Information On The Infographic – How To Do A Henna Gloss

1. Mix henna with water or tea in a bowl and leave to sit for a few hours.

2. Add approx 1 cup of protein free conditioner to the henna and mix to form a thick paste.

3. Apply to dry or damp detangled hair and cover with plastic. Let it sit for anything from 30 minutes to 8 hours.

4. Sit under a dryer for better penetration then rinse thoroughly with PLENTY of water.


5. Deep condition and style as usual.

This card would be even greater if we were told mixing directions for #1 and a time limit for #4

Pamela you would use enough henna to make a paste with #1 the amount you use will depend on how much hair you have, so it is pretty much an estimate. Oh, I was confused by that because I didn’t want it runny. Thanks so much! ☺️ how is this different from a henna gloss though?

Doesn’t henna work by binding to the protein in the hair, so why not use a protein conditioner?
