How long have you worked as a licensed cosmetologist (or equivalent in your country) and where did you study?
I’ve been licensed in the state of FL & GA for 15+ years.
What is your specialty, relaxed, natural hair, locs or anything special?
My area of specialty consists of Relaxed, Natural hair, Hair color, short cuts and the overall healthiness of my clients hair.
What in your opinion is the most rewarding thing about working as a hair stylist?
I enjoy transforming and revealing the inner beauty in women.
When you meet that customer that has not had a great experience with a previous stylist, how do you make them comfortable while in your chair?
In our consultation, I make sure the client and I have an understanding of their beauty needs and the direction we will take to achieve there desired look during the process we converse to ensure their level of comfort and make sure the beauty needs are being met.
If you could change one thing about the cosmetology industry what would that be?
I’d make sure cosmetologist were required to take hands on cut and color classes at least once a year.
Where do you see yourself a few years from now, what are your goals as a stylist?
My goals are to be a stylist that help develop, empower and build confidence in other stylist that seek growth.
How do you stay motivated and on top of your game?
I attend extended education classes, hair shows, salon mixers, browse social media and network with other likeminded stylist.
