4 Cheap but Effective Conditioners for Natural Hair

4 Cheap but Effective Conditioners for Natural Hair

While returning to natural hair is fun, and it’s a learning experience for all of us that want to embrace our own hair, nobody has time to pay hundreds of dollars to purchase hair products.

The problem is that there are so many different products out there marketed towards us, and we sometimes have the assumption that expensive products are the only products that will work and let me be the first to tell you that is completley false.

One product that we need in our hair regimen constantly is conditioner, and since we can go through it faster than other products, it’s pointless to buy really expensive conditioner. Below are four different conditioners that are around $5 that work wonders for conditioning natural hair.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration ($4)
Ingredients; Water , Stearyl Alcohol , Behentrimonium Chloride , Cetyl Alcohol , Bis Aminopropyl Dimethicone , Orchis Mascula Flower Extract , Zea Mays (Corn) Silk Extract , Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract , Fragrance , Benzyl Alcohol , Disodium EDTA , Sodium Hydroxide , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone , Blue 1.

One of the best things about the Hello Hydration conditioner is the smell! This conditioner is sold everywhere from online to Target to your local drugstore.

It has amazing slip, and makes detangling hair a breeze. Although it isn’t the best product for the ingredient conscious naturalista, it definitely gets the job done and it’s very moisturizing. This conditioner also leaves hair shiny and makes finger detangling less of a chore.

TRESemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner

Tresemme Naturals ($5)
Ingredients: Water (Aqua, Eau), Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Fragrance (Parfum), Lauroyl Lysine, Caprylyl Glycol, Brassica Campestris/Aleurites Fordi Oil Copolymer, Aspartic Acid, Distearyldimonium Chloride, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil**, Citric Acid, Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice**.

Tresemme Naturals conditioners are especially cost effective, because they come in 25oz bottles for only $5. They can be purchased online and also at major retailers like Walmart.

Containing ingredients like avocado oil and aloe vera juice, it’s very moisturizing for natural hair. If you use it and feel like it doesn’t contain enough slip, you can pour some of your favorite oil into the bottle and shake it around before applying. You will notice soft, shiny, and detangled hair after using this conditioner.

I decided to start writing because I wanted to document my hair journey, plus I realized that I couldn't find all the information I needed in ONE place on the internet. Deciding to return back to my natural hair was one of the best choices that I've ever made, and I'm glad to help anyone that has a question. Happy Hair Journey!
