Girl I just got my life with this video because hair jewelry is everything to me, but I have been too scared to rock it. Why? My hair is super duper fine and if any of those pointy parts got stuck in my hair it would be almost impossible to untangle my hair without snapping or cutting it.
Now if you are uneducated like me to simple innovative ways to rocking certain styles because you just aren’t feeling particularly creative, then YouTube is the solution.
In the below video Mini Marley shows us 4 ways to rock hair jewelry using specific styles to compliment the pieces as well as keeping your hair safe while you wear them.
Here are three tips to consider when wearing hair jewelry:
1. Try to pick pieces that have hair attachments
It might be tempting to improvise with jewelry from your own collection that are meant to be worn around your neck but that might cause your hair to get caught in the piece. Some forms of innovation are just not worth it!
2. Allow your hair to clump
When you are creating a style for your jewelry ensure your hair is clumped in some manner. This might mean using gel for a wash and go and shingling your hair. Separating very little of the curls.
Or this might mean a style that has most of your hair slicked back into a ponytail or bun. It is ten times easier for a single strand to get tangled in a piece when it is free and unclumped than it is when your hair is a couple of strands together.
3. Step outside of your comfort zone
Hair jewelry is hot this Summer and if you have not tried one it wouldn’t hurt to purchase at least one that you like and trying it out.
When you wear it, depending on how extravagant yours is, it might be the only thing you decide to wear in terms of an accessory.

I haven’t tried hair jewelry but i want too. I too have been worried about that single strand knots that will come in and take over. But having my hair in a protective will make hair life easier to avoid that.
