Terressentials Pure Earth Hair Wash
This line is free of chemical detergents, coating agents, preservatives, and coconut. With five amazing scents (Lavender Garden, Cool mint, Sultry Spice, Fragrance free) you get clean, full, soft and shiny hair.
All of their shampoos or hair washes are coconut* free, silicone free, nut free and natural. These clay based hair washes are great for all hair types and wildly popular.
Let me quickly add that Terressentials Customer Support has said, “While our Hair Wash is coconut and tree nut free, we are not a coconut* and tree nut free facility, and we could not guarantee that our products are allergen friendly.”
Conditioners
Gluten-Free Savonnerie Conditioner
Jojoba oil* is the star in this fragrance free conditioner. It will soften and make your strand more manageable. Gentle and nourishing. This conditioner will never be harsh to your hair.
This conditioner does not contain coconut or coconut oil*; however as with the shampoo, it does contain the ingredient, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, which is synthesized from highly refined coconut oil* or highly refined palm oil.
The processing it goes through is said to remove most if not all of the coconut proteins that typically trigger an allergic response.
Curly Hair Solutions Conditioner
With conditioning and protecting your strands as the focus, this lightweight conditioner will repair and detangle your hair gently yet effectively. Regain your hair’s moisture and balance from roots to ends and will not fade hair color and you already know it is coconut and tree nut free!
Stylers
Salon Naturals Natural Hold Styling Gel
This lightweight styling gel does not contain ingredients that cause sensitivity to those suffering from tree nut or wheat allergies.
All you will get is softness, movement, touchability and freedom. It is humidity-fighting and protects against static (nothing worse than curly hair static) fly-aways and end-of-the-day droop.
Salon Naturals Argan Finishing Serum
Just like its sister gel, this finishing serum does not contain ingredients that cause sensitivity to those suffering from tree nut or wheat allergies.
It does, however, penetrate your hair strands to promote moisture retention while taming your frizz and fly-aways. Get protection from environmental stresses, heat styling and salon services that can negatively affect your tresses.
Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper original
Become the master of amazing frizz-free curls without dryness. Fight humidity without build-up and style your hair perfectly without tree nuts or coconuts!
Frizz will be fought off for days because water will reactivate the styler for 2nd and even 3rd day hair. Do you have a coconut or tree-nut allergy and if so how do you cope with hair care products?

Ack! I accidentally deleted my own comment 😛 I was trying to say, THANK YOU so much for this article!!! I have a severe peanut and tree nut allergy, and although I can use coconut containing products, I have had allergic reactions to legume and almond related foods (for example, I must steer clear of avocado). It’s sometimes frustrating to find products containing ingredients that won’t make me sick or make my skin break out in blisters. I have even ordered products online after reading the product description and ingredients thoroughly, only to receive the product and see on the package that the manufacturer put almond oil in it but the website didn’t reflect the change! Crazy! And dangerous!! So I’m always on the lookout for different products to try that are safe for me…this article brought many to my attention that I’ve not heard of. Thank you again!!

Thank you so much for this list! I am not a WOC, but I do have coarse, dry, porous, curly hair and since becoming allergic to coconut I haven’t been able to wear my hair natural and the heat styling is ruining my hair. I am so excited to try these products!
This article does not help. I am allergic to all nuts and I an natural. every product you have listed has sulfur in it so it would not do well in may hair. do better research.
Thank you for the article also to add Folacare (www.folacare.co.uk) hair moisturiser is free from nut oil, shea butter and coconut oil.

Thank you. I am a pale blue Scottish person who is allergic to coconut, and I struggled to find products I can use. Even online, it was not easy, until I found this site. So once again, I thank black women. The Curly Hair Solutions shampoo and conditioner are wonderful and don’t make me get a rash. Thank you thank you thank you.
Curious how you can recommend products as coconut free when they have ingredients like Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Lauramide Dea are derived from coconut?? I have severe allergy to coconut and it is caused by using the coconut-based synthetic derivatives of coconut
Any feedback is appreciated
Isopropyl Myristate is an ester of isopropyl alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol) and myristic acid (a fatty acid that naturally occurs in coconut and palm oils). It Is in curly hair solution conditioner. So my scalp was on fire because I should’ve read the ingredients more carefully and not just trusted your website. I mean Amy is right, a product is not coconut free just because you don’t see the word coconut in it.
