Okay so before I get into this post, I have to let you guys know that this video is not a recent one (made around a year and some change ago) , but I thought that it would so be worth sharing.
I don’t know about you all, but I personally think that Ledisi and her locs are absolutely gorgeous! And what I love about this video is that Ledisi shares some legit haircare tips.
Even if you are not a loc’d lady, I still believe that her tips can be helpful for everybody. Here Ledisi talks about how she cares for her locs via online mogul MadameNoire.

Leaving her hair alone- I think that this is a motto that a lot of us should follow. Now having hair that is versatile as ours; it’s kind of hard just to leave it alone. I mean from wand curls to crochet braids to blow outs, our natural hair is just something that is meant to be a canvas for an abundance of hairstyles.
Even though all hair regimens and rules can differ among all of us, I believe, along with Ledisi, that leaving the hair alone is vital to increasing retention and having less damage all around.
Sticking to Products That Work- In the interview Ledisi mentions that she uses Carols Daughter, Design Essentials, and an aloe moisturizer that was made by a neighbor of her moms.
She has been using this since she started her locs and continues to use it till this day. Now don’t get me wrong: I believe that it is great to try out different products, but when you have that tried and true, hold on to that baby! Unless the formulas change for the worse (ugh, I hate when companies do that) then that might mean it’s time to go on another product hunt.
