Tia Mowry has a gorgeous little boy, and much like other celebrity children, he has been through his share of critique and his parents do not like it because it has not always been positive.
If I were to be brutally honest on this one, I like to see little boys with a traditional low cut – as a parent, that is just my preference. Is Cree’s hair beautiful? Of course it is. Do I like the top knot style? Not on my son.
Tia Mowry’s followers on social media are pretty split: some are singing praises to Cree’s hair, whilst others are throwing out #shade and ridicule. On one hand I sympathize with Tia, but on the other end of the scale if you can’t take the heat, then get your behind out of the kitchen. Do not put your children on the internet and subject them to ridicule, especially when you as a parent are making the decisions.
After a few days of craziness, Tia finally responded with the following:
I am proud to have a SON that embraces his natural hair :). Hair length does not define your sex. Last I checked a penis and a vagina does. Pick up a book, educate yourself, and embrace cultures outside of your own and maybe you will see that there are PLENTY of MEN wearing top knots and MEN with long hair. Here’s a shout out to all the moms who have boys and girls with natural hair! Live ON!”
I understand Tia’s frustration; nobody likes to see their baby subject to ridicule. I don’t think the issue is about him having natural hair, but rather how it is styled. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when it comes to children, I have the same response – leave them alone. Moreover, I have an even stronger feeling: don’t put your children out there to be judged.

I didn’t cut my sons hair until he was 3 so if it wasn’t plaited sometimes it was in a top knot, in a bun or left out .
