The ever sexy, ever charming Blair Underwood did something rather odd with his hair. Now ladies I know that we have predominantly female crowd that reads our blog and most of the time we take great pleasure in talking about just us girls. But every now and then a dude might do something a little outrageous and honestly we can’t help ourselves.
What happened was, Blair decided he didn’t want to go through all the pain time and commitment it takes to grow actual locs, he said let me take a shortcut and add in some falsies.
(smile) Naaah, what really happened was he has a major stage role that required locs, he is playing Shakespeare’s Othello and he called his hair transformation magical. – Hey get that money boo!
“INSTANT LOCKS! I sat down this weekend with Chikodi Deming and eight hours later I had a full head of locks for my latest project; Shakespeare’s #Othello, onstage at the Old Globe Theatre. She’s a magician. LOL. Pictured here with Master hairstylist Sterfon Deming; her husband, as well. Thank you guys for making it happen!”
To be honest I am glad its for a role, because for me I am not used to a guy wearing extensions* and if you ask my husband about it, he might not answer very readily for fear of offending someone.
We have talked about faux locs before, they are just another protective styling option that mimic real locs. The style is super cute and can be super sexy when done right as you can see from this post.
Allow us to play devils advocate for a minute, how do you feel about men wearing extensions*? We have seen some pretty strong opinions against on our social media pages concerning long hair on men in general however in this case locs are pretty unisex so it is probably a matter of how you feel about them on Blair right?
Some might feel strongly and say, no way if you want locs, then you better grow some, others might disagree and say that is fine. Either way weigh in, do you like Blair’s falsies? And should guys save extensions for the girls?
He looks great and he wouldn’t be the first man to rock faux locs
We’d all be mad if a guy said us ladies can’t wear… Well really anything in our hair…. So right would we have to tell a man that he can’t do whatever he wants with his hair?
He looks Damn good. Lol. They fit him
I’m not hating it.. He’s fine!
It’s different
I like a black man with locs!
Ok Blair!!!! He has redeemed himself from that asunder hair . Lol
So a lot of guys say women shouldn’t wear extensions, weave, tracks etc, but we should be okay with them wearing it? I truly don’t give a darn, we should all be able to do what we want with our hair. But if I catch a guy with weave and he said I can’t wear in I’m telling everyone lol.
The man in the pic looks great with them by the way.
Blair can do no wrong, except that asunder hair….lol. i <3 me some Blair Underwood, since head of the class, baybay!!!#woo!
I like them.. no one bats an eye when a woman does it
No he looks great!
He is always sexy no matter what he do or wear! Luv this guy!
If you rock them right then its all good. Mr Underwood you gave me butterflies

Ewww , hes always GQ and on point with his style. He looks very unkept to me.
As long as its false licks and not weave. I love it !
I hope it’s only for a role
Dude who cares as long as they look real? If he never said shit no one would even know these were faux locs. And Fyi, if he had them done w human hair, they will fuse w his real hair anyway. The whole point of these is that once your real hair starts to grow, you can transition by cuttin the human hair little by little, it’s kind of the same concept as transitioning from relaxed to natural.
Anyway, they look nice.

Looks good on him and he is already a handsome man!!!
It’s for a role, not like the man decided to just get fake locs… Anyway he looks good regardless of what’s on his head!
He would look good with dreds not weave lol
No Blair i don’t like it it’s not you
I like them.
