It’s the holidays, and since I am snowed in and on the brink of cabin fever I have had some time to ponder the things of the world, and write a Christmas list.
I know writing a Christmas list is for the children and Santa will not expect me to be a good girl, but there is ice outside and it’s fun and quite self-righteous to say the least, but I digress.
You see, my husband has a naturalista in his life, and he will need a little help as he navigates his way throughout this gift giving season; and being the loving wife that I am, I wanted to make sure there is no confusion or frustration.
There is nothing wrong with making sure a person is emotionally stable at Christmas, so it is only right that he receives a little guidance. 😉
With that said, every year a variety of media platforms look forward to making gift giving suggestions for the people that you care for the most, and some of them are even geared towards natural hair.
We would love to join the fun. So in the spirit of gift giving season and naturals everywhere,we have 10 great gift ideas for that naturalista in your life. If you are a boyfriend, husband, mom, dad, brother, sister, BFF, frenemy, or a secret Santa coworker, listen up. This one is for you!
1. DIY Emergency Natural Hair Kit – These emergency hair kits are available for purchase; but wouldn’t it be awesome to make one for her with everything she is always complaining about losing? This gift will include a caboodle, remember those? They come in a variety of colors and are usually empty with various compartments.
All you have to do is get some of the cheap essentials: bobby pins, Goody bands, Ouidad detangler comb, a satin bonnet, a spray bottle, a bottle of her favorite leave in conditioner and a cute note card that lists everything in it, titled Emergency Hair Kit. Wrap that up, put a huge bow on it and wait for that smile from ear to ear.
2. Curlformers – Don’t get the fake ones if you are trying to make an impression now! Curlformers* are the one thing you want but you always put back on the shelf because you feel that there could be something else you could spend ‘that much money’ on.
That’s what makes this a perfect Christmas gift. She won’t ever get it herself but she will use it every other week and thank you for them in July.
Curlformers are great for keeping your natural hair stretched and stylish week to week. They are the ultimate ‘out style’ but protective in the sense that you do not have to mess with your hair once the set is done. With that said, Curlformers* are huge on our list.
Only 2
I already have a couple of these but I would love some of the others. I’ve asked my brother for Curlformers for Christmas… so roll on Christmas day!!!
Hair Steamer and kinky curly knot today and another hair wrap Santa Please!!!!
AWESOME! Especially the DIY Emergency Kit. I’ve done the CurlBox subscription for my aunt last year.
