My Name is Laitecia Morton alias “Teshe” Im a licensed cosmetologist located in the Caribbean island of Saint Kitts and Nevis. My salon is ‘Teshe’s World Of Hair Creations’ I specialize in any type of braiding extensions* and natural hair styles.
How long have you worked as a licensed cosmetologist (or equivalent in your country) and where did you study?
I’ve been a license cosmetologist for 11years.
What is your specialty, relaxed, natural hair, locs or anything special?
Braiding extensions*,locs and natural hair styles.
What in your opinion is the most rewarding thing about working as a hair stylist?
working as a hair stylist is great feeling, I became an entrepreneur because the idea of working for someone else never sat well with me. I have always wanted to be in charge of my own destiny.
I’m thankful and I am more excited about the future of my business today than I ever have been. Having such a God blessed talent and such skill I am very grateful.
When you meet that customer that has not had a great experience with a previous stylist, how do you make them comfortable while in your chair?
My customers feeling comfortable and satisfied is my number one priority within my business.
I try to treat every customer with satisfactory service because a happy customer is what keeps me motivated and going each day
If you could change one thing about the cosmetology industry what would that be?
If I could change one thing about the cosmetology industry would be bad customer service and time management.
Where do you see yourself a few years from now, what are your goals as a stylist?
With health and strength provided by God I want to be one of the best, top,and well known hairstylist throughout the region.
I want my business to continue to blossom and only get bigger and better and want to be able to have my hairstyles featured all over the world so that people can see the talent I possess.
How do you stay motivated and on top of your game?
A happy and satisfied customer is what keeps me motivated and going each day and also the overwhelming support of my kids, my family and friends.
