I am on a serious health journey this year, I am talking about whole foods, nothing processed and a ton of exercise. My water could be a bit better, because Lord knows I do not feel like drinking a gallon of anything cold when it is 10 degrees outside.
With every journey things aren’t perfect but sometimes after years of abuse our body can will start to show some signs of recovery even with the smallest changes.
The topic of health and hair is closely related and this year you will hear us mention the value of good health with regard to hair growth, stronger hair and just a better hair journey over all.
In this post we want to identify some scientific facts and just why a healthy way of living can be great for your hair.
If you meet your water goals you will have longer, stronger hair.
The truth about water is that when it nourishes your body, it nourishes all parts of your body including your hair. The question is how? We are not talking about using water topically, which of course always works as a moisturizer but how does drinking water lead to better hair?
One of the main reasons we drink a lot of water is to flush out toxins and things that can cause disease and inhibit cell growth this includes cell growth at the follicle.
In other words water can improve hair growth by creating a clean toxin free environment for your hair and scalp to flourish.
Better health leads to a better you overall
We are not all perfect but when we are feeling great about our self everything benefits from that. I am a true believer in changing the outcome of any situation by looking at it from a positive perspective.
This can get difficult at times when life is hard, but when you have great health its hard not be positive and have a general sense of well being. Your body will physically respond to that and that includes your hair.
Vitamins* and minerals will cause growth
You all hear this over and over again but getting all your essential vitamins* and minerals is what causes growth. The great thing is, everything you need is in the produce section at the super market or at a Farmers Market.
If you want to improve your hair growth rate you need to eat as much plant based foods as your can as well as stay active. Which leads us to another very important thing, and that is exercise.
