How is it a birthmark versus a genetic hair color and why does it Happen?
If you look at it on a genetic level it’s a genetic mutation where melanocytes cells are absent. It’s also a dominant trait so you can argue if you wanted that it’s a genetic hair color or not. So long as the size of the white patch does not grow generally it’s harmless but if the gray/white color continues to spread then it may be a disease that affects the heart, hearing, vision etc.
