The wash and go is one of the most coveted styles by every curly girl because it’s so simple- just wash your hair, and go. Although it’s super easy to do, not everybody wants to take the time everyday to co-wash (or rinse) their hair, add the styling products, and then continue to get ready for their day.
It can seem impossible at first, but it is super easy to do cute styles on old and unwashed hair. It’s important to know your hair and your face so that the styles you try will work for you. If you want some ways to make your wash and go last with some daily styles Natural Neiicy came up with some cool ideas:
Pineapple: Yes, this is the same pineapple that you use to preserve your hairstyle while you sleep, with a twist. The pineapple works great on women with longer hair, because it will frame your face well, it doesn’t take a lot of time, and it looks super casual. Just make sure that you can still see! Gather the hair into a loose pineapple and play with it until it surrounds your face in a flattering way.
Bucket Hat: The bucket hat appears to be in this summer, but you can rock any hat that you want to. Hats are a great way to cover up 3rd day hair, and they also keep your face protected from the sun. If you have really big thick hair just twist back two pieces of hair from the front. This ensures that the hat will actually fit on top of your head, and you won’t have to worry about ugly hat hair!
Double Twist: The double twist is the beginning of an excellent updo, simply part hair from ear to ear and twist. Repeat this on the next section of hair (right behind the first). Gather up your hair into a side ponytail and to make this a protective style just gather your hair in a loose bun with your ends tucked in. If you don’t want this style to go to the side, you can gather the twists, and the rest of your hair up into a high bun or ponytail.
Half Up/Half Down: This is a style that everybody knows about, but it never gets old. This style works well on every hair length, from that awkward in between length down to those of us with longer hair. Gather the top half of your hair in a pony tail, leave the top half in a ponytail and fluff it out for volume, or gather the top section into a bun for a totally different look.
