Introduce yourself . . .
I once hated my hair texture…now I embrace it and would love others to embrace their natural texture as well. It can be a blessing but without the proper care it can get stressful.
Are you relaxed, natural, texturized or texlaxed?
What’s your story, how did you get to where you are?
For me it started with coloring my hair a vivid candy red. I didn’t take care of my hair but it still grew but it was damaged.
I went to my stylist (Kizzy) one day and she cut all the damaged hair off…now I went from having hair past my neck to hair to my ears.
I cried but after a while…I freekin loved it <3 So thank you Kizzy for helping me take that leap. That was 2010. In 2011 I cut it in a mohawk…shaved the sides…razored my texture…the real deal…and I decided to let it grow out the beginning of 2012…it was rough growing it back out.
Most of the color is grown out and cut out. I made it to BSL…I still have leftover color from 2011 at the ends which used to be my roots.
What is your typical weekly regimen?
I pineapple it at night (like the pic above)…sometimes I rock that pineapple through the day…I love it any time of the day
Are you happy with your progress so far?
I am ecstatic…like dude seriously last year I was growing out my hair it was short on both sides and long on the top…and I didn’t do anything to it while I was pregnant. I just said “eff it”
What’s your signature style?
My sig style is that hi-bun..with my tiger scarf…all day everyday…I know people be like..”really the scarf again”…I love it tho.
How do you ensure that your ends are protected from the elements and your hands?
Well I wear it in the bun so I guess that’s how I protective style it…I would like to do Senegalese twists with my natural hair but we’ll see
Do you have a goal length or are you more concerned about the health of your hair?
Both…my goal length whatever my hair wants…I can’t make “her” do anything she don’t wanna…it’s BSL now so lower back perhaps
Is there anything that you hair hates?
My…hair…hates…grease…eww…and mousse…oh and wash and sets (seriously don’t work right)…and haters who say “nappy”
Do you have any favorite hair products?
Where can we find you online?
