Every curly girl should try this gel at least once in their hair journey. If you will allow me to be a bit dramatic about it, I would say trying this gel is almost a right of passage for every natural.
6. Ouidad by Ouidad Ouidad Curl Quencher Moisturizing Styling Gel
Ok so this is definitely more of a high-end gel, but do not let its prissy name fool you this gel does what it says it is going to do. The gel contains rich botanical emollients and Pro-Vitamin B5 and it conditions, defines, and holds dry, thirsty curls.
An awesome, awesome solution for curly girls who want that light hold but a frizz free look after a wash and go.
We absolutely love this formula. It is infused with plumeria alba flower extract and aloe leaf juice and fights frizz the way it is designed to do.

Another high-end gel that is amazing, let me repeat that A-Maaazing! We love Camille Rose Naturals because the quality of her products is totally worth the price.
This gel defines your curls with natural horsetail and beet extracts and it literally caresses your curls giving them a natural bounce without the crunch.
9. Ampro Pro Styl Clear Ice Protein Gel
Listen, do not sleep on Ampro! This gel has been around for years and many of us probably started looking past of it when some of the newer gels hit the market.
We might not admit it but many of us have a big jar of Ampro way in the back of the product cabinet because its trustworthy, it does not flake and you get a ton of product for very little cash. We are totally here for this oldie but goodie!
10. Curl Junkie Coffee-Coco Curl Creme
Curl Junkie is an awesome brand and if you want a curl cream that gives you some hold without the hard crunch this one is awesome.
It is a bit on the pricey side but you will not be disappointed if you want a light hold with minimal fizz.

Eco styler gel is really hyped up, it doesn’t work so well on my 3c 4a combo hair
That’s surprising, because I have the same hair type and the Ecostyler Olive Oil is the only Gel that curls my hair. Been natural for 6 years and it’s been a staple. That and Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie. I’ve strayed away and tried other Gels, but come right back, because nothing else works. Goes to show how different everyone’s hair is. I did an experiment with Shea Moisture. I have 4b hair and I wanted to do a wash and go. If you think Shea moisture will curl your hair, it won’t. It took a long time to dry and my hair was white all day. Eco styled for me.
I use it before eco styler gel when I do a bun and it really does enhance curls. Try that I got it from YouTube. Oh and regarding the white stuff you have to brush it out I would only recommend this for packing your hair
I used eco styler, and as I am but eden body works curl definition cream works wonders on my 4b hair too. You can also use a diffuser for a bomb hold on them wash and go’s
Every time I used the Eco styler gel my hair starts to have white flakes on in. Any suggestions on preventing the flakes?
Patricia A Wallace MIX products in hand with eco, if it gets frothy it is not a good mixture and will flake. if it stays creamy and smooth it is okay. you can do this with any product to see if they mix well together.
Love my Shea Moisture smoothie! I have quite a few that define my coils.

LA long aid, curl activator gel. I recently purchased Etae products and will see how it is with a blow out.
