Like Monistat, Athelte’s Foot cream also has the anti-fungal agent, Miconazole, in its ingredients. One of the side effects listed on the product’s packaging is excessive hair growth.
This warning was probably an open invitation for hair growth fanatics everywhere. Some women claim to have seen two inches of hair growth a month when using the cream regularly.
4. Horse Conditioner – Mega Tek
Mega Tek is a cell rebuilder for equine animals’ hooves and coats. It can also be used to strengthen your dog’s hair, and it reduces breakage. I don’t know what it is about horse products, but they are very popular amongst the long hair community.
Mega Tek claims to grow animal hair longer and much faster than similar products. Mega Tek’s packaging states that it has “special” proteins in its ingredients that encourage hair growth. Unlike MTG oil, this leave-in treatment is lightweight, and smells like coconut*. Fortunately for you, the company makes it clear that the product is safe to use on humans.
5. MSM Cream
Originally MSM cream and pills were intended to be used by people who have painful issues with their joints. It’s found in plants and animals, but can also be made in a laboratory for medicinal purposes. MSM, also known as Methylsulfonylmethane, can be applied topically, or it can be ingested in tablet or capsule form.
People who were taking the supplement for their joints noticed that their hair seemed to be growing thicker and faster. Apparently, someone decided to experiment with the cream, and applied it to their scalp. Their results were faster growing and thicker hair. Some women even claim that MSM loosened their curl pattern.
This may or may not be a benefit for some. MSM* aids in tissue repair, and some doctors state that it is loaded with collagen. These facts alone may be the reason why MSM* aids in hair growth. Collagen is what keeps your hair and nails bountiful. If you’re going to experiment with MSM, be sure to drink plenty of water. It’s been known to cause headaches, if you’re low on water intake.
As with any supplement or hair growth product, you should always use caution, and do your research. If you’re unsure about an ingredient in a product, ask your doctor. Long hair should never take precedence over your health.

There are natural ingredients and oils that will do the same thing…just be patient and find out what your hair likes.
Althea Patterson says
Why would you claim to love your natural hair and then use potions for HORSES? Think I’ll leave that one alone. I’m not obsessed with length, I want strong, healthy hair first and foremost.
Mahogany Tolbert says
Smh this is when hair becomes a obsession instead of a preference. Just be patient your hair is going to grow sheesh. It only takes 3 years to get mid back hair with proper hair care. Females need to relax…
Christine says
I wouldn’t use any of the stuff on my hair, but y’all go ahead on though lol!

Foot cream tho? Let my man come home and see me massaging his foot cream in my hair…-_- *stale face…now I have used MSM vitamins for about a month, because I literally had pain in my shoulders. I did not know it could grow your hair until I was two weeks in. I didn’t see any other growth than my 1/2 inch that I get. This “hair growth craze” is going too far tho

Ok I got the best thing to grow your hair…………scrambled eggs on top of your head with bacon on the thinning edges. LOL!
But seriously. M-t-g- was originally created by a doctor for humans. Later people started using it on their horses and it’s been marketed that way for a long time. It’s still ok for humans. I know because I use it and it Does Work! At first my hair gets thicker and then it starts growing like crazy. I’m used to the scent. It smells like burnt bacon (I love bacon just not burnt). Right now I’m only using it once a week and then washing it out.
Also I use Mega-Tek (it smells really nice like coconut). It’s made by the same company that makes OCT (Ovation Cell Therapy). The ingredients are very similar yet they sell the Mega-Tek for less than half the price. I love it. Although it has a lot of protein, it has a lot of moisturizers in it also.
