Kroeshaar-cherelicePhotos of adorable 7-Year-Old, Cherelice, from Suriname (a small country located off the coast of South America) has been sweeping the nation.

The young model who confidently flaunts her beautiful natural hair has received over 50k combined likes and shares on Facebook.

According to Going-Natural, Cherelice’s mother shared that her daughter’s favorite go to style is wearing her natural hair loose. She also likes braids and the usual natural twist outs that are often seen on other girls her age.

At such a young age, the 7-yr-old takes pride in her appearance and thinks of her hair as a form of expression and exudes confidence while rocking it. She actually refers to her mother’s straightened hair as “fake” and often questions it!

Cherelice often combs her own hair and is constantly looking up new styles for inspiration.

As a natural in front of the camera, she is always ready to strike a pose and has become an internet sensation.

Her mother has taught her that even with all the attention and fame she has received due to her outer appearance, it is most important to have inner beauty and I’m sure she will carry that with her as she grows older.


As a lover of dance and fashion, Cherelice hopes to grow up and become a designer. She already has a drawing pad filled with drawings of added touches of glitter and sequins. She has also handmade a few garments for herself!

A lot can be learned from such a young spirited confident girl. I often highlight the importance of instilling confidence into our young girls with natural hair. It ultimately set the foundation for how they view themselves. If they know they don’t have to alter their hair to be considered beautiful, then that is an important accomplishment!
