Tamera Mowry-Housley took to twitter and instagram this week to share her big chop while she was at the salon! If you recall, just a few months back Tia did the same thing.
Honestly it took a little getting used to when I first saw Tia, but after a year of seeing her looking fabulous with short hair, Tamera doing the same thing was a little easier to fathom. Here is what she had to say after her stylist affectionately known as ‘the curl doctor” was done taking the length off:

Tamera did not share her motivation for chopping again, at least not yet, but her curls look great as if the hair cut kinda gave them life. I’m sure you will agree that they look fuller now. Of course Tamera’s praise led to us doing a little research on her stylist.
Turns out Shai Amiel is the’ go to’ curly hair expert who is known for the Devachun cut that he learned from Lorraine Massey and he’s the one who shared the picture above of Tamera’s BC on his own instagram.
Stalking his instagram for a minute will show you that they know curls! He shows off lots of before and after pictures of everything from loose waves to kinky* curls that have been styled and hydrated without silicones for perfect results every time.
Amiel owns Capella salon in California which specializes in all things hair and skin, so if you like Tamera’s cut and you are every in L.A at least you know a stylist to consider. *wink*

she was alot more culier @Angela Forehand I’d say she had a curl pattern like Mahoganycurls. Remeber the show Sister Sister ? Tia and Tamera kept their hair natural but as they got older they styled it straight…. and I guess the heat damage messed up her pattern

Everyone has different big chops and she has been natural a while so this is definitely her big chop and I love it. It takes me back to her Sister Sister days.
Cute to me! She said she was transitioning out of the heat damage and she did it. Nice curls. Everybody’s natural is different and the definition of big chop to one person may be different than another persons as well. It’s all good either way because she has healthier hair now 🙂

Anyone considered this may be a “big chop” to her? To some people cutting off any amount of hair is a big deal. I know I get nervous when I get my hair trimmed. That’s why I opted to grow out my relaxer.
