6 Years And My Hair Is The Same Length – What Am I Doing Wrong?

We get a ton of emails from women who feel a bit defeated with regards to their hair growth. After a few years of being at the same length, anyone with growth goals in mind would get a little frustrated.

I remember early in my journey I would have this one girl on YouTube who I would compare my hair length too. We started growing out our hair at the same time and if I noticed that her hair was longer than mine I would start to panic and question my hair's whole existence.

Hair envy isn't a joke yall, it is real and many of us have it. At some point, we have to grow up and once we get past the envy we have to just focus on our hair and what our own goals are.

Clip your ends. Your hair is breaking off at the same rate it is growing.

Interesting article and so truthful. When I first started my hair journey back in March 2013, my hair started growing and I had some length. I could see proof that my hair was growing and then all of a sudden, it stopped. I had to stop and think what the heck was going on. Different hair products, not taking my hair vitamins and staying on top of my normal hair regiment may have caused the problems.

I kept a log and updated changes concerning my hair and I may have to go back through it to figure out what I did or haven’t done or what product(s) may have had an affect on my scalp and hair. I don’t mind “starting over again”, but this time make a good firm effort to just be patient and use what works. My hair journey is far from over. My goal is shoulder length hair. My hair is touching the bottom of my shirt collar. My edges were damaged some time ago and my hair is growing back in those areas. (I use Wild Growth Hair Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, I take hair vitamins and biotin. Time, patience, persistence and committment.
