Clayton Phillips says
This right here shows you that you need to stop putting that f**king bulls**t in your hair but don’t worry y’all go learn one day
Anna Jaye says
It doesn’t show that you need to “stop”… if anything, it shows that you need to be more careful and responsible when doing it
Clayton Phillips says
If you just love your natural hair then there would be no need to even be doing this
Yanna Smiley says
Who’s to say she doesn’t have alopecia or some other type of hair condition though? Doesn’t look like anything pulled her edges too much so I don’t think this was just From weaves and wigs
Clayton Phillips says
Even if she does have alopecia she shouldn’t get her hair braided to tight
Yanna Smiley says
It’s a lace wig… nothing can be braided
Yanna Smiley says
When you have alopecia it’s hard to get your hair braided anyway so braids wouldn’t work out regardless
Clayton Phillips says
She shouldn’t be wearing that either
Clayton Phillips says
What she is allergic to the glue and that caused her hair to fall out
Yanna Smiley says
But if that’s the case she doesn’t have alopecia that wouldn’t make sense… and the glue doesn’t go that far back soooo ????
Clayton Phillips says
Yea but some people can be allergic to the glue and not even know it
Blackpowergirlranger says
It could an autoimmune disease like lupus…stop judging people you don’t know the cause of hair loss.
Bernie Brown says
I agree with you . There are lots of health reasons why many people have severe hair lost , me being one. Lived with it ever since I was very young , and so sad people will judge , but don’t argue with them. They obviously don’t walk in that young lady shoes.
JG Christie says
Youre so right, people need to stop judging because you don’t know their cause!!!
Estralita Givan says
It looks like alopecia!
Jasiyah Nixon says
It’s alopecia. She can’t control the condition, but you can control your dumb ass assumptions.
Chloé says
There are different type of alopecia – most people braiding their hair or gluing their wigs on have what is medically known as Traction alopecia is a form of alopecia, or gradual hair loss, caused primarily by pulling force being applied to the hair. This commonly results from the sufferer frequently wearing their hair in a particularly tight ponytail, pigtails, or braids.
Chloe Coley says
I would be pissed
Tiffany Grant says
WOW….that is beautiful love it!!
Latisha Mcgee says
Very sad how we disregard the health of hair at any length, texture to achieve these looks that do not provide healthy hair.
Antonia Maldonado says
Wow, she needs to go to the dermatologist and stop wearing them ponytails
E. says
Dermatologist can’t help at this point. Been there. After years of painful injections, steroids and other medications….no change. Hereditary. I embraced my long, beautiful hair for years. Cared for it with a passion and it still fell out. Keep your opinions to yourself when you don’t know the journey of someone else. This young lady is doing what us best for her. HER LIFE.
Deborah Squires says
Is she doing treatment for her edges. Instead of coverage.
Thembelihle Gugulethu Ntuli says
Why doesn’t she just cut all her hair yoh
Ashley Elaine Plummer says
Is this from sickness or neglect?
Brianna Barksdale says
Covering the problem isn’t a solution in my opinion anyway
Leah Love says
Fix it lord
Claire Newton-Lindsey says
Not the same person
Claire Newton-Lindsey says
Look at nose in both..height..tattoo. .facial structure. .not same person
Natasha Thomas says
This is why I’ll never wear wear anything glued or sewn to my head.
Sandra B Elliott says
Confused which one is a before and after pic !?
Rasta Thomas says
All the weaves and chemicals destroy their hair, then they cover it up with more weaves. Got it.
Ebony Frank says
She has alopecia
Rasta Thomas says
Ok. But I’m sure you know I’m talking about the epidemic of the weave addiction among most black women in America.
Jasiyah Nixon says
Alopecia. Maybe if that was actually the case and not a dumb ass assumption, they wouldn’t have said anything. Imagine saying this to the girl, your uninformed ass would be put on blast.
Quennie Dixon says
Better focus on have a healthy hair…
Jayda John says
She should of done crochet braids and let it fall over the area that needs to grow back. JBCO oil and treatments. Poor girl
Tenille Albert says
That right there is a smart idea. This is why I stop doing weave when I could do the exact same style in crochet.
Vanessa Baxter says
Jbco?
Sarah Ruby says
Jamaican black castor oil
Jayda John says
Oh and another good one is a wild hair growth oil. I mix the Jamaican black castor oil and that together
Del Via Cotton says
Ummmmmm if you lost the hair from doing weaves/sew ins and everything else? I’m wondering why the heck you still want some? And she’s young to, what about years from now? So nice to have my edges!!!!
Tracey Heyward-Whitehead says
That looks like alopecia
Kimberly Evette Davis says
How do we know she lost her edges from weaves and or sew ins though?
Bernadette Maame Gyamfua Addy says
It could be alopecia, n anybody could have it regardless of age, if u take a look at her head, its full of hair, she has edges too, those patches r alopecia
Kristen Beornssen says
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
Diamond Janel says
Exactly what I am thinking
Anna Jaye says
She has edges
Eliantina Nic says
I dont see edges problem I’m glad others can agree that it’s a deeper problem
Eliantina Nic says
This girl has more edges than I do like really. This is beyond that.
Donna Washington says
Alopecia areata is a autoimmune disease, but there are others types of alopecia that stem.from the latter.
Danika Clay says
My 11 year old daughter has alopecia and has had it for a while now, it gradually pushes back like this. Thank God my daughters hair grows back, but it often falls out again, vicious cycle…
Beatrice Miller says
I too have Autoimmune disease and started itching and there were sores in patches.
One day saw a video on this site and one of the tips was using baking soda either alone sprinkling it on my hand with my shampoo.
It is working. It tried to start again and I shampooed my hair with the baking soda. Left it in for a moments rinsed and conditioned it
Tí Joy Jones says
That looks like a wig, not a weave/sew-in
Jasiyah Nixon says
I love how ignorant mfs like you will put them down and not be informed. Shut your dumb ass up.
Courtney David says
She’s addicted to lace fronts, and there is light at the end of the tunnel but you gotta stop and face the damage she has to shave all of that down to the skin and rock a baldy for a yr and her hair would grow back no problem but she’s addicted
Nardia Why Pree says
Seems she wearing a lace front to me.
E.L. Ransom says
Wouldn’t use the word “fix” here. Coverage is what she did.
Lasundra Hall-MCcray says
some people never learn I guess she likes being bald
Paula Dean says
Sometimes you have to just let go of that weave and go back to basics. I have nothing against weaves but, be wise.
LaTonia Robertson says
Nooo if ur hair is damage please stop wearing the lace frontal
Nikki Cole says
This is caused by damage and from the look of it her follicles have been destroyed this can come from putting to much tension on that area from pulling or if she used a lace front glue the glue could have pulled her hair off during an improper removal technique or an allergic reaction from the glue could have caused this
Kathy Johnson Jordan says
Oh my goodness, that’s a situation
Laila Montana says
Is it really this deep tho? That you would rather cover up the issue then address it .
Brenda Duhart says
Oh, wow what’s really going on. I don’t even want a wig on and I would leave everything else along until hair it self start growing back. Why y’all tripping?
Chandra Houston says
stop wearing weave and deal with the issues with your own hair.
Milonea Roel says
Uhm….. time to give up the fake hair..looks good but not helping with damaged edges ????
Lashelle Coy says
I would rather cover it with a glueless lace frontal than for it to be showing and drawing massive attention to myself
Tonya Williams says
I hate when the show a problem on one side of the head but then after the hairdo they show the other side.
Rylanda Bruno says
Wow smh ♂️
Blaque Foxx says
Is this damage or alopecia?
Kaimi Grant says
Is that damage, or snatched of.. cause she has hair
Jasiyah Nixon says
Alopecia
Kaimi Grant says
OK thanks for the clarity. Because I’m looking at the top…she has thick long hair.
Sandra Ifeoma Orimilikwe says
I think that she should stop doing anything to her hair and let the areas where there is hair loss to grow back. Stop applying tension to the hair
Donna Washington says
Yessss
Tiavia Nelson Fields says
So she should just walk around all bald headed and have low self-esteem. People.would for sure stare and be mean if she did that. The wig is cute and she wears it well
Nichole Davis says
It might not be able to grow back. Especially if it’s hereditary
Vivian Nelson Allen says
No, I do not agree with the fact that she should just walk around with no hair on her head, that would be doing herself a great injustice and it would be opening herself up to nothing but stares and insults.
Cindy Lasmanis-Emerencia says
If u have alopecia it might not grow back EVER! i have alopecia and not from braiding hair. some parts grew back other spots are bald for more then 5 years now!
Deon Avery says
Not damage. It looks a lot like alopecia which is an autoimmune disease.
Ulonda Brazzle says
Traction alopecia isnt.
Deon Avery says
It looks like my daughter’s alopecia areata. I only commented because I have years of personal experience with the issue.
Tanja Dillard says
Thank you for speaking up. I was just diagnosed with unspecified androgenic alopecia. I was devastated because I don’t wear a lot of weave because of sensitive skin. So once again thank you ????
Deon Avery says
God bless you Tanja. I’m sure you’re still beautiful with or without alopecia.
Neeva H Wood says
Well, what else is she going to do. Im sure she doesnt want to walk around edgeless for ppl to make fun of her. It looks good covered with the wig. Maybe she is treating her spots under the weave. Poor thing. Or maybe she can go edgy with a Mohawk or something.
Brittany Sharp says
This is alopecia please don’t judge
Cerissa Chimere says
Ppl and their opinions, how y’all know she’s not getting her hair treated under the weave. It is possible, the right stylist can treat your under your weave. Maybe she has a medical condition, maybe it was neglect, we don’t know. But everybody have a damn opinion ♀️♀️♀️
Jasiyah Nixon says
It can’t be neglect, if the rest of her hair is long. It’s alopecia.
Jaee Bell says
Actually could be neglect, I’ve seen it before. But we never know if it is
Cerissa Chimere says
You right but we don’t know, I just don’t believe in dragging for ppl. Especially based off assumptions and somebody I don’t know. It could be a variety of reasons
Ne Ne White says
that’s a shame all that hair she got
Kim Miller says
This could be either alopecia or traction alopecia. The latter is preventable, but alopecia is an internal issue. It’s an opinion to just let go and let it be for a while, but sometimes the image of beauty is worth more than the process to healing. I suffered major hair loss several years ago, and chose to let it go. However, it took unimaginable courage (chemical processing damage). We all want to feel beautiful, and I didn’t during that time. Gratefully there are people skilled in aiding those of us that need the veil. People were not nice about my dramatic change in appearance, so I’m happy she found someone that could help her during this time. Did she admit the hair loss was from weaves? Curious, as my browser blocks this website as unsafe.
Kim Miller says
Thanks Cerissa Chimere Just never know what people are going through. Hope her comeback, from the setback, is fierce!!
Cerissa Chimere says
Right, but ppl and their opinions about “what she should be doing” instead is killing me. Especially other women, knowing damn well if it was them, they would do the same exact thing. Treat your hair under your weave and cover it up. I don’t know why ppl think it’s impossible to do. I know more than a few stylist who can work more than a few miracles under some weave. But I’m happy for the young lady, I just hope her stylist is actually treating the issue. But I don’t know so I’m not gonna judge, even more so it’s not my place or anyone else’s for that matter.
Tee Collins says
Oh my….
Tara Ricks says
I don’t think it’s the same girl
Anngiquetta Canada says
People are so judgemental not all hair loss is because of neglect sometimes it’s genes!
Cheryl Randall says
Thank You so much. ALOPECIA is real!
Maiysha Ramos says
Her hair looks nice….I hope she’s getting treatment for her own hair under that weave
Holland Logan Kizzia says
Shea butter needed…helped my edges grow back..
Nikeria Williams says
Damn she aint gone never have no edges
Roxie Heart says
Jamaican castor oil will grow edges back
Jai Bacote says
This will be good for her while she treats the bald area. If done right, lacefronts can be a good thing.
Jai Carrington says
she needs to see a specialist for both the outside damage & the internal that tells her it’s worth it to do that to herself bc that’s the standard of beauty
Sharon Blassingill says
Nice lace front.
Valerie Johnson says
Looks like she had a nice thick head of hair before this
Alexandria Bryant Shaughnessy says
Looks like alopecia from my experience and knowledge of hair. The only thing that’s sad are these ignorant ass comments from people who don’t know shit about hair, or issues like alopecia.
Linda Tute says
OMG
Ladlili Williams says
Avocado Oil/Grapeseed Oil or Castor Oil.
Irele Jackson says
This lady has a big ass ball of healthy hair in the middle of her head and y’all ASSuming she neglects her hair???? It’s not from tension. That much hair loss is clearly an indication of alopecia.
Paula Ayanna says
Last thing she needs is more weave
Kimberly Htown Lavine says
Omg
Shawneice Smith says
Dayummm!
Racheal Renee says
Nikita, look this wizardry
Marlène Roa Cordero says
the cost of temporary beauty.
Shawnetta Jones says
I’m going to assume that maybe she has alopecia. Either way weave damage or alopecia or traction alopecia I would rock a regular wig so it can be removed daily and scalp cleansed and scalp vitamin e oiled. Vit E is good for fixing damage like this.
Marcia Johnson says
Stop the lied
Cat De Jour says
Them girls are so dumb. They know not to put glue on top of their edges but they still keep on with it
Tatum Perfect says
How does that happen to your hair
Michelle McKay says
She needs to let it rest, wear a wig, use natural treatments, eating right, take vitamins, rest, plenty of water
Michelle McKay says
It happened to me, because of surgeries, but now it is growing back
Melody Denise Conard says
Why do people put their selfies though this with no edges
Tomeka Posley says
Chanel Jones smh!
Nakia Jumysha says
OMG….How the f**k was this done?
Tracey Hammock says
Nice fix is an understatement! Miracle is more like it
Ashley Weatherspoon says
Jesus had to come by and touch her head, that is TRULY a miracle
David J. Ortiz says
Ok what is it attatched to
Ashley Weatherspoon says
There is some sort of glue that can attach the weave to the scalp….this is too much!
David J. Ortiz says
Ah……but if that is from weave and extensions why would you do that…………crazy
Futurama Miller says
Wow
Lauren Hemingway says
Why on earth would u just cover It? How about just grow it back let your hair breath
Andrea Thomas says
Not the same female
Furtuna Furti says
Wooow
Valencia Compton says
issamiracle
Scenia Bell Chardell Moody
Aneeka Davis says

LaLa Toya says

Neshia Taylor-Magee how did she let it get this bad
Nasheka Medley says
She needs to see a Trichologist to diagnose the root cause of her hair loss
Ruth Moss says
CUTE
Francesca Nicholls says
Afro hair is beautiful natural! I’m so jealous of having boring brown straight hair. Embrace what you have ladies xx
Eloise Wilson says
Niece you are so right. Two different people, different texture of hair and profile doesn’t match
Bridget Cummings says
I’m sorry that’s not a fix. Because we still know what’s underneath… nothing
Deborah Ann Hohn-Keough says
My daughter keeps my granddaughters hair braided. I know it’s easier but I’m afraid that her hair is going to be damaged.
Ebony Cherie' Greene says
My hair has looked like this multiple times over the last 10 years. Don’t just assume it’s because of weave! I have trichotillomania and when I get stressed I literally pull out my own hair. Sometimes I don’t even realize I’m doing it. We don’t want to, but have this urge to do so. Then, speaking for myself, comes the depression because you can’t stop and now you look crazy. Don’t judge, dont assume, ask. If you can’t ask, then shut up.
Lynn Gause says
So Beautiful love the hair
Beulah Brown says
Happy
Basha Blvckz says
U don’t learn
Wasani Flores says
It’s nice tho
Noelle Renee Anderson says
Sexy.
LaKeisha Cooper says
This could be an issue with alopecia…. in which I have… auto immune disorder…
