Introduce yourself . . .
Greetings! I am a widowed mother and grandmother living in Las Vegas, NV. Living and loving life and so so grateful to God for allowing me to enjoy my grandchildren – my gems.
Are you relaxed, natural, texturized or texlaxed?
I am “back to natural”.
What’s your story, how did you get to where you are?
After years of pressing, relaxing, texturizing, coloring, I decided to embrace my grey and natural hair.
What is your typical weekly regimen?
It varies, as I switch between wearing my afro and braids.
Are you happy with your progress so far?
I have always had “growing hair” so, yes.
What’s your signature style?
My afro, of course!
How do you ensure that your ends are protected from the elements and your hands?
I use moisturizers. I use a silk cap to cover up my hair at night when sleeping and I also use Shea butter* products.
Do you have a goal length or are you more concerned about the health of your hair?
My hair was very long when I did the “big chop”. I was more concerned with cutting off the dead permed and colored ends and starting afresh. My hair is very thick and growing really well.
Is there anything that you hair hates?
Do you have any favorite hair products?
