You will probably look like Coolio’s less attractive sister when you are done so if you need to get out of the house for goodness sake pop a hat on first! Otherwise, cover your hair with a satin bonnet* and leave your banded hair to air dry overnight.
Once your hair is completely dry, remove the hairbands starting from the ends to the roots. Run your fingers through the section to pry your hair apart. Air dried hair tends to remain pretty moisturized and shiny so you shouldn’t need to add anything to your hair but you can of course add some oil if you need to.

I’m been thinking about doing a transition to natural hair for a while. I have some questions. How often should I band my hair? Do I really need to apply the leave in conditioner every night?
