The opinions are split on Eva’s new look, I kinda like it, others not so much. I will allow you guys to decide, but can we talk about how gorgeous she looks after just having a baby three months ago? Well maybe not, we should just focus on the hair so before I get spanked on the hands let me refocus.
I have to say the hair was pretty on trend, we have been seeing a lot of these short cropped blonde hair styles lately and we have even talked about it here a few times.
Now Eva has done blonde before, remember back in 2012 at the BET awards when she rocked her signature pixie cut with the white dress and orange pumps. Just in case you need a reminder check her out.
It is hard not to admit that we are ever so slightly over the blonde, dark roots bob look, yet a lot of our favorite celebs insist on rocking it so we will probably still continue to talk about it.
What is slightly hilarious is that this look has been so on trend there have been articles written on blogs looking at just why black women gravitate towards blonde hair. Of course you know black women cant just DO something and it not be analysed to death. So in the spirit of analysis here is one comment we read on a blog that we thought would be interesting to share:
I think a lot of musicians are consumed with selling an image, and not their art. And I suppose that if you want to be a pop star, you can’t forget that pop stands for popular. It does seems that every pop star(not just the Black ones) seem to get progressively blonder as they strive for mainstream appeal (Britney, Gaga, and J.Lo started out as Brunettes).
Unfortunately, the easiest way to get many people to love you as a female artist is to get them to notice you’re beautiful. And the only way to appeal to the most people is to prove that you can achieve White standards of beauty.
Let that marinate in your mind a bit, we just scrolled passed that comment because honestly it isn’t that serious, we just think women in general like to experiment with different looks and blonde happens to be one of them.
Moving right along what do you ladies think of the blonde look on Eva?
