Shiny Twist Out On 4c Natural Hair

Oh girl, you did that! Who says you cant have the shiniest twist out on the planet? It pays to know what makes your hair tick, because no matter how much product you purchase if you do not know what your hair responds to, you will not be able to get the most out of your locks. The key to a great twist out is the set.

In the video we are about to share Yonkelsintrinsi, ensures that she moisturizes and seals her hair before stretching it out. If you plan to use heat on your hair, ensure that your moisture levels are up. This means choosing a quality product with the first ingredient on the list being water, and sealing your hair with a single oil or your oil mix carefully created to suit your hair.

When you stretch your hair you do not have to use heat, but using heat really ensures a great stretch and if you do it right you do not have to damage your hair. A great stretch gives you an elongated twist out and allows the hair to assume the texture of the twist instead of your own natural texture.

When you set your hair for the twist out set it in the direction that you want it to fall once all the twists are out, so if your left side is your good side then twist your hair with that in mind.

Finally when you plan to release your twists put a little oil on your fingers to ensure that you do not create too much frizz, because truth be told, a little frizz isn’t too bad, we embrace frizz around these parts.

We would suggest practicing your twist out so that you can perfect it, its always good to have a signature style you can fall back on when you draw a blank on other styles.

Check out this shiny gorgeous twist out below:

At least yours is thick. I have fine, low density 4C. Flat twists and two strands look bad in my hair.

Ladies, try As I Am Double Butter Creme (or buttercream?). I have dull, dry 4C hair and can always get a shiny Twistout with that.

I love As I Am product line. A bit expensive, but works very well on my 4c natural hair. Leaves it soft, shiny, and manageable. I can go 2- 3 days before having to retwist my hair!!

For a long time I said not buying that Double Butter too high so one day I said let me try the small ounce my twist came out poping with definition and a firmness but still with a soft touch I’m hooked now, COST NO MATTER.
