Tina Knowles tried to break the internet this morning with a makeup free selfie showing off her crown and glory free of curls. To be honest before today I did not even know that Ms. Lawson had her own Instagram, where have I been?
The only reason I came across the selfie was because everyone, and I mean everyone re-posted it everywhere and now I am on the band wagon. Sue me!
The 61 year old famous mom posted the above picture with the following caption:
“I woke up like this. My curls from yesterday are replaced with frizz! Yikes,”
After checking out her Instagram, I did notice the picture from ‘yesterday’ which was this one:
Just skimming through her instagram she is not new to he selfie game, we think the fascination with today’s picture had to be the fact that she did it make up free in all her natural hair glory.
The fascination with celebrities posting pictures of what they would look like on a normal basis without the hoopla will always be a thing.
Most of us cannot imagine what it would be like to always be on point all the time, make up, designer clothes, hair done every second of the day.
Imperfection seems to be the order of the day when you want to break the internet and it is sort of refreshing to see celebs embrace it.
As a matter of fact at some point on their Instagram both Knowles daughters have posted makeup free selfies much to their audiences delight.
Beyonce
Beyonce has done a few of these, she has even opted to do photo shoots makeup free, her skin is pretty flawless, no pun intended.
Then there is this one by Solange:
Solange looked just like we would look on any typical Sunday trying to get our hair prepped for the week. Weigh in, how do you feel about celebs doing makeup free, ‘woke up like this’ pictures?
She looks great but this picture looks more like a mugshot.

None of us look like super models when we first wake up and some don’t look like super models ever..she looks good to be 60something.
