On Instagram this week, Brandy was serving up all kinds of fro love with a plethera of selfies. On one of her pics she said:
My Fro looks better than yours, I can teach you but I’mma have to Charge.
Teach me Brandy, because even though it feels like I have been talking about you a lot, I don’t care because your fro is definitely, ‘epic’ (smile). But don’t be fooled ladies, this even though Brandy is natural, this is actually an afro wig* from the Heat Free Hair Movement.
Brandy is the probably one of the most organic naturalista celebs out there, and by organic I simply mean that she does not jump out of a straight weave right into a another one. While there is nothing wrong with that, it was kind of nice to see her rock a good old fro and she made sure she took enough selfies for us to notice.
She knew she was on picture overload too, judging by her admittance:

Her luscious fro was styled by Tymothe Wallace a self described hair artist who also does makeup and countless other celebrity heads. He gave her fro some shape, by keeping it heavy on the top and tapered towards the nape, which is very cute. Honestly if you are bored of your natural hair, try giving your hair some shape, it will really turn your look up.
Her dream team gave her a very relaxed but classy look for the Queen Latifah show, all white, matching shirt and shorts as you will see in the pictures. Her clothes, fit her hair perfectly, it was fun and flirty and young.
We like that Brandy celebrates natural hairstyles the way that she does we kind of expect nothing less, she is having an awesome time in the media these days, and as such will always be one of our favorite celebrities to feature.

That’s what our natural hair looks like, so I guess our natural hair look terrible???? Or just on celebrities…..because they’re SUPPOSE to wear FAKE hair???? At least if the young lady is going to wear a wig, at least she’s wearing one that’s RESEMBLES OUR hair texture. SMH

It looks like here real hair to me, and of course, Brandy can wear any hairstyle because of the shape of her face.
Doesn’t matter the texture it looks like she just got off the bed after losing her silk bonnet during the night. Natural hair is beautiful and has the capability to look like its being cared for with moisturizer/sheen and styling. This looks matted, dry and unkempt. Im natural and this is one of the many bad examples for “natural hair”.

I’m not a fan, maybe if it were styled differently. Why so much hate? The article asks what we think of it so people are answering the question. I’ve seen natural hair I like and some I didn’t. I don’t have to like it because it resembles my natural texture. Hell, sometimes I don’t like my own.

Very innovative. This is how weaves SHOULD look. Like it could have grown from your scalp. I like it on her. She should consider going natural for real.
