok do what’s best
