5. You are not watching your ingredients
What you put into your body is of great importance to your hair journey and a healthy diet is always recommended but what you put on your hair can make a great deal of difference too.
It could be that home-made concoction you love so much may have an ingredient that is eating away the progress that you have made; perhaps you need to revisit the measurements or eliminate one or more of those ingredients.
You may also need to check your product labels to see if there is anything that could be contributing to breakage.
Make an adjustment in your diet to aid your body in generating the cells needed for stronger hair growth too. This can only rev up your beauty several times over.
6. You are jumping on too many bandwagons
There is a saying that too many cooks spoil the broth. While there is always lots of interesting and exciting news on the hows of hair care, you would do yourself a great disservice by trying to do it all at once.
It could be that you have introduced several concoctions or commercial products that you’ve heard through the grapevine work wonders.
You then suddenly switch to something else before you have seen the results of your new method. Your hair will probably protest.
You need to give your hair enough time to respond to what you are doing right now before moving on to something else.
7. You are using heat too often
A little heat is required to do your deep conditioning* treatment, that is the indirect or ‘diffuse’ heat from a hooded dryer*. But when it comes to the fiery tools of hair death, it would be wise to maintain a healthy relationship with them.
If you find you are whipping out your curling iron*, flat iron* or blow dryer* several times each week, that could be the very reason why you are not seeing the benefits of the work you’ve put in.
In fact direct heat use can be the single largest reason for being stuck at a hair length plateau, you have been warned.
At a plateau. Been at the same plateau for over 20 years.
My cousin actually is friends with a girl who has been natural longer than me and her and is stuck at shoulder length almost natural for 5 years . I’m only a year natural my cousin is about 3 years natural and my cousin hair is longer than hers hers is past her shoulders with shrinkage and almost bra strap length when straightened . BELIEVE it Or NOT THAT GIRL MY Cousins FRIEND tried To GIVE Me HAIR advice. The reason she is stuck at that actually is only because she goes to the salon and constantly gets IT flat ironed once a week .
