Red Palm Oil
This oil is gaining popularity among naturals and rightfully so since it has been consumed for over 5000 years according to the American Palm Oil Council. Laden with numerous health benefits, red palm oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the fruit of the Palm Tree although it is less processed and retains it’s red color. It gets it’s red color from the carotenes and rich in Vitamin E* which benefits the hair by promoting cell growth of the hair follicles. This gives you stronger hair and it even deceases hair graying and hair loss.
This wonder oil has antibacterial properties and will effectively cleanse your scalp from dirt and oil. It only has 45% saturated fat ( compare that to coconut oil* with 90%) and a high percentage of monounsaturated fat. In fact, the American Heart Association recommends minimizing saturated fat so for eating it is better out of the two. (Red Palm Oil vs. Coconut oil*).
Well there you have it – four herbs and oils* that you can use if you ever feel like stepping out of the box and trying something a little new.
