2. Seamless Combs – Low manipulation is the key to retaining length, we all know this. I have heard it a million times, but I simply cannot give up my combs! Finger detangling is just not for me.
Unfortunately, I have learned the hard way that the wrong comb can really destroy your precious strands. The breakage and splits ends caused by combs alone can be such a nightmare.
The good news is it doesn’t have to be. Seamless wide tooth combs are great detanglers that still save your strands from ending up on the bathroom sink. Seamless combs* have been touted as miracle detanglers that will significantly reduce breakage. Who doesn’t want that under their tree?
3. Steam hair rollers – Direct heat and healthy hair don’t mix. In fact one of the first tips I ever got when starting my hair journey was to try little to no direct heat.
This meant no flat irons* or curling irons*. I won’t lie and pretend like I completely swore them off, but I have definitely come a long way from my daily usage.
Steam rollers are a great alternative for the girl who needs to add a bit of curl to her relaxed tresses. It’s like a two for one deal; first, steam has been proven as a great way to get some moisture into your locks.
Second, the rollers add the curl and bounce you’d get from your beloved heating devices. Great style, no heat damage and an extra boost of moisture. All that’s missing is some gift wrap.
4. Silk Scarf – There have been plenty of times when I opted out of wrapping my hair at night and woke up in the morning full of regrets. Nowadays, the first thing I do before I even think of laying my head down for the night is throw on my silk scarf*.
Of all the different types of scarves I’ve been through, my hair has definitely loved silk the most. It is the gentlest and preserves moisture and shine the most.
One of the most basic, but necessary tools for ladies with relaxed hair a silk scarf* as is a great way to protect your hair at night. There are literally hundreds of different colors and designs out there so you can have fun with this gift. Cater it to her preferences and style.
5. Top Notch Flat Iron – Okay guys, I know that heat is no good for your hair. I am in no way negating that by suggesting this gift. However, when you do use heat it is important to make sure your products are good quality.
What’s the use in saving yourself one or two heat passes a month when a single use of a cheap flat iron* could cause almost as much damage as frequent direct heat usage?
That being said, a quality flat iron* is a great gift. Ceramic or titanium plates are the best bet. A good iron will be steeper priced, but you can definitely find them in a wide price range. Splurge on her gift so she can splurge on her hair
