Let’s talk oils(affiliate link) for a minute! There is no doubt that adding essential oils(affiliate link) to your hair care regimen is not only healthy for your hair but essential for maximum results when it comes to crushing your growth goals. Hair growth is a big deal around these parts and we get it so we tend to dedicate a lot of time to discussing it.
We even went as far as working with developers to create a line of oils that can help us all reach our growth goals. The reason we love essential oils(affiliate link) so much is because for one they are naturally derived and are extremely concentrated and powerful derivatives of the plants they are derived from.
They are so strong that they are often added to carrier oils(affiliate link) before being used to treat the scalp. With that said here are the six best essential oils for hair growth four of which you can find in our Elongtress Fancy Oil Mixes.
1. Lavender Essential Oil
If you have a young child your pediatrician will probably recommend that you use the scent of lavender(affiliate link) at bedtime to calm the little ones down before bed. This essential oil has the ability to reduce tension as well as have a calming effect on anyone that comes in contact with it.
Adding this ingredient to our Fancy Oil was a no brainer because the health benefits are phenomenal, the oil nourishes your hair strands, moisturizes your scalp and best of all it prevents hair loss.
As if that wasn’t enough it is a superb antiseptic that can be used to treat dry scalp, bacteria and it improves blood circulation which is aids in hair growth. It does help that is has a calming effect and the loveliest smell a girl could ask for!
Why does the lavender bottle look like fabuloso!?
I thought peppermint was based on a recent study on lab rats.
It was also part of a separate human study along with other essential oils Tracy SSgt Phillips which was also shown to regrow hair.
What about grapeseed oil? Or is that not considered an essential oil?
Grape seed oil is a carrier oil
Ahh OK. So can I not use it alone? Currently I use it on my scalp.
Yes yu can use it alone, carrier means that you use the oil to carry or dilute the essential oil ur using
Thank you, Monica. I’m still learning all these hair terms!
Now I think that you all have answered your own questions.
I had great success using rosemary for hair growth. Once I stop nursing i will be using it again but in moderation this time.
Aloha Peters try some of thid
I have rosemary..what would you mix it with?? Kind of skeptical on using it on my hair. Anyone have any success on using it??
I tried it on my scalp neat & it was not a good idea. Mix it with Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E oil or Almond Oil but it must have a carrier oil. It is a very strong essential oil.
Which one(s) are best to stimulate inactive follicles???
Rosemary but you have to mix it with a carrier oil like Jojoba, Vitamin E, Almond or one of those.
Thank you =} ^^^
What oil is good for alepecia?
Try lavender and rosemary in an excellent carrier oil. Check with your doctor first. Some oils can’t be used by some people. Rosemary for example is not good if you are pregnant or nursing.
When my daughter was at the stage alopecia totalis (completely bald scalp) I used a mix of extra virgin organic olive oil, rosemary oil and lavender oil. The rosemary for stimulation and the lavender for antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. You should see her hair now. Nothing cures alopecia but this blend helped fight the damage topical steroids had on her scalp and now she has a head full of hair after reaching alopecia universalis. Excellent post. Very informative!
