Introduce yourself …
Hi, my name is Bernadetta and I am natural since 2011, and I’m loving it. I am very kind, I love to do hair also like to laugh.
Are you relaxed, natural, texturized or texlaxed?
Natural
What’s your story, how did you get to where you are?
I decided to go back to nature in 2011, because I wasn’t excited about my relaxed hair any more, it wasn’t for me. I have decided to remain natural, I have a 3C curl pattern. My hair is fuller and healthier now that I have the right products to use and always deep condition my hair.
What is your typical weekly regimen?
My typical weekly regimen consist of shampoo and conditioning, and deep conditioning* with my Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner followed by Africa’s Best Organics Hair Mayonnaise Conditioning Treatment. I also use the Tresemme Split Remedy Leave-In Conditioning Treatment, & Tresmme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray. Then I style!
Are you happy with your progress so far?
Yes
What’s your signature style?
My signature style is curls, flat iron*, bun, braid out, or wash and go
How do you ensure that your ends are protected from the elements and your hands?
I keep my hair up and ends clipped.
Do you have a goal length or are you more concerned about the health of your hair?
I’m more concerned about the health of my hair and the goal length I’m going for is WL
Is there anything that you hair hates?
My hair hate Organix Beauty Pure and Simple it weighs my hair down and I will have no volume or body to it.
Do you have any favorite hair products?
Yes, Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner, Africa’s Best Organics Hair Mayonnaise Conditioning Treatment, Tresmme Split Remedy Leave-In Conditioning Treatment, and Tresmme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray.

Love the color!! What is it?
Pretty..I love the haircolor.
Beautiful hair!
Beautiful head full of crop and the color is perfect on you!!
Now this color is on point…..love it
beautiful!…are there any other good shampoos and conditioners for natural hair besides Garnier Fructis..their shampoo makes my hair matted and hard to detangle
You could try tresseme naturals moisture conditioner. I’ve found Vo5 give me moisture to be a good one too and herbal essences hello hydration. I’m still experimenting with shampoos as i don’t use them often so can’t give any suggestions on that.
Hope this helps. 🙂
How do you keep hair soft when you going from perm to natural. It’s hard for me to keep it from tangling and being rough when I’m waiting to put a perm
Leave in conditioner is perfect… use it daily… I use creme of nature
Jealous. She has beautiful hair
Bernadette what blow dryer do you use?
Red turbo 2000
Very nice thanks for sharing your journey. It keeps me motivated while I transition since March 2013.

WL=Waist Length
Love it
Divinediva Robert I use luster pink hair lotion to detangle! works great for my hair
M Lyons Smith WL is waist length.
Her hair is super pretty and healthy lookin.
Kool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank u.
Her hair looks great but her hair is dyed so it is not natural
Oh hush
I still don’t agree! What does color have to do with you hair not being natural?! Nothing!
Beautiful hair and color!
L <3 V E the curls!!
I luv that color
Her hair is still in it’s natural textured state so its still natural
Nice
Daynielle Blair wtf did I say wrong
Dominque Rochelle your hair is not in its natural state if it dyed anyone that knows anything about hair kniw dye makes your hair extremely dry and split
I been dying my hair every two years, in my hair is not dry or split at all, everyone hair is different and nobody can tell a person what they hair can take. And I deep conditioning my hair every week and keep it up so it won’t break off, but after the color grow out my natural hair color come back. And with the color my hair still curly 3a.
Hair coloring is a chemical change therefore the hair is no longer natural whether its straight curly kinky coily or otherwise
I agree with Sylvia Brown and Brande Richmond whenever you change the state of your hair using anything with chemicals it’s not virgin nor natural, that doesn’t just apply to relaxed hair
But it is really pretty tho
Shes a colored natural..and its beautiful. #BlackPower
What about a semi?? Some older natural haired people have to dye their gray hair. Are they not considered natural?…Her hair is pretty and healthy
Looks nice and healthy!
My hair is natural an the color cherry cola. No dye just jazzin
There are natural hair dyes, you purists!
Semi
LIKE IT
were do yall get this hair stuff from
i love the color a very pretty natural look
Love it!!!
Her hair is pretty, your as natural as you believe you are. Don’t let anyone try and take that away from you, because you chose to dye your hair. I’ve been natural almost three years with and without dye and my hair has always stayed it’s kinky texture.
Love the look and the color
Love your story and product you use!! Amazing!!!
The correct term would be CURLY. Caucasian people don’t go around debating whether they’re “natural” if they’ve colored their hair, I’ll never understand why we do this to each other. But Hair is defined by wavy, curly or straight.
AMEN
wow very baetiful hair
Beautiful hair & fabulous color
Smh it’s natural!!! I love it!! Stop trying to tell someone what their natural hair should be!! Get a life!!
I believe some people get a little jealous when someone is able to pull of healthy hair that’s been dyed. I’ve been natural for over 6years…dyed it last February and women get made at me because it is dried out and breaking off. Women often ask me if it’s a weave and get mad at me when they find out that it’s all mine. Smh
I HAVE NOW COME TO AN CONCLUSION THAT SOME WOMEN JUST COME AND COMMENT ON ALL THESE LOVELY LADIES PICTURES OUT OF SELF HATE…REMEMBER WHILE POINTING ONE HAND 4 IS POINT PACK AT YOU..EVERY TIME YALL MAKE A NEGATIVE COMMENT I JUST LOOK ON YALL PICS AND I BE LIKE..NOW IT MAKES SENSE..LEARN TO LOVE UR SISTAS EVEN IF U FIND 1 NEGATIVE THING THERE ARE STILL POSITIVE THINGS U COULD HAVE FOCUSED ON AND EMBRACED
Love that color!
I don’t agree……your “Natural” is the state that your hair is in. She didn’t say that she had virgin hair (which is what kids have…no heat/chemicals/etc)….and she’s still natural regardless of color….plus you don’t know what she used to color her hair. Some people are so funny!
LaShawne T. Dunlap it ain’t that deep her hair looks nice either way.
I would like to recommend the pro naturals hair repair mask, it is made from argan oil and it seriously hydrates and moisturizes the hair =)
Natural hair is whatever it means to you…
