Okkkaaay lol…I’ve seen it happen time and time again with ppl ik. And don’t go to the African braiders, cuz when you leave their shop, you leave your edges behind too, and half ya skull, with them heavy hands they got lol.
My mom can actually snatch your brains up and braid them. Lol. Super short hair is her specialty. Lawd I would rather slap some gel on it and lay it down than sit through that process. Lol
I believe this style is called micro mini. I actually had this done in my teen years. They are tiny and tight so I took them out before my hair came out with them. But they are nice.. And expensive.
Omg! I learned the hard way. Micros snatched my edges and are just now making a come back.. I wore them all the time. Not good. Cute tho, but I’ll pass
Honestly a lot of ppl forget that the care or lack their of taken on the clients part affect their hair heath as well. Even moderate braids can cause breakage if kept in too long, always worn in tight ponytails or neglected.
I think that the wrong person braided their hair..it’s about getting someone who isn’t going to pull too tight and handles the braid technique with care..I’ve been getting my hair braided off and on for over fifteen years now and don’t have a problem
The person doing her hair has skills. However, I personally would not get microbraids if my hair were this length simply because it isn’t healthy. I would just let nature take its course and give my hair lots of TLC so it will grow.
I’m saying it because it’s my opinion as everyone has one. I am not being judgmental. I simply stated my preference! Which means I’m referring about myself! I say it isn’t healthy for the scalp because of the tension that is being put on already fragile hair and scalp. She may suffer from alopecia and there are treatments for this condition. So, I’m not saying that the style itself is unhealthy I’m talking about the tension. I feel that you telling me to HUSH is RUDE! Can’t we agree to disagree? With that being said. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Micro braids don’t take your hair out unless you pull it out..I’ve worn micro for thirteen years..you massage your scalp with oil and try not to pull your hair back until it’s been braided a least three weeks…I love them..
I wear the Senegalese myself. I get a full set every 3 months and plenty of touch ups throughout that time and I don’t have a problem. Yes there is some breakage, but our hair shed daily.
Is this her hair before the braids was installed? It’s cute…some people just know how to braid with no stress to the hair causing no breakage. (Wish I was this good lol) My neighbor is a professional braider and is VERY GOOD.
This is horrible, i would not want to go to a stylist who would do this to a clients head. Granted they did a great job, but this is bg far the wrong style for her.
That’s why it’s down to tha white meat now. She needs to let her scalp and what’s left of her hair recuperate. Stay out of her head for a few year’s.
Po thang. =[
I braid and wear braid. My hair is extremely long. I have braided people hair same length and kept braiding it. Whose to say that it’s not healthy for her hair. It actually is as long as it’s taken care of.
This is a horrible idea for the client!! Better massage that scalp with castor oil and rosemary and throw a wig on. Shoot. This will ruin the little bit she has
It’s not healthy at all even if they are properly taken cared of. My hair was in knots after taking mines out. I had more hair on the floor than on my head but thank God I don’t mind doing the big chop at all. Love my nappiness!!!
It is worth is for this young lady. Like others said she could have alopecia or her hair just doesn’t grow and this makes her feel good about herself. Braids can be healthy if she takes care of them correctly. I think it looks great if she likes it I love it who am I to judge
It look nice. Yes they are skillful. In BRAIDING. But it won’t LADT because parts of hair is too short. If she grease that hair. Then try to pull up in a bun.. braid slide right out. All gone in 2 weeks., I KNOW. IVE DONE IT.
To me its not worth it her hair is already damaged and this is going to cause a lot more damage in the end… I’m speaking from experience . Sometimes you just need to let your hair rest…
Some women aren’t able to be blessed with a head full of of hair, this can be caused by many things, stress, thyroids ect. Any whoo all women deserve to feel beautiful. So if that means rocking this style for a short period of time, kuddos to her..
I wouldn’t have done that I would have cut all my shut off n start over.. But it’s cute n neat. But hey it’s her head, hell everybody ain’t able.. She must had to pay big lol
I can grip hair this short just like that. The braids don’t appear too tight & they are securely in her hair. Her hair could’ve possibly fell out due 2 an over processed perm. All she need 2 do is keep her hair moisturized & make sure that she stick with this braider because those braids are not too tight & the braider is not heavy handed.
I’m not tryna be messy at all… But she has no business with micros…AT ALL! It’ll pretty much never grow. She should just take the L and chop it all. But major props to the braider. Mad skill
Talent but not healthy her hair won’t grow like this. She needs to focus on healthy hair care then once she gets at least a few more inches then try this
You have to take care of your edges when braided. Avoid small and tight braids. Cowash, moisturize, and oil your scalp! Most people lose their edges due to poor hair care more than anything else. Smh. #stepyourhairgameup.
This makes me wna tk my braids out Lol. Because their kinda small Lol. But bigger than what I Normally do. Earleesa V. Daniel my hair is thick. I’m scared of my hair ever being thin.
BHI..you seem to really have an issue with posting people’s personal hair issues on here to ‘entertain’ . Aren’t you suppose to be in the business of HELPING people to love their hair? Your topics seem like they are all written by BITTER..JEALOUS. .or IMMATURE BUSYBODIES! This is the 2nd story of yours TODAY. .that was written to mock and humiliate an unsuspecting woman because of HER hair. GROW THE F**K UP ALREADY.
I’ve absolutely never heard of micro braids being unhealthy for hair. & I’ve cut my hair plenty of times & grew it back with the help of micro braids! Smh & I’m natural
If they’re too tight, it’s highly unhealthy and can cause traction alopecia. That’s when you have to learn how to open your mouth and communicate with your stylist (as well as yours kids’ stylists) because some of them braid entirely too tightly.
I hate that people are saying braids are not healthy they actually are it will grow her hair all she has to do when it gets old to take it down. Braids only take out people hair when they leave it in forever and the hair is hanging by strings pulling out the edges all she has to do is take care of her hair and keep the ends cut it will grow even with it being very damaged
If yall think hair styles are the only reason a person loses hair you better get back to reality before you find yourself with a unexplained hair loss or baldness whether it be from hormones or disease
If her stylist knows about her hair condition why would she even attempt to do the braids? Shouldn’t she have been consulted first or do most just do what their clients ask of them…
Unfortunately everyone has there own opinions and preferences. Can you imagen how much better she feels after this install. Not only that she may actually be in the growing back phase . she could have suffered for something prior to this hair length. But…what difference does it make if her hair is laid lol as most people say…..
Society has made her uncomfortable with wearing her hair length as well as these comments.
However…Great job stylist you did a fantastic job ….and honeyyyyy wear you hair.
Fun fact* no hair style is considered healthy if you do not maintain it or even know how…sew ins, any braids, quick weaves, triple silk press, wraps, even natural afro can be a bad chose for someome who not a hair expert
Hey perhaps her hair is starting to grow back after chemo or she started over being natural. Who knows, but those braids are cute. The stylist has talent! I think any braids can pull anyone’s hair regardless.
I got my hair kinky twisted years ago at an African braiding shop….I was crying as I and my cousin were taking them out of my hair because my hair was also coming out right along with the twists…I vowed to never get that done again & my daughters are not allowed to get their hair micro braided or styled that tiny. Lesson definitely learned.
a wig would have been better to keep her hair protected and not put all that stress and strain on it braiding it but if it makes her feel better about herself for a little while and that is one less thing worrying her then im all for it
curly hair has the ability to stretch and return to size, it’s called elasticity the hair of Africans can withstand this hairstyle and benefit from it if they steer clear of the white man’s chemicals… our hair is very adaptable!
my natural hair loves to be pulled, she will have new growth in about a week that will loosen these braids, until then all she needs to do is wear loose ponytails
Not being negative but being a licensed Cosmetologist and braider for over 17 years.. not just that her hair is short but thin .. braids too small .. this can can cause more hair loss (traction alopecia) over time this is not healthy… Speaking from experience that’s all no shade thrown
Whoao, no it isn’t. I recently removed my sew in and my hair is mucch thinner and lost length. W e have to be careful when it comes to these particular style. Oh man I feel disappointed for her.
Those poor lil edges are barely there as is. They won’t last long, the braids are either gonna slide out itll just shed out from the tension. And I can imagine the hurt she went thru to get em done, and small at that. AINT NO WAY!!! #PRETTYTHO
Those edges are barely there as is, and they won’t last long. Either the braid is gonna slide right out from not having much to hold on to, or the synthetic(which is harsh because its plastic) hair will cut straight thru it, cuz its added tension aside from the braiding process itself. And I can only imagine the pain she went thru and the time and money invested to get them done. Never been a fan of micros for myself bt they are pretty to look at. Kudos to the braider tho, she did that!! I’m a stylist, and I wldnt even attempt that. Did em im my younger yrs, bt the strains on the wrist over time, aint cute at all. So I refer anyone who calls me abt braids, to someone else lol. #nicelydone
First before she got the braids she should of treated her hair like a good trim… The braids and the size of them are going to break her hair off more. No shade or hating but she will not have any hair once they are taken out!!
Natrual is way go..online got great information ways u can grow healthy hair : african American natrual hair treatments also youtude is great depends video careful on YouTube.. Alot video stars on YouTube help many girl grow natrual hair back..
Shareta Riley. She not suffering hot flashes, I think she not as bald as you think smh short hair don’t mean bald?? smh just mean hair is short. Young woman (need do in post get hair treatment go natrual leave her hair alone smh) sometimes I think pulling does girls hair out (house rules). Stay there stuff hater!!
Again: short hair dont mean bald you have full thick and short or long short hair natruals short dont always mean bald headed,, just because ppl dont see your natrual hair dont you aint bald under your weave or lace front smh fake it until you make it honey who you fooling smh trying be cute behind your computer bald as u wana be lol judge ppl hair really?? Get a life!!
Listen… I’m team natural all the way, her hair looks very soft..so when you braid short soft hair it tends to loosen up due to it becoming wet, either rain, taking a shower or sweating… not laughing or talking down on her. Bless her little heart for going thru this. Like I said Good Luck
Janine Smith???? thought she was bald before she ain’t go have shit on her head by the time them braids come out ????????♀️…. But whoever did the braids got a amazing grip. Hair was shorter than minute rice
I was friends with someone who had hair like this. She got these little tiny braids over and over and over again and she actually has a full head of hair now. Not only did it jumpstart her confidence, but it helped with hair growth. If you aren’t comfortable doing it as a stylist, doesn’t mean that somebody else won’t. And just because you don’t think it’s good for YOUR hair doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else’s. This takes talent, precision and patience. Everybody always has something negative to say.
Shameka Sells the scalp in this picture looks the hair attached is damaged. I’m sure the braid are why the person’s hair is this way. Wig are a better option????????
Tahira Buckman I’m not sure how to respond about your almost BSL hair. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to kudos that, especially since it isn’t anything that is uncommon. So…congratulations? I guess….Also, you COMPLETELY missed the point of my comment, seeing as though you responded with what you did/would do with YOUR hair. I specifically said, “And just because you don’t think it’s good for YOUR hair doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else’s. Your almost BSL hair doesn’t make you an expert on the hair of others’. But thanks though. ❤️
Kathy Johnson Jordan that’s not “obvious” at all. You got all of that from a caption? That caption could easily mean, is it worth the time, effort and attention. Again…assumptions. The thinned edges and hair and red scalp can be the result of ANYTHING and this is the fix. Also, read my comment again. It doesn’t speculate about how this happened. It gives testimonial of what I have seen.
Her hair doesn’t actually look damaged, besides the front, it just looks short- like it’s growing out of a short or tapered cut… I still wouldn’t touch it, but a real good stylist would know how to adjust their hands… I don’t think these micro braids are good for anyone’s hair though
For some people yes. This is not a good example for everyone. I had micros for years and I have a head full of hair today. It’s about how you take care of your scalp with the braids in, the quality of the person doing the braiding and how you take care of your hair between braiding sessions.
Jamika Maldonado it depends on your hair and scalp. For me I do a lot of hot oil treatments with olive and coconut oils and essential oils. Maybe you could put it in an applicator bottle to apply it to your scalp.
It’s clearly worth it for this lady and well done to the hairdresser amazing skills ….This lady may have suffered hair loss/ thinning through illness for all we know and to most ladies ( like me) their hair is their crowning glory and just because someone’s hair is thin etc doesn’t mean time is wasted on making it look the best it can look either by hair extensions or anything else……I bet this lady walked outta that place feeling like a million dollars and her confidence levels through the roof…????????????
braids do help your hair grow even if you have short hair I had really long hair but it wasn’t healthy so I had cut it down and for the last five months I’ve had braids in my hair and my hair has grown a lot so I told myself for the next two years imma just wear braids and see how much healthier my hair can be as since I’ve had braids my hair is much healthier
Wow
Yes
Damnnnn
Is this before & after pics? Or that’s what she was working with before????
i need to find who braided that
Must be. They look nice!
Wow!!!! Looks great.
So not healthy tho!!
no, perm isn’t healthy, you people sound retarded
Definitely not worth it
toooooo small wow its gua take forever
The stylist has talent by far, but this isn’t healthy for the client at all.
NOW PROVE WHY THIS ISN’T HEALTHY?
Nice but who going to take them out though
With this style … you say bye to your hairline before you even get it done
Hmmmmm what women go through in the name of vanity kaiiiiiiiii #TheDevilIsALiar
Baby oil and heat will slide those little thing right on out!
She ain’t got to worry about who go take them out cause she ain’t go have no hair when they come out
no need to worry about who gon take them out; they gon fall out!
I was thinkin the samething fall out one at a time start in the middle
lmao word! Its going to take days!
If it were me, I’d grease it, wet it n snip!!! 🙂
She can just shave them off and be right back where she started
Lol she can cut it to the roots not much to loose
Wow!!!!
Looks good…mines are that small…I just redo the edges every month…You gotta know how to take care of it in order to avoid hair loss
Yes looks nice
Hope she’s not wondering why she don’t have hair !!”
Lol this is a tragedy!
Seriously!
THIS IS NOT WHY SHE DOESN’T HAVE HAIR, i’m confused about you people’s comments, she will have more hair when she takes these down!
Okkkaaay lol…I’ve seen it happen time and time again with ppl ik. And don’t go to the African braiders, cuz when you leave their shop, you leave your edges behind too, and half ya skull, with them heavy hands they got lol.
Wow now that’s talent
My mom can actually snatch your brains up and braid them. Lol. Super short hair is her specialty. Lawd I would rather slap some gel on it and lay it down than sit through that process. Lol
I laughed out loud. “Snatch up brain” too through
I totally understand lol. When my aunt braids you better have the motrin on standby she will grab your pores.
Wow Talent!
Wow. That’s great work.
Not worth it nor is it healthy.
She got skills…thats for sure!
Yes it looks good
Bad friggin idea!!!
I believe this style is called micro mini. I actually had this done in my teen years. They are tiny and tight so I took them out before my hair came out with them. But they are nice.. And expensive.
Hell no it’s not!
No. Get a wig or a hat.
why get a wig, those are not healthy
Better than braids, they’ll only make it worse. Just go au naturaleè
I’m confused was her hair that damaged before the braids??
Wooow, great job!!!!
Omg! I learned the hard way. Micros snatched my edges and are just now making a come back.. I wore them all the time. Not good. Cute tho, but I’ll pass
Looks lovely but definitely not worth it! Too much strain on her hair… A break is needed.
What little is there will be broken off by the time you take them out!
I’m sorry this is the funniest thing!
No way !
Wowww
Sooo I’m Gona bet my money on chemical damage
Yea. Its nice. She wanted braids so some very skilled person gave her just that.
How
No
Cute
Iam speechless!!!!
She payed a grip fo dat
My head hurts just looking at this. Let it go and slick it back with some gel. It will take 40 days and nights to take them out.
Honestly a lot of ppl forget that the care or lack their of taken on the clients part affect their hair heath as well. Even moderate braids can cause breakage if kept in too long, always worn in tight ponytails or neglected.
I WOULD CRY CRY CRY!!! Untill my hair grow back
I have big forhead anyway so I need my edges. Got micros one time and never will do it again. She got skills tho.
She’ll have less hair when and if they ever come out!
She’s has some good finger tips
Damn that’s some work right there…they should last a while at least
Smh ouch. But it looks nice
Nice but it’s breakable easily due to very short hair
No
Damn you got skills. Catching that
Talented but I’m not doing it for the vine.
If she wants it, she should get it
she probably straightened her hair first… thats what happened to me. never straightening my hair again
Nope
Somebody gave her LIFE !
Who’s helping her take it down??
I think that the wrong person braided their hair..it’s about getting someone who isn’t going to pull too tight and handles the braid technique with care..I’ve been getting my hair braided off and on for over fifteen years now and don’t have a problem
I kno they charge a thousand dollars for this.
Good grip, its pretty tho.
That’s gonna take all her hair out!!!
Great job but no thanks!
#skills
Dame she good
Hell naw
For this person it is worth it. Whoever is doing it is doing an awesome job!
The person doing it is doing an awesome job , it will tear the hair out! It’s to short and too fine! Just taking them out will ruin the hair!
She don’t have hair the stylist is the real MVP for doing all those braids so she can have hair
not so she can have hair, but she can grow hair while not feeling inadequate!
Yeah but in this picture she has a pixie lol
That’s how mines look and I’m doing it lol
Nope not worth it at all!
Very very talented to be able to braid that she has EXCELLENT SKILLS
God is good!! But this is pure crazy.
No way….it’s way past time to fade that up
Yes…it will help
He’ll yes it’s worth it.
Wow
Let’s not judge the length of her hair. She may suffer from alopecia. So many women/ little girls suffer from that disease in silence.
How is this even possible
Id braid it but that b###ch would have to pay me 500$
I wonder how long this took to get done…she has to take this down within a few days or else she will definitely be bald
It is pretty, but everything that’s pretty ain’t healthy!
I’m done
Holy She Did A Good Job On Her Head…How Did She Even Get The Hair To Stick On Her Head Lil But If Hair Like Tht…Give Her Propos…
Oh wow thats some skills
Lawd that looks painful.
Yes, I will never ever do micro braids…my hair is too fragile as it is
My skin crawls..it must hurt.
The stylist
The person doing her hair has skills. However, I personally would not get microbraids if my hair were this length simply because it isn’t healthy. I would just let nature take its course and give my hair lots of TLC so it will grow.
why would you say this? prove that this style is not healthy or HUSH!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Every women girl deserve. To Be Beautiful!!!!!!
That’s witchcraft.
Kudos to the braider
This is good!
If my hair was like this I would be happy somebody could hook me up
Damn Miracle on that head !! Do your thang!!!
WOW
Smh
Wow
Hell no!
Micro braids don’t take your hair out unless you pull it out..I’ve worn micro for thirteen years..you massage your scalp with oil and try not to pull your hair back until it’s been braided a least three weeks…I love them..
Say that again. I’m reading these comment and I’m like people don’t have a clue at all.
I wear the Senegalese myself. I get a full set every 3 months and plenty of touch ups throughout that time and I don’t have a problem. Yes there is some breakage, but our hair shed daily.
It’s worth it if it makes her feel better about herself. Maybe she has an illness or medication caused it…. OR maybe her hair just don’t grow!
Who knows, but the stylist has skills and patience.
I agree..so much negativity is not “healthy “
It ripped out her hair. Obviously its not going to make her feel better
I have seen Alopecia it looks like this or sometimes worse… it’s great and amazing that women have these many hairstyles.
She better embrace them lil beebees and try to grow her hair lol
Is this her hair before the braids was installed? It’s cute…some people just know how to braid with no stress to the hair causing no breakage. (Wish I was this good lol) My neighbor is a professional braider and is VERY GOOD.
A machine comb that
Defo not! Will be damage/breakage!! If she want to keep her hair healthy and growth then use a wig or something else!
ouch!
Her braids are beautiful
This is horrible, i would not want to go to a stylist who would do this to a clients head. Granted they did a great job, but this is bg far the wrong style for her.
The stylist is BEYOND skilled! But…not good for the clients current condition. A wig I think would have been better…
Jesus wow
She doesn’t have any hair now just wait until she takes those braids out
Miracle Worker
how does a female hair get that damaged ?
Wow!
Where is this picture at.
Real nice they caught that, did that!!!
Lawd how mercy!
Are u all talking about the talent she has or the hair she dont have!
Wow
Miracle
It all depends.
Noooooooooooooo the braids are so small. They will damage her hair even more after she takes them out….
You made me Spit my water out.lol
Ouch
That’s why it’s down to tha white meat now. She needs to let her scalp and what’s left of her hair recuperate. Stay out of her head for a few year’s.
Po thang. =[
Now that’s skill!
Those are micro-braids for real
Looks like that would make her situation worse.
I need her hook up! !
Beautiful work but she needs to start over natural an healthy
Noooooo
I wonder how long this took?
she will never have any hair! =/
How she/he grip that
Nice
Nice
That’s why her edges look like that in the first place smh #RIPtotheedges
I braid and wear braid. My hair is extremely long. I have braided people hair same length and kept braiding it. Whose to say that it’s not healthy for her hair. It actually is as long as it’s taken care of.
SKILLZ…but not healthy for thr hair
Wow speechless
Thats why shes bald now.nice braids tho
No way!
Maybe if its growing back…God bless the woman and her fingers!!
A lot of damn braids. Hate to take those out
O wow
Talent gf
Now that’s skill I have a pinky finger minimum
Worked for me. My hair grew 4″ but then again, I have a professional working with my hair.
Someone can braid their behind off.
This is a horrible idea for the client!! Better massage that scalp with castor oil and rosemary and throw a wig on. Shoot. This will ruin the little bit she has
It’s ok if she takes care of the roots and don’t leave them up long
Damn….Skillz
Stylist work it GREAT, but nope not worth it and not healthy at all. Love the talent.
That s**t is bad word whoever did that got some serious talent
It’s not healthy at all even if they are properly taken cared of. My hair was in knots after taking mines out. I had more hair on the floor than on my head but thank God I don’t mind doing the big chop at all. Love my nappiness!!!
I know she won’t do that again
No it’s not… goodness!!
Nice
#Nohaircommunity
Dang
Miracle worker hair stylist. .
Oh wow!!
One word Miracle right before your eyes
It is worth is for this young lady. Like others said she could have alopecia or her hair just doesn’t grow and this makes her feel good about herself. Braids can be healthy if she takes care of them correctly. I think it looks great if she likes it I love it who am I to judge
she is on her way to a healthy hair of natural hair, I’m happy for her, I hope she knows it is perms that are unhealthy
Terrible for her hair.. Smh, I’d rather have a stylist that will educated me and be an advocate for my hair’s health then be about making $$
Ouch!!!
I also suffer from alopecia and this i,s how i loss all my hair letting people braid my hair in tight hair styles its so not worth it
My question is what does a girl do when it has that much damage and you may not look good in a close cut?
eeewwwweee! I just dont get it! Too much fa me…or shall I say too little
What the hell I glad my hair don’t look like that… I whether have thick hair that is longer than that…
If they can grip that, they are good…
Never worth it ..
Maybe that’s her hair after the big chop and its blown out so the stylist can grip it to braid.. But the stylist is talented..
Amazing
Why judge her tho?
Wow she can catch that amazing skills
yes!
Interesting
Wow that is not good at all!
I’d never take those out lol
Oh! Wow
Wow.. Amazing
She’s not losing anything.
Wow,talk about skills….
Too small
Some women aren’t able to be blessed with a head full of of hair, this can be caused by many things, stress, thyroids ect. Any whoo all women deserve to feel beautiful. So if that means rocking this style for a short period of time, kuddos to her..
i’m sure this was caused by being miseducated about your natural hair and CHEMICALS, she is on the right track
Ouch! Hell nah! Smh
Llf I seen another pick like this sept they were box braids
Wow looks like that hurts
Yeah that will definitely leave her with no edges
Wow…
I wouldn’t have done that I would have cut all my shut off n start over.. But it’s cute n neat. But hey it’s her head, hell everybody ain’t able.. She must had to pay big lol
Damn
Lol she’s gonna lose that peach fuzz! Them micro braids will have u bald n edge less!
Totally contradiction to your website I’m done
She’s a magician!
Wth
She need them ,but they don’t leave u bald
She’s good!
That’s pure skills! But if that was my hair I would just bald my head.
Wow thats a miracle! !!!!!!
I’m not tryna be messy at all… But she has no business with micros…AT ALL! It’ll pretty much never grow. She should just take the L and chop it all. But major props to the braider. Mad skill
The thought makes me cringe.
Wow No Words I am speechless
Love the style but that is not healthy at all. Poor edges already gone!
Cold
Now who ever did this needs a mvp
Omg she must not want her hair smh, I hate micro braids
This makes me wna tk my braids out Lol. Because their kinda small Lol. But bigger than what I Normally do. Earleesa V. Daniel my hair is thick. I’m scared of my hair ever being thin.
That was pure talent…
Mad skills
It should not be pulled.it she breathe..until its. Fuller
She probably was in a fight
You about to be bald for real
SKILLS!!!
wow! that’s some skill
Hell no!!!
Omg…how long did it take to put them in? It’s gonna take twice as long to get them out. Wow!
It’s a worth a try cuz she aint got nothing and I do mean nothing, to lose.
If it’s worth it to HER. .why is it YOUR BUSINESS?
I don’t even have to take them out and I’m mad just thinking about it!! Lol…dannng
She shld leave them in til ha s**t grow 4in
That’s real s**t right people do be coming at u when you have braids lls
These comments to damn funny
Who Eva did this is a beast nice an neat.
YEA BUT IT WOULD BE A TASK LOL. I DON’T HAVE THE PATIENCE.
Micros eat away at your hair. Especially if you scratch.
#skills#
Dang they can braid hair they can braid that short they are good
Yikes..
beautiful job even though patience would be hard to have 🙂
Omg
Wow, is all I can say them fingers gotta be tired after that, but whoever did it big ups to them!!
I suffer from trichotillomania and yes this may be worth it and help to quell the impulse to literally pull your own hair out aka HEALTHY.
I need there to do mys
If I was her I would’ve just bought me one of those braid wigs that was circulating the web with the babybhairs in the front. #Js
Looks like a offal long time. ..
All I can Say is ouch
Where’s ur hair? Gon lose what little u got. Damn shame. Start from scratch n go bald. Ur already 2 minutes away from losing it anyway!
Skillzzz
Wow that is so beautiful and neat but she wonders why she is bald head now…. there’s nothing to even grab.. Its not worth it honey…
Who cares if it’s not Healthy
I’ve absolutely never heard of micro braids being unhealthy for hair. & I’ve cut my hair plenty of times & grew it back with the help of micro braids! Smh & I’m natural
This is wrong on so many levels.
#Skillz
That’s is crazy
Amazing
If they’re too tight, it’s highly unhealthy and can cause traction alopecia. That’s when you have to learn how to open your mouth and communicate with your stylist (as well as yours kids’ stylists) because some of them braid entirely too tightly.
Pretty freaking amazing. Speechless…….
She needs to take hair vitamins and oil her scalp while she has it braided, it may strengthen the hair.
Who do dis. Guddd
Damn!! she did that!!?? #ThatsTalent
Who ever braided her hair has bars!
She needs a fade
I wouldn’t have the patience for that
In this case she should just give up faith
Braiding with that tiny bit of pubehuirrrr
Cute braids
How its done hair very short
Talent!
Kudos to the stylist but who gone take them out
Taken them is easy, you would cut most of the braid,
I just came here to read the comments
I hate that people are saying braids are not healthy they actually are it will grow her hair all she has to do when it gets old to take it down. Braids only take out people hair when they leave it in forever and the hair is hanging by strings pulling out the edges all she has to do is take care of her hair and keep the ends cut it will grow even with it being very damaged
She’s doing a good job
That’s skill.
She’s gonna have less hair when she take those braids out!!
The braids are probably making her bald tho
I’ve had clients like this and none of the hair was damaged it actually grew thicker and fuller it’s all in the hands
If yall think hair styles are the only reason a person loses hair you better get back to reality before you find yourself with a unexplained hair loss or baldness whether it be from hormones or disease
Wow this braider has some SERIOUS SKILLS
She did that!!!!!
If her stylist knows about her hair condition why would she even attempt to do the braids? Shouldn’t she have been consulted first or do most just do what their clients ask of them…
Perfect…congratulations…great work
How much
Skills..
Fa real
Wow very nyc
She would of been better off treating her hair with the do gro kit And wearing a lace front I stay cuting mine
She won’t have any once it’s time to take it out… Talented fingers though
Unfortunately everyone has there own opinions and preferences. Can you imagen how much better she feels after this install. Not only that she may actually be in the growing back phase . she could have suffered for something prior to this hair length. But…what difference does it make if her hair is laid lol as most people say…..
Society has made her uncomfortable with wearing her hair length as well as these comments.
However…Great job stylist you did a fantastic job ….and honeyyyyy wear you hair.
Fun fact* no hair style is considered healthy if you do not maintain it or even know how…sew ins, any braids, quick weaves, triple silk press, wraps, even natural afro can be a bad chose for someome who not a hair expert
ouch !
She’ll be bald soon
yes its worth it have u ever had hair like that …. believe me u wont even be able to go outside
Hey perhaps her hair is starting to grow back after chemo or she started over being natural. Who knows, but those braids are cute. The stylist has talent! I think any braids can pull anyone’s hair regardless.
Nice!
wauw
its pretty once its done but the hair isn’t gonna grow much, you got to be careful with the edges 🙂
Skills!
U DID DAT!!!
No one is judging. We all have opinions and are simply giving one. Some people get uptight for no reason. We are all entitled to our opinions.
Beautiful
I got my hair kinky twisted years ago at an African braiding shop….I was crying as I and my cousin were taking them out of my hair because my hair was also coming out right along with the twists…I vowed to never get that done again & my daughters are not allowed to get their hair micro braided or styled that tiny. Lesson definitely learned.
DAMN!!!
Somebody has skills!
How was this possible
That stylist did that!!!!
O, my
Noe
Wow didn’t know they can catch it that short.
Waouuuu
who gone take them s***s out though????
It breaks off what hair you do have . Jell it down. An go. Or a wig.
Ppl are just so negative and judgemental these daydon’t know what person is going through but it’s just a cruel world we live in
Who ever is braiding her hair sweety you got skills, cause that short hair my fingers & nuckles a be broke.
nice but that hair is weak and she will lose all her perimeter. thats the sad part. coming from a professional licensed stylist
Oh no
Oh no
i LOVE IT! B E A U T I F U L W O R K ! ! !
i LOVE IT°°°° NICE WORK, THANKS TO SHARE!
Looking good
a wig would have been better to keep her hair protected and not put all that stress and strain on it braiding it but if it makes her feel better about herself for a little while and that is one less thing worrying her then im all for it
She will have less than that when those braids start sliding off those crumbs of hair
It’s high time for Hairfinity Hair Vitamins and lay off the braids, they’re not healthy for you.
Waouhhhh
why are you people saying this hairstyle isn’t healthy and she has NO HAIR!???
curly hair has the ability to stretch and return to size, it’s called elasticity the hair of Africans can withstand this hairstyle and benefit from it if they steer clear of the white man’s chemicals… our hair is very adaptable!
she has noo chemicals on her hair,s she will be just fine
my natural hair loves to be pulled, she will have new growth in about a week that will loosen these braids, until then all she needs to do is wear loose ponytails
OMG!!!!! What happend here?
Where this person and what’s the price. My hair is about like that
Beautiful…. the stylist has skills!
Wowww! I like it
Very much worth it.. damn near impressed..
Stylist has mad skills, but that’s not good for her all it’s gonna do is pull her hair out because it’s deff put in tight…
Love it
Not being negative but being a licensed Cosmetologist and braider for over 17 years.. not just that her hair is short but thin .. braids too small .. this can can cause more hair loss (traction alopecia) over time this is not healthy… Speaking from experience that’s all no shade thrown
And this stylist has skills tho!! Excellent braided!!
That’s beautiful.. The stylist worked a miracle
SKILLS….
its a good job and I hope her hair grows with them braids – who has time to gel that down everyday?
That’s what I was thinking too @ I hope her hair grows
This is nice
Grammy award goes to..
Thats talent to be able to catch that and braid it
Looks painful
Wow. That’s talent right there
Girl I hope you got paid well cause I know you put in some work!!!
Nope!
Whoao, no it isn’t. I recently removed my sew in and my hair is mucch thinner and lost length. W e have to be careful when it comes to these particular style. Oh man I feel disappointed for her.
WoW…..
No!
Those poor lil edges are barely there as is. They won’t last long, the braids are either gonna slide out itll just shed out from the tension. And I can imagine the hurt she went thru to get em done, and small at that. AINT NO WAY!!! #PRETTYTHO
Looks like she lost what little hair she had from the braids. I would be afraid of ending up completely bald.
#nicelydone
The poor girl will have a difficult time getting those tiny braids out of her hair which might cause breakage…She should’ve done something else.
First before she got the braids she should of treated her hair like a good trim… The braids and the size of them are going to break her hair off more. No shade or hating but she will not have any hair once they are taken out!!
Where are located
That got to hurt, like some one poured honey on your head and dipped it in an ant bed.
She wont have any hair after this
Wow amazing!!!!!
OK snatch it!!!!!
Gifted
Thank the lord for the person who invented micro for these picky head females….
This lady is in deep trouble, especially if she keeps these braids in for longer than a week. The remaining hair on her head will fall out.
I’ve just developed arthritis in my fingers just looking at this picture
Very good
Nice job! But who gonna help her take it down? ????
LeAnn Perry Always someone trying to be negative or “funny”! Smh
Cut them out. Lol
I was thinking the same thing????????♀️
The wind
It will be easy to take out because her hair is short.
LeAnn Perry just pull it and it will come off easily ????
LeAnn Perry that’s the first thing that came to mind
LeAnn Perry I never get braids that small for the same reason
Cut, condition, then comb out.
LeAnn Perry As short as her is, it ain’t gone take but a hot minute
Absolutely not
Yikes
How much will be left
Omg
Oh wow
There will be even less hair left when she takes that down.
My longer thicker girl in post braids not good hair right now just let grow natrually..braid going pull new growth out smh
Natrual is way go..online got great information ways u can grow healthy hair : african American natrual hair treatments also youtude is great depends video careful on YouTube.. Alot video stars on YouTube help many girl grow natrual hair back..
So..the minute she either get it wet or have a couple of Hot flashes..they will be slipping an sliding out. Good luck..
Stay there stuff hater!!
i am thinking you mean bald…
Again: short hair dont mean bald you have full thick and short or long short hair natruals short dont always mean bald headed,, just because ppl dont see your natrual hair dont you aint bald under your weave or lace front smh fake it until you make it honey who you fooling smh trying be cute behind your computer bald as u wana be lol judge ppl hair really?? Get a life!!
If ask I cut my hair personally short middle length full thick thanks!!
Listen… I’m team natural all the way, her hair looks very soft..so when you braid short soft hair it tends to loosen up due to it becoming wet, either rain, taking a shower or sweating… not laughing or talking down on her. Bless her little heart for going thru this. Like I said Good Luck
Them bad boys finna slip & slide off her head
Alexis Megan Maybe that’s what she wanted or maybe her hair was short, so that’s what they had to do.
As a stylist I wouldn’t touch this with a 10ft pole. You’ll never tell ppl I’m the reason you a small head bald head
LOVES MY skin-bald head cut..when I CUT WAAAY-DOWN. LOVING THE SKIN I’M IN…HAIR DON’T DEFINE MY INNER SELF.
She don’t need nothing pulling, creating tension on the that itty bitty lil hair. She need to be massaging it and stimulating them follicles.
That takes skills to grip that tight
Alexis Megan This is why you have to be careful with ppl doing your hair. Some can cause serious damage to it.
No style is worth that
Omg… That’s a project– especially when the hair is so short…#Super patienceisneeded…#4sure..#OhIknow#Thebraider????????????♀️????????????
I see nothing wrong with it
It looks nice.
braids out impossible
If she ever gets in a fight, free fade
Not worth it at all.
Wow! Just wow! It takes a special kind of person with special finger skills to notch that together, but nicely done ????????
Agreed.
No mam. That can slide or cause more damaged to that hair thats remaining.
The work is beautiful.
Janine Smith???? thought she was bald before she ain’t go have shit on her head by the time them braids come out ????????♀️…. But whoever did the braids got a amazing grip. Hair was shorter than minute rice
Sorcery is what it is
Wow that gotta hurt though but cute
Actially it probably feels good and stimulates the scalp.
Poor head will be bald pretty soon
Rip to lil bit of hair left on that scalp????????????????
She should’ve just invested in a good wig and got hair treatments to get her own hair back on track.
That’s skills
Tahira Buckman how can you be certain? You can’t. You are making assumptions. ✌????
Shameka Sells i wouldn’t put no tight braids on hair like that period. But hey, my hair is only about to be BSL. Idk what I’m talking about.
Shameka Sells like all her edges are braided…definitely is damaging.
IF HAVING LOOONG HAIR DEFINES WHO YOU ARE..THAN ALL MEANS GO FOR IT. I MYSELF CAN BE SKIN-BALD HEAD & (STILL BE ME).
Shameka Sells the caption reads “Is it worth it?” So obviously the reddened scalp and missing edges and thin hair is the result of the micro braids
I have seen it done
No no. Nope nope nahhhhh nah nah no nooooooo
Not at all
The skills are impressive, but it should not have been done on that already damaged and thinning hair.
Just get a braided wig. Less damage and time
She’ll probably pay somebody to take those out…
They would have to pay me alot to do this. This is time, patience, and skills
Some ppl hair thrives.
No but to eacb they own
And thats the reason she barely has hair. Smh
IT IS PRETTY..LOTS OF WORK.BUT..THEY WILL HAVE TO SPRAY SOMETHING ON MY HEAD AND THE BRAID WOULD JUST SLIDE OR SLIP OUT ON THERE OWN.. ????
O hell no ????????
Her hair doesn’t actually look damaged, besides the front, it just looks short- like it’s growing out of a short or tapered cut… I still wouldn’t touch it, but a real good stylist would know how to adjust their hands… I don’t think these micro braids are good for anyone’s hair though
No
Yup it worth it… It’s just hair ????????♀️
My scalp hurts, looking at that
To her it is????????????
She have micro braids??
She may as well cut her hair down to one length and dye it a cute color.
At least 2 inches , that’s a lot of pulling
Thw tension on the scalp is not worth it…ur not going to have any hair when u take them out…if they last..
No! U never braid from the edges. IDK what’s wrong with people today.
Nope
I did some braids like this back in the day…. if u don’t do them extremely tight nd keep it well moistured…her hair should be ok
A magician comb that….
She will stay bald if she continues the zillion braids..looks painful.
No no no no no no no boo. Thats my she bald headed in the first place.
Amazing ability to micro braid
Ouch!
Her head, her business. How many times are we going to see black women ruin their hair for a quick fix of looking for for a few months.
If she doesn’t care, why should i?
Nicely done
No way ????????♀️
For some people yes. This is not a good example for everyone. I had micros for years and I have a head full of hair today. It’s about how you take care of your scalp with the braids in, the quality of the person doing the braiding and how you take care of your hair between braiding sessions.
Laura Marie as well as the strength of your hair, naturally. Somethings are genetic and there isn’t much you can do.
Jamika Maldonado it depends on your hair and scalp. For me I do a lot of hot oil treatments with olive and coconut oils and essential oils. Maybe you could put it in an applicator bottle to apply it to your scalp.
Bless the skill of his Stylist. Beautiful
Neat.
Someone teach me how to grip like that????♀️????
That’s a job well done her hair is gonna grow like a weed
Where
braids do help your hair grow even if you have short hair I had really long hair but it wasn’t healthy so I had cut it down and for the last five months I’ve had braids in my hair and my hair has grown a lot so I told myself for the next two years imma just wear braids and see how much healthier my hair can be as since I’ve had braids my hair is much healthier
Nope, never ever
Who taking them out ?
Yes…‼️‼️‼️‼️
I only to micros with my real hair. Stands to reason them could damage the hair if extensions..
I hope it works for her. The world is so hard on us and we know it’s the same when it comes to our hair. Let’s support her.
That person grip game is a1????????????
Yes, it’s worth it
