Funny right? Quinta talking to a perm box has to be one of the funniest things I saw all day! Who in the world thinks of these things it was a perfect visual of what happens in the beauty supply store when you are haveing a particularly hard natural hair day and you come face to face with a perm box.

You know we have all had the very same conversation, first we consider it, then we quickly remove the thoughts out of our mind and suddenly twisting your hair at night does not seem too bad.

At this moment I am having a mini hair crisis myself. It is safely under my bonnet, but I know if I stick my hand under there I will feel the dryness the tangles and the knots and it is enough to stress anybody out. At this point in my journey, I know exactly what to do when I feel as if a spray bottle and a Denman brush will not be enough to heal the disaster happening under my bonnet.

Most hair problems stem from physical issues with our hair, dryness, tangles, brittle hair, or frustration with hair growth. On the days you feel like you need to just get a perm because you are so frustrated with hair care issues I want to give you my secrets for getting through it. These methods have worked for me and I know they will work for you! Here are 5 ways you can get through a tough patch without perming your hair:

1. Put deep conditioner in it

When my hair is in a tangled state of just no return, one of the things that I do is I grab my deep conditioner and just get it in my hair the best way I know how.


I would choose a deep conditioner that knew was thick and had ingredients that could do most of the work for me and apply it all over my hair. This method may require a lot of product since your hair is dry but after you get enough in you will notice that your tangles will literally start melting away.
