A few days ago Kenya Moore took to the gram to promote her new hair care line, Kenya Moore Hair Care. I have seen a few reviews of the products and they seem to be great.
The collection consists of a Growth Repair Shampoo, a Growth Repair Conditioner, a Growth Serum, and a Mask. The packaging is great but to be honest I have not seen the ingredients.
Here is the description on her website:
Introducing Kenya Moore Haircare, designed to grow your real hair longer, stronger & thicker in just one use. Featuring products for all hair types that are sulfate, phosphate & paraben free. And over 95% naturally derived.
Great right?
Now tell me why in the world miss “doing the most Kenya” would post a shower scene trying to prove that her hair is for one real and “trackless” and two growing based on her hair care line. Check it out:
She then added the caption:
It is possible to grow waist length hair you need to start with the proper ingredients and products.
Of course, she had the usual criticisms on Instagram, women calling her hair fake still even after all if that, others saying it really isn’t that serious and some saying that her attempt at linking her products to growth is false advertising.
These days we all know that growth starts from within and with great hair care you can retain the length you get. Personally, I am here for Kenya and the products because she stuck with her goal of launching a line and she did it which is more than many of us can say.
But the shower scene was hilarious! Kenya girl, you really did not have to do that! Have you tried Kenya’s products yet? What do your think?
Shannon Hamilton says
She couldn’t part her hair with a comb?? #extra
Breeanna Davis says
?????????? exactly!
Neki Love Greergirl says
Right!no because that would have gave her an extra 5 minutes of fame not the 15 she needs!
Ashley Blue says
Lol
Shannon Hamilton says
Lmbo ijs… This hunger for attention is ridiculous.
Barbara Jones says
Who gives a f**k,the rest of her is fake as hell!
Sarah Kolliegbo says
Thats her real hair….if u watch watch happen live you will see and know thats her real hair
Sophronia Sang says
Still doesn’t make her fake butt and boobs any more real.
Beverly Martin says
Bull crap
Nadia Boyce says
Who cares.. Go make wigs for cancer patients…. Its hair.
Erica Harrelson says
She still adds pieces for a fuller look
Lavette Alexander says
It’s her hair she can do whatever the hell she wants with HER HAIR.
Bridgett Burt-Coleman says
Who cares!
Lena Killion says
The most over here! Kenya is a black woman with real hair…who gives a ??? I just can’t. My hair grows long and healthy too, what’s the big deal? It is possible!
Crystal Piper says
It’s also rare…..that’s why she posted to prove ppl wrong…
Lena Killion says
That’s the problem having to prove to other people.
Valorie Lowe says
It sure is, tell them!
Valorie Lowe says
My daughters hair is past her butt, most times she sits on it, and it’s not a weave; ALL of her own hair!
Lynnette Kyle Bradley says
Who cares…..
Maupins Gaskin Lynn says
Ya when i buy it, it’s mine too. Lol
Jamie Elaine Reed-Anderson says
Dayum….. Get a life, who cares………
Wendy Whiting says
She really trying to get relevance.
Lorraine Williams says
Fake.
Jamila Kelly says
You all who are hating on her for posting these must not know how annoying it is when people don’t believe your hair is yours. It’s called jealously and she can’t help it if yall can’t relate. Acting like hair isn’t a huge deal in the black community…
Monique Wheeler says
Only insecure women would care if others thought their hair was real or not. When I finally straighten my hair nobody ever believes it’s real and it’s not that damn long. I just shrug, smile and keep it pushin. I don’t let other people’s beliefs or thoughts get to me, I’m grown!
Mis Brown says
I don’t think there is a problem with the fact she wanted to prove it was really the issue was the content of the video. There are more mature and classy ways of doing it, like sitting in front of your dresser/mirror taking a comb and parting your hair, fully clothed I might add. Just saying!
Jamila Kelly says
We do not have our own hair care lines that we use that we use our own hair to promote. We are not celebrities who get torn down by others on the daily. Thats not insecurity when you’re shutting down other people who are insecure so they have to hate on you. Would you buy hair products from someone who doesn’t even have real hair? I don’t think so. She’s not insecure, she’s fed up with the haters who have to much time on their hands. Now a days it seems like everyone has something negative to say about other women…i say things too because I’m done.
A little advice. If you want to think it’s insecurity that’s on you, but please don’t sit around here like you’ve never felt insecure. We all have. It’s called humility and life is do much easier when you have it.
Ashley Blue says
I never doubted her hair length bc I watched her on TV shows as a child but she’s doing the most in that video. Posting a video of yourself taking a show and parting your hair. Also, most natural black women can relate. Black women. Who don’t use chemicals can achieve the same hair length without weaves
Shannon Hamilton says
Aww that’s nice, defending her thirst. And having a different opinion does not mean hate. I really wish we as a society can get past this “hate” nonsense. My issue is that she felt the need to be undressed and in the shower to prove her hair is real. Girl come on!! Like I said, she could’ve parted her hair down the middle and combed it to prove that!
Monique Wheeler says
Jamila Kelly of course we’ve all felt insecure, but as a grown woman I’m not going to go out of my way to prove anything to anyone other than my children!
Nea Mack says
Why not post a several sec video of your hair being parted or pics of it just like other Black female celebs (Tyra B, Toya or Nicki M) who all have equally long hair also has done. I dont think ppl are hating on her theyre just over her thirst for attention. I dont like that she always puts down the women who wear weaves like its a bad thing. She act like she dont wear tracks to give more lift, volume and fullness at times for certain hairstyles. I never questioned her hair but I have questioned her eye color…are they real?
Jamila Kelly says
I don’t think her eye color is real? But i never thought Tinys eyes werev real until i read that she had surgery to make them that color. Who knows
Morgan Denise says
I can’t stand Kenya. I don’t have an issue with her hair or the realness of it, just her personality, which makes her ugly.
Jamila Kelly says
I didn’t really understand any of that Chea Sharone. I don’t really care who or what you are, but if you’re going to act like a child you will be treated like one . ? Please don’t assume anything about me kthx. ?
Valorie Lowe says
I don’t see the big deal about the hair, if you have it then you do, if not then you don’t. Being insecure speaks out, there isn’t any reason to prove about hair. So not important, when I’m sure other things are even better, such as your personality, kindness, caring, thoughtfulness…now those are special important factors.
Neki Love Greergirl says
Kenya needs more attention not validation,I wear weaves and I am natural and my hair is rarely out i get that alot but to make a video showering to prove a point! It’s a little much!
Trina Samuels-Virgil says
Hair may be real but her butt is not! #GirlBye
Melody Prather says
You can wash the weave too just saying.
Sylent Threat says
Um infused hair can be showered…. smh!
Liza Frederick-Gratton says

Angela Cherokee says

Phyllis L Byard says
Me on the right. Yeah! It’s my own hair. Just saying.
Phyllis L Byard says
Her’s not her’s. She has beautiful hair.Oh, but it is her own hair.
Angela Cherokee says
Black women hate so hard……… Loveoneanother Her point is made.
Charlene M Sanford says
If people remembered her from when she was Ms America, they would know her hair was real. I guess she still felt she needed to prove it. I remember thinking she was so beautiful when I saw her win. To bad her attitude doesn’t match her beauty.
Akasha Wimbley says
Smh the jealousy on this post is so sad! Females are so hateful towards each other some people are blessed with good genes, and some are not. People think that mine is fake too but i refuse to let it get to me.That does NOT mean that her flaws have to be pointed out GROW TF UP!
Akasha Wimbley says
It’s my opinion, therefore im entitled to it, and i call it how i see it. Have a good day
Gia Danylle says
With women of ALL races wearing weave, why do black women feel like they have to prove anything?
Hair is simply an extension of who you are, not WHO you are.
Chellbaby Easley says
Only black women care about this kind of stuff, very sad this holds importance in our community
Courtney White says
Who?
Terri Hill- Kinder says
All I will say is the shower scene is extra a simple parted picture of her hair would do if she feels the need to prove it to anyone…However never doubted her hair was real but she has worn extentions in her hair before it was very obvious but why does it matter everyone should do what makes them happy…
FLisa Childress says
She has always had nice hair
Edna Chi Chi says
Hair! hair!! hair!!! hair!!!! hair!!!!!, God people need to grow up. What’s with hair all the time. Its just a part of the body like nails, etc.
Shani Roshay says
Who is Kenya?
Valerie Johnson says
Y’all haven’t been checking for her in a while, something drastic was needed lol!!
Tanika Konyani says
Are we still talking about whether or not her hair is real. Yes black can grow is Kenya’s real…..probably is but who REALLY cares
Jamaican Ak says
Of course you can wash extensions
Cheryl Williams Meeks says
Product advertising that’s all. From what I remember she’s always had long hair
Paulette Mukwenya says
I said to Primrose Mukwenya and she’s adamant it’s not…lol. Guess we just jealous?
Tiffany Ingram says
Hmm, she could’ve proved her point getting her hair washed in a shampoo bowl just the same but she does have everyone talking about it so I guess it was a smart move
Ru William says
lol its her own hair
Thembi Makwe says
Really
Valencia Tellsall says
Girl so what….
Kiesha Mccoy says
I have long healthy hair, & I wear weaves & wigs when I want, because at times it’s just more convenient, & trust me so does she…I’ve seen her on TV it’s not always all her hair…
Fatima Ross says
Smh as long as you know.. geez
Bernie Bee says
who cares?
Harriette Meadows says

Zvikomborero Zuze says

Ebonie Ogletree says
Nothing worse than a wet thirsty broad…
Annette Daniel says

Melodee Mathews Johnson says
Nobody cares…. Have a seat
MissRachel Campbell says
why show the world? you didnt have to.
Judy Alexander says
Really who gives a f***
Elle Dot Ingles says
Her hair is beautiful, but what I dont understand is why people feel the need to go to such lengths to prove something to someone else…it’s never that serious!
Vedejah Scroggins says
I’m not being ugly but I’m not really impressed I know so many women including myself who can grow good long hair I need to know the health of her hair doesn’t matter the length
Nissi DeNas says
FCK her! Nobody gives a s**t! Rude, ugly btch!
Regina Burgan says
she just wanted someone to see her.in the shower.. I for one don’t care whether her hair is hers or not.. just to get attention, keep her name out there.. I never cared if people thought my hair was mine or not… not important in the real scheme of things..
Lisa Turner says
I’m not understanding the need to prove her hair is real in the shower Why even worry about what people that aren’t paying to get her hair done thinks…
Sandra Brooks-Harris says
It seems she must have acceptance and validation from ppl. And she’ll lose her mind.. because it’s impossible to please everyone. It’s about pleasing yourself! Like you said.. Who gives a hoot… It’s just hair?
Lisa Turner says
Exactly!! Can’t please everyone so why try. Especially people she doesn’t even know. In the shower though….?I’m sorry, call me slow but I don’t get it
Sandra Brooks-Harris says
It’s doing too much? Someone needs to remake that song by India.. “I’m Not My Hair” because it’s so true
Felisha Marie says
People wash weave…
Christine Atchison says
I agree with you Lena Killion, my.hair is long as.well !!!
LaTorya M. Robinson says
Who gives a F**k?
Valorie Lowe says
That doesn’t prove anything, explain how on one show it was a certain length, and the next week the length was way past her shoulders? Girl by!
Valorie Lowe says
Well she has been so rejected by her mom, it shows. So she finds ways to brag, but when you’re an evil person, hair really doesn’t matter.
Linda Keenon says
Thirsty
mibtp says
I normally would not care whether her hair is real or not; but promoting hair care products, if it isn’t,opens her up for lawsuits. She is also someone who has no problem with lying. Remember on The Apprentice where she took Vivica’s phone and sent out a horrible tweet, then bold-faced lied at the table about it? So even if her hair is real, products good, I wouldn’t support anyone like that.
Theresa Keene says
