WHATTTTTTT?!?!?!?! HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN!!??
Anonymous says
???? how sway?
Anonymous says
She need her butt whooped ????
Anonymous says
Right ?!?! This came from nothing but gross neglect of personal health. She overlooked her actual health and kept putting weaves on her head despite it literally splitting her head open. And this was gradual, it didnt just happen overnight. Like sis what is your life
Anonymous says
Smdh just throw the whole head away ????
Anonymous says
This just nasty
Anonymous says
Soo. Weaves didn’t take your hair. You letting tom dick and Harry play in your head took your hair out. Smh
Anonymous says
Exactly
Anonymous says
Right!
Anonymous says
My thoughts exactly.
Anonymous says
There you go
Anonymous says
This title is very misleading. It wasn’t the weave, it was her carelessness!
Anonymous says
Weaves, like makeup know when to take it off and give your body a rest…
Anonymous says
If someone can’t do hair.. I’m stopping them, if someone is braiding my hair too tight l will tell them and I’m takiing it out.. looks like she did leave it in too long and got a fungus / bacteria..
Anonymous says
????????????????
Anonymous says
Tea tree oil
Anonymous says
Right
Anonymous says
The topic is too extra! I watched the video and She complained about the person who did her hair did them braids so tight in the middle
Anonymous says
Plz Watch the video
Anonymous says
Yh it’s also her fault and she clearly said the girl wasn’t that new to doing it so she knew what she was getting into
Anonymous says
That moment a person asks a question answered in the video. ????
Anonymous says
First of all you cannot leave a weave in your hair for three months or longer that’s ridiculous and it’s nasty you have to wash your hair and take the style down that’s her fault
Anonymous says
I didnt hear her say the weave had been in for 3 mo
Anonymous says
O k .. Thanks everybody’s on here voicing their opinions
Anonymous says
???? people need to be a bit more humble. She said 2 months. Fact not opinion. Social media is the personality devil.
Anonymous says
at the most clip on’s. no weaves for me.
Anonymous says
What kind of glue she used SUPER
Anonymous says
????????????????
Anonymous says
LOL
Anonymous says
It damaged your whole damn head hell with some hair
Anonymous says
The title should be “How I messed up my hair”
Anonymous says
Right!!!
Anonymous says
Exactly!!!
Anonymous says
????????
Anonymous says
Absolutely!
Anonymous says
Maybe products….but No weave did this…lies..
Anonymous says
Well you can’t everybody in your hair, I have the hard way, but you learn, but this right here, she did too much, your hair could only take so much pulling, frying, and dying, she did it all!
Anonymous says
I’m not sure her hair is going to grow back ♀️
Anonymous says
She don’t deserve hair after what she’s been doing to it geezzz
Anonymous says
I mean what’s the point in buying hair then going to someone’s kitchen to get it in. Also she’s still talking about wearing wigs. Her head needs to breathe or the hair will not grow back!
Anonymous says
I was just watching this video yesterday. Sadly she’s not the only one. There’s women all over IG with horrific scalp damage and alopecia from poor chemical application, poorly done weave installs, and braids. I was shocked and confused!
Anonymous says
Wow, IS THIS RARE?
Anonymous says
She done this to herself. She didn’t care about her hair for the sake of weave. If someone braid too tight…Stop them. Take the braids out. She left them in and for a long time. She didn’t care about her natural hair at all and this is common with black women who love weave. Some of them don’t care what the natural hair look like underneath the weave.
Anonymous says
Exactly!!!
Anonymous says
Yeah I watched the video. This was her own fault. Hopefully she does better this time around.
Anonymous says
So true
Anonymous says
Exactly. How could she live with the pain you are so right
Anonymous says
Sad but true. One of my classmates had a rats or snake nest on her head.. she had the nerve to say I had it for almost a year it still looks good.. I said no.. it don’t
Anonymous says
Yea if you braid my hair tight I don’t care how much I paid if I can’t sleep it’s going down
Anonymous says
True. We be brushing somebody else hair meanwhile our is suffering.
Anonymous says
Facts
Anonymous says
Yep, when I wore weaves, I wore then ALL the time. Even glue ins. And I never had any issues of scalp damage or hair loss. I made sure my scalp and hair were healthy and taken care of under my weave.
Anonymous says
Exactly, well said
Anonymous says
That’s actually why I learned how to do my own hair. No matter what I did the hair dressers would always braid it way too tight, I’d have to fight them not to pull my hair so tight smh
Anonymous says
Exactly!
Anonymous says
That’s not true
Anonymous says
This will only happen if your braids are too tight. Sorry this happen to you and you look stunning
Anonymous says
How YOU severely damaged your hair
Anonymous says
Yeah, she did a clickbait ♀️ She ruined her hair by letting everybody and they mama mess in it
Anonymous says
From my understanding, weaves takes a lot of maintenance to keep it clean and clear of bacteria organisms that can harm your scalp….
Have to be able to afford the upkeep or you’ll end up like her. However, if she was going to a professional hairdresser, she should been made aware of the condition of her scalp and not encouraged to continue forward. These “garage shop” beauticians only concerned with getting paid…expensive lesson to learn.
Anonymous says
Thats exactly why i stick to wigs now and go natural from time to time no shame in my game my hair is growing without weave
Anonymous says
I wore weaves and braids for years and I still have a head full of hair cuz I took care of my hair and went to pros who knew what they were doing. It might cost more but you get to keep your hair
Anonymous says
Yea i normally just wear wigs now i wore weaves and braids too but i just decided to go natural braided my hair underneath i even tried threading my hair is perfectly fine it actually grew more
Anonymous says
And I’m sorry to say that everybody that works in a shop cannot do hair they just passed their state board and they remember their Theory
Anonymous says
Facts!! And I wish that if something is not their area of expertise, they would be honest and say so, instead of trying to make every dollar they can at the risk of ruining someone’s hair.
Anonymous says
True$!
Anonymous says
If you listened to the whole video, you’d known it wasnt all the stylist fault. This girl ALSO didn’t take care of her hair. She continued to damage it with all that heat and braiding. Eventually yes, your hair will give out. That was quite a ridiculous statement
Anonymous says
Her braids were too tight she probably was not taking care of her hair you have to take your hair vitamins you have to drink lots of water you have to do deep conditioning you have to do n trimming come on now
Anonymous says
Just saw this video last night. Sad. But she’s very open about it and honest. That shit takes guts to just be torn down. I’d be damned if anybody touches my head. Hell I hate getting my hair cuts especially cuz the stylist always wants to cut off more than what we agreeed on
Anonymous says
Weaves are too expensive, not fooling anyone and you can ruin your hair to the point of no return , if it’s in the wrong hands. I work my butt off dealing with my natural hair. No matter what I do , it will break if it feels like it. It just comes with kinky hair. It’s so unfair!!! Not the texture, but retaining length. My hair is long, but unless I BEAT it into submission, you would never know it. I would have loved to have EASY long barbie doll hair (provided it was thick) hair. Since that wasn’t in the cards for me. I love the hair that God wanted me to have, regadless of how it makes me feel.
Anonymous says
Girlllllll!!! Talk about Tonka truck strong thats who you are. Thanks for sharing your experience many women have had hair trauma like your or worst. You have taken lemons and made lemonade to be sipped in the shade. You are sooooo cool about the experience . You have learned and are ready to move on. Yesssss your beautiful, flawless skin, pretty make-up you can carry the look. Keep your head up and continue to remind Tonka truck strong, u rock!!!
Anonymous says
She sounds stupid
Anonymous says
She actually took responsibility for how her hair/head ended up and YES it is growing back with no problems. She admitted that she lost her edges cause she didn’t care how her hair looked since she was wearing weaves. She also admitted to being lazy and cheap and thus causing her own problems. The top pic is her head the one on the bottom isn’t, idk why she included that one. I guess nobody actually watched the video (and there’s an update).
Anonymous says
Excatly. .I saw her on YouTube too…
Anonymous says
If too tight braid did this . My scalp must be made of steel then Jayy Nee. DaMica’ Jlove Pridgen
Anonymous says
Exactly braids are supposed to loosen as time goes with them braids for that weave ????
Anonymous says
right. I think it’s bacteria or fungus
Anonymous says
From what not washing or ?
Anonymous says
It can come from washing your weave and not properly drying your hair underneath . Or not washing the weave( hair ) before putting it in your hair
Anonymous says
Oh makes sense … Make me wanna take my shit out ineed my underneath hair Lord
Anonymous says
I don’t keep mine in pass a month or a month in a half . I know by then my hair definitely need a wash.
If you do wash it with weave in you have to sit under a dryer for a long time
Anonymous says
Kmt u mean how u mash up u head n hair wid weave
Anonymous says
This Why I Don’t Do FAKE!! 😮
Anonymous says
Ain’t no way a weave did that
Anonymous says
This is why I don’t trust anybody with my hair and especially my daughter. I’m teaching her how to love her & maintain her naturally.
Anonymous says
Pretty girl. Glad she figured it out and saved her scalp.
Anonymous says
Nope being careless destroyed your hair
Anonymous says
Love your own hair
Anonymous says
I’m sorry that this happened to you and she’s right weaves can cause this issue with the braids being extremely too tight, I have gone to a beautician and spent over $200 on a weave and stopped them because the braids were too tight but then they didn’t really know how to sew and the sewing was too tight and you go about your way
thinking that it will loosen up but by the time I got home it was no way I was going to take that pain so I spent $200 and came right home and took it out within the next 3 hours but that’s because I can’t take pain but it hopefully it will grow back she definitely needs to see a dermatologist.
Anonymous says
Don’t blame it on the weave.
Anonymous says
Go to the Doctor
Anonymous says
I agree. That looks BAD!
Anonymous says
Women we are beautiful let be natural and do not exagerate
Anonymous says
Boyyyyyy
Anonymous says
How did it get like that? Did she leave the weave in too long? Don’t blame the weave. Maybe she didn’t take care of it!
Anonymous says
The hair is cursed ladies. It’s cursed to make you go bald. Please don’t wear they’re nasty hair.
Anonymous says
I agree this is self damage women been wearing weave for years this is horrible..
Anonymous says
This is why I tell the person braiding, tight braids give me headaches, and I have a tender head, if it is tight, I take it out! If the braider care, she will listen.
Anonymous says
Looks like those eyebrow pencils and lashes are also fixing to damage your eyebrows and eyes too.
Anonymous says
Especially those mechanical eyelashes
Anonymous says
With all the damage that weaves did to her head, she still did not think twice about using a sharpie and broom on her face. The witches who are doing her are wearing tempurpedic foam padded canvas.
Anonymous says
Well too much glue. Is not good especially when you leave it in for a long time
Anonymous says
That hair glue is the devil
Anonymous says
Her fault for not taking care of it properly!
Anonymous says
Her damn scalp was allergic to that synthetic shit. She crazy.
Anonymous says
lol these comments
Anonymous says
Sorry this happened to her but I don’t know who was putting her weave in and removing them!! Wow
Anonymous says
She’s rocking that bald head she looks nice!! “Wakanda forever” love it
Anonymous says
Read some of the comments, negative as usual. She owned up to the fact she did it to herself. I think she is brave to have posted it for people to scrutinize and hurl the negativity her way…like now. With that being said be careful who you let mess with your hair.
Anonymous says
She’s so beautiful I feel so sorry that happened to her but she’s lucky that she’s still very pretty.
Anonymous says
After a while her braids should have loosened up with in two to three days but yes she do have a pretty face she did this to herself you still have take care of your hair no matter if you have weave or not ( and you can’t have everyone in your hair)
Anonymous says
Self hate of your hair will be very costly for your scalp health and hair growth. Her scalp is infected with bacteria from the constant pulling and sewing in of weave. Also u can tell she left the weaves in too low without giving her scalp a break from abuse. Wake up black Women you were not born with silky straight hair down to your ass!!! The chemicals and dirty hair bacteria can enter your blood system and cause havoc on your immune and bodily organ systems. Stop killing yourself for white people hair and features.
Anonymous says
Females need to realise that in between weaves you still have to shampoo and deep condition their hair, moisturize before applying the next weave- do and braids don’t have to be tight to be done right
Anonymous says
I was unable to get the video to load…thanks everyone for sticking to the point of the article/video as I had to rely on the comments to get the jest of it.
Anonymous says
We are not our hair!! You are beautiful!! Thanks for having the courage to share your hair journey!
Anonymous says
O well
Anonymous says
Naw boo you did that the lies the lies
Anonymous says
Oh now y’all understand, you don’t need someone else’s hair sewn on top of yours,Now look how beautiful this Queen is naturally..Stay natural Sisters.
Anonymous says
Wow.
Anonymous says
It made my hair grow
Anonymous says
I do my own hair. Natural or weave. I take very good care of my hair so I can’t relate to this title.
Anonymous says
Still beautiful. Wakanda forever. ♀️
Anonymous says
damn we as black women need to love our natural hair forget all the fake stuff it’s not worth losing your hair
Anonymous says
You are so beautiful you can rock that shortcut but you can go to the dermatologist and let them figure out what did you do from your back of your head hope everything goes well with you and your hair comes back but you’re beautiful woman
Anonymous says
Thank you for sharing your story it takes a lot of courage! Good luck with your hair growth
Anonymous says
The key is to find someone who can maintain your hair NOT JUST DO HAIR.
Anonymous says
She’s guilty of what many women are guilty of… NOT BEING EDUCATED!! We go to school & get those hours for a reason. These days women are going to the girl with the most videos on YouTube!! I’ve watched many of those videos & couldnt Believe sum of the advice they were giving!! How many of y’all have been to a Stylist & asked to see their License…. I’ll wait! I’ve been doing hair for 30 yrs now & i have never been asked once if I’m Licensed. The non licensed “stylist” doing hair out their kitchen is a dangerous thing. I had a girl come to me with a Staph infection on her scalp from her Home Stylist washing her hair in the kitchen sink where she had just cleaned her chicken! Yes!! Horrible!! Or.. the client that told me that she was arrested cus she was getting her hair done in a house where they were selling drugs!! Things u don’t think about. Not saying that ALL Lic. Stylist will do a great job but u find a stylist who can do a great job with years of experience under her belt & a COSMETOLOGY LIC. Not the girl on YouTube who’s never been to school has no job but plenty of videos!! Come on Ladies. U get what u pay for!!
Anonymous says
Um no. She is to blame.
Anonymous says
Never worn weave and never will..
To each it’s own.
Proud of my natural….
Anonymous says
This is why I do my own, and don’t like doing others hair…
Anonymous says
DAYAM, I didn’t know weaves were that powerful……
Anonymous says
There’s no way that didn’t get irritated she did that to her self no way she just woke up and it was eating at her scalp
Anonymous says
You need to go to a professional dermotologist to treat your scalp properly with the proper medicines, your biggest mistake was letting anybody and everybody experiment on your hair..
Anonymous says
I wish my big sis could see this. She has new hairstyle every week nd its taken already a big amount of her hair. Let ur hair nd ur breath damn it. I thank heaven for Pinterest,it got alot of natural diy that helps with our afros.
Anonymous says
Don’t attack her. She messed up and she admitted it and she is brave enough to show people so they won’t make the same mistake. She knows she messed up…so be easy.
Anonymous says
Man thats all on her. Let her head get like that . Thats ridiculous.
Anonymous says
The title of this needs to be changed. Her hair was not damaged by the weave it was damaged buy the stylist she chose.
Anonymous says
That looks like negligence to me, but who am I. ♀️
Anonymous says
That weave was hot as hell than damn
Anonymous says
That’s a lie
Anonymous says
Weaves & wigs do cause hair loss over time some people may have stronger hair & may not experience as much hair loss as people with weak, thin and or damaged hair.
Anonymous says
She was being cheap & has no one to blame but herself
Anonymous says
They way her scalp is scarred up and parted into sections, she needs to see a dermatologist to check for anything else going on or to see how bad the damage is.
Anonymous says
Dam …for real
Anonymous says
She has no one to blame but herself..
Anonymous says
I’m a true believer in good hair care not “ good hair”, I’ve had people tell me the only reason why my natural hair is bra-strap length is because, I’m fully Haitian. My mom taught me how to do my hair and I built on that.
Anonymous says
We’ve did not do this!!! Lack of weave/hair education did.
Anonymous says
Jesus ..
Anonymous says
You live in them 24/7 that’s why don’t blame the weave blame yourself!!!!!!! Ppl should know when to give their hair a break
Anonymous says
???????????? girl you need to go natural
Anonymous says
I am natural Fred but did you hear her story ? She was natural too the sew-in were too tight
