5 Naturalistas You Should Subscribe To On YouTube

YouTube can be a wealth of information for a woman thinking about going natural, a newly natural or even a natural veteran. There must be thousands of videos on hair, makeup and Naturalistas giving their views on natural hair along with tips or techniques to do everything to your hair humanly possible. If you don’t know where to look it can be quite overwhelming and a little confusing.

I’m not going to lie…I hated YouTube at first. Well, maybe not hated but didn’t like watching videos. Back when I went natural quite a few years ago the videos weren’t as dazzling with editing programs and pretty music like they are now.

There also was a lot of rambling and my impatient self would get antsy until I just gave up on it all together. I also hate long videos and some are almost 30 minutes to an hour and I just don’t have that kind of time!

Fast forward to the present and we are seeing a lot more professionally done videos that are short, sweet and to the point. My kind of video is where the YouTuber is taking this seriously and she edits and allows us to only see just the important parts and I love it now.

Although I STILL don’t like long videos but have upped my subbing from about two or three to thirty-four (you read that right) within a few months when I finally decided to check it out again.

I have a few that I check out regularly and always seem to love their videos and I’m not going to lie…they are the ones who use the editing programs, have great music and give all pertinent information within a few minutes. They also have pretty pictures and do tricks with the camera that you see on TV that hold my interest. Yes, I’m easily bored so this is perfect for me.

So here are my favorite 5 Naturalist’s in no particular order. It was hard to just pick 5 but I’m sure if you don’t already subscribe to them, by the end of this post you will!

About Sabrina Perkins

Hello all, I'm Sabrina. I'm a freelance writer and a full-time blogger at my site, http://www.seriouslynatural.org/ where the focus is on Natural hair, beauty and style. I became natural 8 years ago at the tender age of 35 and love sharing my ups and downs as I master this thing called natural hair. Married, with two kids (one being a natural herself) gives me a different perspective on our hair and why I love being natural. I want healthy hair, long hair and sexy hair! I'm an older natural---that's right---I'm grown and sexy, and I have much to share. I love fashion too and recently opened a clothing shop for beautiful black women at www.seriouslynatural.spreadshirt.com

The author is stating the naturalistas that she enjoys watching and is merrly making suggestions. Some curl friends seem to be taking the authors suggestions more on a personal level. We all have journeys to share!

I love CharyJay because I like her twist outs and DIG her style! But I’ll look into these naturalistas as well!

Naptural85. There’s a reason why she has over 400,000 subscribers.

I’ve watched #1 and #5 before but I would much rather watch Naptural85 simply because I think knowing why and how about products and techniques helps tremendously whether you are starting or continuing your natural journey. If I wanted editing, great music, pretty pix and camera tricks I’d type in Beyoncé, but to each his own.

  9. Dani Millz

Whitney of Naptural 85 & My Natural Sistas give me so much life! Been a subscriber even before all the editing & my hair journey wouldn’t have been the same without them :’)
