Exposed Bobby Pins Trend

Exposed Bobby Pin Trend

You know what they are going to say right? “Rihanna’s Doobie wrap done started a trend” The question is did she? I am more inclined to say no and that the exposed bobby pin trend has been around way before Rihanna’s infamous red carpet doobie wrap.

With a few women sharing pictures of themselves on instagram rocking Rhianna’s ‘do, it’s probably fair to say that she has “re-sparked” the idea of the exposed bobby pin.

It doesn’t matter though, what matters is that this is one of the most creative things I have seen in a long time and well worth the exposure.

Exposing your bobby pins is a big no no if you want a flawless style but now showing them has become fun and well ‘trendy’. I was first introduced to it by Whitney aka Naptural85, and did a little research myself to see cool intricate designs and ways to wear exposed bobby pins that are pretty unique.

Of course you can make some colorful bobby pins yourself as Whitney explained, so just grab a note card or any card some nailpolish and get to work.

Other cool ways of making them is through color blocking. So using the same technique grab a few pieces of paper and place them on the pins however you see fit to do some color blocking.
