Tyra Banks Fitted One Of Her Top Models With A Lace Front Beard, Yay or Nay?

I know this question sounds ridiculous, but would you date a man with a lace front beard? Let me be the first to say, hec no! If you cant manufacture it, then its probably not for me. Before I allow you all to answer let me tell you how this whole lace front beard thing came about.

You all know that Tyra Banks has now added men to her Top Model television show and there is a guy that was fitted with a lace front beard. The bearded look isn’t new, some of us like a grizzly brotha who may or may not own a razor.

We can probably tolerate when things get slightly out of hand and he looks a bit scruffy before heading to the barber shop. A little hair is sexy, but not when its perfectly placed with glue? Seriously, where do we draw the line?

Tyra referred to the installment as “Top Model’s very first face weave” or a “lace front beard” and the victim otherwise known as the contestant was Denzel, a guy from Houston Texas.

Get this, Denzel actually liked the contraption, but Tyra didn’t, it wasn’t what she envisioned. I mean the thing is literally just sitting on top of his face. Needless to say he will get another face weave installment that would make “his beard” look a bit more realistic.

Wouldn’t a weave on your face feel a bit uncomfortable? Sometimes I think Tyra does these things in an effort to create the next ‘big thing’ regardless of the possible humiliation of the contestant. I don’t know about this one ladies, it is an absolute nay for me, weigh in and let me know what your think about this new ‘trend’.

    It was a make over thing everybody was suppose to have a different look from when they came, but She didn’t like the way it was done either she sent him back to do it over!!

    Half of the beauty practices women engage in are ridiculous when you put it on a man. Lying about your skin tone w/ makeup, lying about your breast size & position with a bra, lying about what is on your head with a weave made to look real. But the item itself should carry all of the bearing on how it is appropriate or not. In short:
    Until all women realize that ALL WEAVES EXHIBIT THE SAME LEVEL OF RIDICULOUSNESS AND FAKENESS nobody’s ever going to just accept their freaking hair (even the women with Natural looking Weaves who just can’t accept having short hair).
    If ALL BLACK PEOPLE wore their hair as it is supposed to be, then NOBODY COULD BE DISCRIMINATORY ABOUT HOW NATURAL HAIR LOOKS because it’d be tantamount to being Discriminatory again a Black person in their Nature. We have the power to force acceptance but when half of us choose discriminatory assimilation the whole cannot succeed in ending it.

    for the people who didn’t watch the show, tyra did say she didn’t like it and sent him for a do over so lets forget about it looking more natural until we see the final result. on the other hand if women can do lace front wings then more power to the beard

    nay to the look, but she did say that’s not the look she wanted him to have so hopefully when they re do it it won’t lo ok so God awful ^^;
    As for the whole concept of a beard weave. ..I mean. . it’s different and I hope my bf never wants one, then again, he can grow a beard something this model said he could not. Dat baby face struggle.

    It was horrific!!! That man is toooo fine for that mess. Tyra did say during the eliminations that it wasn’t what she envisioned so the stylists are going to redo his beard. Thank goodness!!!
