Test run
As mentioned above, short hair may not be for everyone. If you want to take that test drive, try a pixie cut wig. These are often very easy to get your hands on as most beauty supply stores or hair stores carry them. Because the hair is short, pixie wigs* are also budget friendly because the hair used to make them doesn’t have to be human hair in order for the wig to maintain its shape when cut.
Short cuts come in a variety of styles as well. A wig is a great way for you to experiment with a bowl cut pixie or a super short traditional pixie. See if you prefer the sides longer or shorter. Or maybe you like how the hair accentuates your nape when its styled to give the wispy look. If you take a wig cap*, you can try on the different styles right there in the store before you even spend any money.
Add Color
Color your hair is one of the easiest ways to switch things up if you’re bored. It is also one of the most common ways to damage your strands. Especially if youe hair is relaxed or otherwise previously chemically treated.
You don’t have to give up color completely, though. Get a few tracks, dye them, bleach them, lift them to the high heavens. Them add them into your own hair and voila! Instant gratification with no damaging side effects. It’s a win-win. And if you really want to be daring, you can do like RiRi and just straight up get a pink wig* and rock out with a full head of colored hair.
Wigs can also be a great option if you want to give your hair a break from coloring. For instance, if you deal with frequent dye jobs to cover gray hair, you can use a wig that is dyed the color of your natural hair so that you’re able to squeeze in more time in between the coloring treatments your real hair needs.
Whatever the reason, give a short wig* or weave a try have some fun switching things up. When you do, you’ll see that short hair wigs* and weaves are dope.
