Moisturizing is a must for healthy hair. Short, long, natural and relaxed hair all has to be moisturized. And while we all know that moisturizing our hair is necessary, we also know that it can be time-consuming and at times, a hassle.
Avoiding the hassle associated with moisturizing and keeping your strands looking and feeling good, seems like a fantasy that’s beyond reach.
But, truthfully, there are some short cuts to moisturizing your hair that can get you through those days and nights where you are just too tired to go through with a long, drawn out routine. It’s not magic, but it is as close as we can get to it. Below are some easy to incorporate moisturizing hacks for the lazy girl. Read, learn and thank me later.
The ponytail
This is a super simple one and it works better if you do it at night. For this quick and easy hack, you will need enough hair to pull into a loose ponytail.
Sorry short haired ladies, the other hacks will work for you, but this one is for the longer haired lazy women. Pull you hair into a low ponytail and secure it with a hair tie. You don’t want to tie it tight. The ends of the hair need to be accessible, but you don’t want your strands too densely packed, so go easy when you tie it.
Once the hair is in a ponytail, take your moisturizer of choice and place a quarter sized amount into the palm of one of your hands. The amount may vary depending on the length and thickness of your hair. With the other hand, take the free ends of your hair at the end of the ponytail and gently dip them into the palm of your hand and into the moisturizer.
Then take any leftover moisturizer and rub it between the palms of both your hands and smooth it over your hair from your forehead back to the hair tie. Take the ends of your hair and work the moisturizer your dipped onto your hair, into the ends of your strands. You can then bun your hair, wash your hands and head to bed.
is all the way up!
