You’ve been wrapping your hair up for years. Your momma wrapped you and your sister’s hair, your grandmama wrapped up your momma’s hair, and many, many women before that in your family have been wrapping their hair.
Wrapping your hair up at night is literally “tradition”. Whether you use a bonnet, scarf, or satin pillow case, you have been wrapping your hair up every night to keep your hair intact and healthy.
I would even see a few memes of women with their scarves and bonnets on, saying that they don’t play about their hair when it comes to sleeping. There is this one meme with a woman in her bonnet saying, “If you haven’t seen her in one of these [bonnet] y’all ain’t real yet!” I wonder, is that true?
Your man may not understand why you continue to wear your scarf to bed or wear your bonnet around the house as soon as you get home.
He definitely wants you to succeed at your goals with your hair as he is your cheerleader in your corner. But! What about at night when your man is feeling some lovemaking is about to happen or that he just wants to spend time with you by playing board games and cards, would you take your scarf off for him?
You may think it is silly for me to ask this question or for you to keep your scarf on if your man says “please take it off for me,” but some women do not give in to that notion.
Instead of thinking, “It’s my hair and I do what I please,” or “he’s just gonna have to love me in my scarf or leave me, deuces!” Try these tips to do a little “give and take” when it comes to the love for your bonnet and the love for your man:
Just take it off when it’s just you two at home
You don’t have to go straight for the bonnet after work. If you have an out style, do a cute bun or a pineapple to keep your hair up, but sexy. Your man may love that style and your hair is out of the way and no manipulation is involved.

Ok. I’m just going to lay this out;
You want some ass? You better get used to the scarf.
Stop being so self conscious and just give up some pussy! That’s all they want in the end. Trying to make it too complicated! Like “Oh what will he think of my Bonnet? Let me wrap myself in cellophane! I know what he want! 24 Inch Long hair like the chick from Coming to America!” Yeah! That’s what I’ll do!” Ladies, we gotta get past this! Stop doing the most and love yourself. If he don’t love you, I promise you boo, there’s one out there who does!
Stephanie Walker says
How is this even an issue? Back in the day, women would go to bed with rollers in their hair and the husband wouldn’t say anything. But then again that was also back when men took women on actual dates….
Olivia C. Jenkins says
I just asked my BF he’s like “Olivia I don’t care about that s**t, you know I like your hair” and went back to watching his movie. Lol. I only wear it when I sleep or have rollers in my hair. So in other words. He don’t care

This article is comedy. I am NOT going to be in a relationship with a man who makes a big deal about me wearing my scarf/bonnet inside the house
Debran Gregory says
I am sure the wifey will say no they don’t bec their husband is comfortable with seeing them in it yet the mistress will say yes the man should always see you looking great in and out of bed. The problem is mistress can sweat out their hair and the man will hand them mobet to get it done but wifey have to split a bill or do without just to get the money and time to do the hair. I am no a wife or a mistress and I require prior notice before anyone visit me. That’s me the woman that thinks people should wear heels to work and then change to flats at work.
Sandra Brooks says
If a man you are dating have a problem with you wearing a bonnet. He’s with the wrong gender.
Danelle Walker says
Rules for men for a happy woman:
#1 Thou shalt not remove bonnet.
#2 If bonnet removes itself during rest, quietly put it back as if it was never off.
#3 Ignore the bonnet as if it’s not there, or pretend it’s a fashionable hat.
#4 Respect the bonnet at all times.
#5 Bonnet=slayed hair in the morning=happy woman
Veronica Reed says
Love it!
